The ruins of the old city of the Exaequare. Legend says that a great battle took place here millions of years ago, destroying the city in the process. The Elder at the time, after the battle had finished, claimed the ruins to be a holy ground, and thus entrance is strictly prohibited except by those of significant rank.

The area shows well the signs of aging, but the fallen buildings, despite being covered in moss, vines and other greenery, seem impervious to decay and are still in the same condition they once were, only broken apart, some more than others.

[Yes, I know the stone in the picture is aging. Use your imagination and STFU.]

Tsukiko's body shimmered like a mirage in the air until she finally solidly appeared. Dolor, still trapped in her barrier, appeared alongside her. Her eyes quickly scanned the area, a reflex of habit more than anything, and she took a few minutes, in which she was completely motionless, to check her entire CPU to make sure everything of hers was functioning correctly. Once she found everything was in order, she moved once more, leaping to the highest point of the ruins and scouting out the place that seemed to stretch out for miles. The ruins, while covered in moss and vines, seemed impervious to age, something that intrigued her enough to chip off a small block of stone and stick it in her robes to analyze later. Once she was done with her search, she finally let out a series of short, very high-pitched beeps that would alert Caelum of her presence, given she had every intention of drawing him to her, not the other way around. If she was going to fight on enemy soil, she would at least use this ground, which she had already checked for other life forms, as a battlefield.

To herself, she began to contemplate just how she was going to go about this; she already had a general idea, but had saved the specifics for now. After all, she would have had to adjust her plan to suit the circumstances, so she had thought it more prudent to think of the details later, and simply rest while she had been plugged into the Training Room's wall. Tsukiko would certainly have to restrain her mother and probably Elisia before running off with Caelum to talk to him in private, or else they may be liable to follow. And that was one thing she could not have, as absolutely no one was to know what was going on until Hei himself had proven to them that he was alive, just in case. The last thing she wished to do was upset her mother, or give her false hopes... just in case Caelum decided not to. Eventually, after working out the specifics, she settled down, and sat where she had been standing, letting her mind wander to two things at once; Hei coming back to life, and Elisia herself. Despite her trance, she was still very aware of her surroundings, at least on a mechanical level.

[Small post to get everyone to know where to go and whatnot. Transition might be a little confusing for some. Sorry. >_<]

"Truth is simply a conception..."

Hideki's image made its outline visible before 'wobbling' in like a heat wave distorting it until it was finally visibly solid. He was still looking towards Tsukiko, but noticed Aurelius was not present next to him at all. He must have stayed behind to call us back and to be sure that he could be taken by Caelum or the like. Hideki's eyes revolved in his head, something comical, but much needed, as he surveyed the land in X-ray vision, seeing behind the stone, getting the lay of the land, just as Tsukiko had. He did not have to see her do it, but he knew she was. After everything around him was known to him, Hideki fixed his eyes, shaking his head and blinking to help fixate their positions again.

Hideki looked to everyone before stopping at Tsukiko, noticing Dolor was with us. Such a cynical creature, even when suspended. It was all on his face. After making sure everything was here, and after a slight jump at Tsukiko's odd noise, Hideki looked at the ruins with his actual eyes. He was expecting far more, technologically based, in terms of the way the civilization was going to look. Granted the actual Exaequare gave no such image, Hideki couldn't help but want to see a tech filled city. Though a lot of the area was damaged, it was well kept. He could tell whenever the defacement occurred it was long ago. Hideki was also surprised to find that the gravity here was relatively the same as in the Seireitei, from what he could tell. Whether it was due to Tsukiko effecting the area or not, he could not tell for sure. In any case, Hideki had a feeling he knew what Tsukiko was doing by using that odd noise, and simply let his right arm rest on Datenshi's Tsuka, and his left within its respective pocket; This was only after he replaced the lollipop that was within his mouth with a new one.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho

"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take."

Lee listened to everything that was being said without saying a word sparing a glance at Tetsunosuke when approached and given a small statement.
"Hardly. You got mighty formal all of a sudden." With that Lee turned his attention to Yuki as she got up and began delivering a speech that was quite unneeded. Lee was well aware of the danger and had no problem letting an ally get hurt for a deathblow yet he would still do what he thought best if the ally was in mortal danger. He was certainly not the only kido specialist in Soul Society sure he was generally accepted as the best but Yuki was not far behind him so he was more expendable then the rest in his eyes. Still Lee wasn't planning anything foolish so there was no need for him to be told to adopt the second division's way. Then moments before they were transported his newly appointed Lieutenant arrived to introduce herself gaining a short look from Lee before he simply faded out.

Moments later after fading back in Lee was looking at an old city or at least ruined city since it didn't look decayed really. Still the vines and stuff was a dead give away to it's age. All his functions seemed to be working fine and air came easily leaving Lee to come to the conclusion that they were fine and perhaps in a dimension similar to Soul Society and the Human World. Hideki was around and Lee had heard him say something about being the new thirteenth division captain so it was obvious of the promotion. Tsukiko leaving for higher ground was not at all unexpected and Lee just wished he could read the girl's mind to know exactly what she had planned.

No questions were raised on his end however regarding her reasoning for doing this and after a few moments he to moved to higher ground to get a better view point. Stopping once he could see a fair part of everything Lee simply stood there motionless and deep in thought. How long would it take them to be noticed? An odd noise went out for a few seconds before dieing down leaving Lee to close his eyes and take a seat on the bit of the ruins he was standing on cross legged. There was no sign of Eriko which was not necessarily a bad thing yet lee did wonder what exactly happened to her. With a deep breath Lee relaxed and began listening for any signs of things beginning to get to the actual fighting.

"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. That is what the Lily of the Valley symbolizes."

Elisia faded into view, her outline becoming clearer before the rest of herself became solid. She looked around herself in surprise, as she had not been expecting to be moved so quickly. Her hand was at her zanpakuto, as she had placed it there, when another enemy had appeared out of nowhere. That new blond-haired boy had seemed to be new and entirely different to the other Exaequare, not to mention the fact that he had scared her when he had appeared next to Aurelius. Blinking slightly at the change of location, she removed her hand from its place and looked around herself in surprise. From what she could tell, they were around ruins of an old city, most likely of the Exaequare then. Well, this was interesting. She lightly touched one of the fallen buildings, but was surprised by the fact that they didn’t seem to be decaying at all. Noticing the other greenery and vines, she let out a sigh of relief, since her Bankai would be especially effective here. She looked at the other people present. There were only three others – Hideki, Lee and of course, Tsukiko. Her heart leapt a little bit at the sight of the sitting girl, and she had to control the blush that crept up her face.

She moved towards Tsukiko, but as she passed Hideki, she paused briefly and with a smirk on her head, she lightly tapped his forehead. Unfortunately, the new threat meant that she had been unable to reply to Hideki yet and she quietly said in a teasing voice, “Sugar’s bad for your teeth, remember? And I’ll figure out what you’re thinking of me getting out of this entire matter…eventually.” Flashing him a quick grin, she continued on. In a few seconds, she had reached Tsukiko’s side. Tsukiko seemed to be in deep thought and Elisia attempted not to disturb her as she sat down next to Tsukiko. Leaning over, she hugged the girl, whispering quietly into Tsukiko’s ears, “You seem to be thinking really hard. Is everything alright? If there’s anything wrong, you can always tell me.” Pulling away again, she surveyed her surroundings again, simply waiting for Tsukiko to say something. One promise she made to herself, was that she was not going to leave Tsukiko’s side as she had a feeling that the girl would need her support. After all, they were battling the same people from whom Dolor, the one who killed Tsukiko’s father, came from.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa

Sixth Division's Captain

/enters from da Funeral Thread-de ariusu/

Tetsunosuke halted himself from replying to Lee, he awaited until they arrived in Modus Exaequaris. His body warped in as everyone else had done, he peered around, looking to see who made it, obviously everyone, since he was sure that Aurelius' life depended on that factor. He smirked, now everyone would undoubtedly know that Tetsunosuke, was a Captain now. He didn't really feel special or one cloud nine. "Masashi-Taichō, Gobantai-Taichō, which one is any different or less formal? Can't I address you as my equal?" Tetsu shrugged his shoulders and lifted his hands into the air. "I'll be needing you to teach me some higher level Kidō spells after a while, Mashashi-Taichō; please and thank you." Tetsunosuke said as he venture away from the Kidō Expert, his right hand was in the air waving as he did so. Tetsunosuke was walking moderately as he made his way toward a high ground as well. Along the way, Tetsunosuke was walking beside a chest high wall, he ran his fingers across it, ripping the moss and vines away to see the rock itself. It looked impressive, and not a day old. He brows furrowed at his own discovery. But he wasn't distracted by this for long. He looked forward once more to see who else was coming along.

'I don't like this... Did Aurelius know that those two would show?' Tetsunosuke thought with a piece of vine between his finger. "I am just throwing this out there...!" Tetsu said with a raised vocie. "Leaving only our Lieutenants, Third Seats, and Kirisho-Taichō can pose as a problem if they fail. Plus with those two Exaequare and Aurelius being left behind." Tetsunosuke said loudly enough for his comrades to hear. "I'm not worried; -nor doubt their abilities- I am just wondering if Aurelius knew of this, and opted not to tell, Hakase-Taichō." As he said Hakase, he looked toward Tsukiko and gave her a normal glance. He brought his right hand through his hair and cracked his neck. He came to a stop about half way in the middle of the structures. He was being lazy and didn't want to climb any higher. He took and sat down on a structure that was low enough for him to seat on. Tetsunosuke brought his right hand into his shitagi and pulled out a metal flask and some wrapped peanut butter crackers. The flask -which contained water- he opened first and drenched his mouth with the substance. Next he opened the wrapper of the crackers and started to eat them, causing crumbs to fall all over him like a child. "Mmm... I love peanut butter~!" He cheerfully said and leaned back some, he then kicked his legs back and forth like a child. Tetsunosuke was happy for the moment while eating his snack. After he finished the first cracker he sighed and had a said look, "Aw... only five left..." he murmured with a whimper, shrugged, and continued to eat them.

KATO MEISHI

Change is the constant,
the signal for rebirth,
the egg of the phoenix,
Angels are bright still ,
though the.BRIGHTEST fell.

Kato phased into view, his wings acting in similar nature to a shield, in case danger awaited and he wasn't ready. His wings opened up and tucked themselves behind his back as Kato took a good look around him, looking for potential spots for cover and whatnot, as well as places out of sight that could be used against them. "Tsukiko must have planned to send us here...I don't see much here than a couple of buildings; in other words, a perfect battlefield," he said to no one in particular. Kato leaned against a building and tested its sturdiness. This would show a good indication of when it was built, as well as how well it was built. To his surprise, despite nature's signs of aging on the rocky material, the buildings themselves seemed impervious to decay in any way, shape, or form. Noticing this, Kato smiled as he made a joke to himself."We are certainly not in Kansas anymore," referring to a movie he had watched when he lived in the human world. Finally noticing that everyone else had arrived, including Dolor, he quirked an eyebrow at Tetsunosuke as he leaned back on the immortal rock, his wings cushioning him ever-so-slightly. In a calm voice, he stated, "It seems like you are underestimating the adversaries we are about to face, Harasawa." He decided to use his last name, because he had never really spoken to him before, and he really didn't feel like addressing him any differently at this point in time. Even though he had become a captain- that's the only reason he was allowed here, he still lacked somewhat the coolness of mind, or what some would call, the "blood of ice", something he recently gained as well. He turned away from Tetsunosuke just in time to see Elisia and Tsukiko hugging a ways off from his position. "How nice...Tsukiko has been a bit- well, more than a bit...out of it lately, but who's to blame. It's nice to see she has a friend in Elisia; I always thought she was more of an independent person, similar to Hei, but maybe the Hakase family isn't as "independent" as they want us to think," he thought to himself, still watching his surroundings for anything out of the ordinary, although this environment was very new to him, even the wind blew in weird patterns.

Turning his mind to the battle ahead, he couldn't stop a certain question from nagging him; alone in the back of his mind."If their third in command killed Hei...how are we going to face their leader and right hand man?" As he thought more, his questions grew. "And who were those people we ended up leaving behind? What ranks are they?" Knowing these questions were irrelevant because they must be defeated either way, as well as the fact that they would probably announce themselves in some sort of grand fashion, he refrained from asking and kept his mouth shut. Sometimes, not asking a question was better than getting the answer.

[I forget, did Aurelius ever mention his rank in comparison to the rest of the Exaequare?]

Hakase Yuki
博士雪
Ichibantai Taichō

As she appeared, even before becoming fully apparent, Yuki's eyes were already scanning the area. Once solid, Yuki rubbed the back of her head as the little kitsune jumped off her shoulder and at the apex of it's jump, began to distort and become disfigured as it's shape altered to that of Yuki's sealed Zanpakutō. Having a kitsune for a spirit had it's perks, such as being able to disguise her Zanpakutō as a living creature, something that was only achievable due to the kitsune's ability of shape shifting. As the red-handled katana fell, Yuki reached out to grab it just below the tsuba with her left hand, and draw the steel from it's prison with her right. Just as soon as the kissaki had left the saya, she released it, causing her Reiatsu to spike to it's highest level, capable of dropping a few Captains, before lessening, evening itself out, then becoming virtually non-existent.

"Bankai, Ōitsu Rei Nagare." She breathed as her katana's blade shrunk, the tsuba disappeared, and the tsuka-ito fell off as the tsuka shrunk and changed shape a little. Her Haori, shihakusho, and Ginjōtan all dissipated as she went into Bankai, going to some alternate place of storage while her Bankai was active. A semi-loose-fit vibrant red haltertop appeared on her chest, layering itself over her black half-shirt. As her top formed, so did the bottom of a shrine-maiden's outfit that was held up by two braided red cords. Though some might have thought it strange that she would release so quickly, she had a good reason for doing so; that being the storing of Sayō no Anya which would take a minute or two and thus needed to be done while she had that minute. If for some reason she had been wrong and was attacked during this process, she hoped at least one of them had the sense to take the fight away from her.

Sticking her tanto into a pocket in her robes, Yuki flexed her fingers before activating Shunkō and reciting the commands for the two highest level of dark-aligned Kidō in existence. "Hadō no Kyūjū: Kurohitsugi; Bakudō no Kyūjūhachi: Zetsubō no Kurorensa." By speaking these commands, two spheres of jet black Reiryoku formed in her hand, swirling around like a contained cyclone of energy. Normally she would have crushed them simultaneously and absorbed their powers into Shunkō, but the purpose of this was to store them, not use them. "Ryōude Nigiru..." Yuki breathed as Rei helped her control the flow of the Kidō into her bracelets. The spheres in her palms began to phase into a state of being more ethereal than tangible as the bracelets on her arms let off a black glow signifying that the bracelets were prepared to store the Sayō no Anya.

Bursting outwards, the spheres suddenly vanished as they were sucked into the bracelets, taking a part of the Shunkō with them which was evident by the white Kidō energy being pulled from her arms and flowing into the bracelets themselves. The designs on the jewelry flashed black three times before going back to normal, indicating they were ready for use. Once this entire process was done, Yuki removed her Zanpakutō from her robes, quickly sealed her Bankai, reverting it back to her sealed state which caused her Hakama, Haori, black half-shirt, and Ginjōtan to reappear on her body and the tanto expanded back into the katana, then shape shifted back into the kitsune. As Yuki sucked on a lollipop she had stolen from Hideki right out from under his nose, when was anyone's guess, she watched as the little fox ran off into the ruins, presumably to explore the area.

[Aurelius is the 3rd in command, Eke. >_< Also, she's out of Bankai now, just to clarify that...]

The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
And the storms their energy,
While cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Letting out a low chuckle, Tsukiko put her hand on Elisia's left leg and gave it a small squeeze of affection, taking care to do so very lightly. "Yeah, I think a lot, I guess... It comes with being me..." Shutting her eyes, she dropped her head onto Elisia's shoulder, figuring she might as well as wait in comfort with the girl she was very fond of. "I'm sorry I'm so distant, I don't mean to be, I just have a lot on my mind that I'm not ready to talk about yet. Soon, very soon you will know what I mean by that. And... when you do I still hope you don't think less of me." Cringing as Yuki's Reiatsu became very apparent, Tsukiko did her best to hold herself up, slipping her hand to Elisia's back and front to hold her up as well; her right hand being on the small of her back and her left hand resting just below Elisia's chest, a placement that embarrassed Tsukiko enough to make her go red.

As soon as her Reiatsu was gone, Tsukiko kept her hand there as if stuck in a trance, quickly removing it several seconds later when she realized that it was all over. For now, she decided to pretend it had never happened, and proceeded to watch Yuki as she stored the Kidō in her bracelets as well as some of the Shunkō. Once all was said and done, she watched the fox run away and finally turned her attention back to Elisia. Smiling, she put her left hand to Elisia's cheek, turning her head gently to look her way. "Don't worry about me, worry about yourself. I'll protect you, I promise... And when this is over... I have something important to tell you." With this, she kissed Elisia on the lips and vanished on the spot, reappearing some several hundred feet in the air, continuously scouting for Caelum's appearance.

As Tsukiko dropped her head on Elisia’s shoulders, Elisia put her arms around the girl, letting Tsukiko know that she was here for Tsukiko for however long it would be. She had been about to speak, to answer what had been said before, but at that moment, she felt a great weight fall upon her and her arms slipped from around Tsukiko. Unfortunately, she had not been entirely prepared for this and she winced slightly at the sheer power and intensity of Yuki’s Reiatsu. It seemed like their new Captain Commander was present. The only thing that prevented her from dropping to the ground, was the fact that Tsukiko had a firm hold on Elisia. While she was grateful for this and showed it with a faint smile, she couldn’t prevent the crimson from rushing up her cheeks once more. This was caused by the actual placement of where Tsukiko had put her hand on the front, just below her chest. It seemed like she was not the only one that seemed embarrassed by this, since Tsukiko herself was going red. However, she kept silent, attempting to simply compensate and get accustomed to the weight that was upon her. Why did she have to be the one that always needed protection?

As Yuki’s Reiatsu faded and Tsukiko kept her hand there, Elisia nervously queried, “Um…Tsuki…your hand…” only to fall silent again as Tsukiko hurriedly moved her hand away. There was a sense of loss when that happened but she forced herself not to say anything. The kiss when it came, was unexpected and she was slightly awkward about doing this with the other Captains present. Then again, it was about time that the others knew of her feelings, even if Hideki and Yuki most likely knew already. Straightening up, she murmured quietly to no-one in particular, hoping that Tsukiko would be able to hear it with that super-hearing of hers, “I won’t pry if you don’t want me to know, but…Tsuki, if there’s anything you need me to help with, I’ll help you. And I can’t worry about myself when you’re in such a state…” Regrettably, Tsukiko seemed to be engrossed with something important at the moment, so it would be best if Elisia simply left the girl alone for the meantime. Inside, she was itching to know what Tsukiko wanted to tell her, but she needed to concentrate for the meantime. Focusing her eyes on the other Captains present, she was surprised to see the fact that Tetsunosuke was among them. It looked as if it was the time for new Captains and they needed them badly anyway.

Moving quickly towards Tetsunosuke, she eventually reached him and bowed her head slightly. Lifting her head again, she smiled at him cheerfully, saying, “Congratulations on your promotion, Tetsunosuke ~” With that, she stood next to him, cracking open and eating some fortune cookies she had wrapped up in a tissue and put inside her pouch.

Tetsunosuke had ate two more crackers by the time he realized he was became enveloped in his own little world for the moment. He'd never thought of it, but he could possibly have had ADD. What a scary thought. He peered over to Kato as he commented about not being in Kansas anymore. He gave a confused look at his metaphor. He was chewing on a cracker still while having some crumbs on his mouth; he'd take the back of his hand and brush them off, then repeat with his fingers. "I'm fully aware of what is around me, Meishi-taichō" Adding emphasis on Taichō, hinting that he wanted Kato to refer to him in the same manner. "What if I were to die here today -I won't. Just saying- and you had kept me from enjoying my one last snack. . . and you lived through it... could you bare knowing that you, Meishi-taichō, robbed me of my one last pleasure in this life?" Tetsunosuke raised an eyebrow while gandering at him then took a whisk of his water and breathed out with an 'Ahh' noise. He sarcastically took the next cracker and slowly ate it while still staring at the Captain.

Tetsunosuke noticed that Elisia was staring at him then moving his way. He made sure to make his appearance clean by sweeping the crumbs off of him. He knew that her and Tsukiko had a thing going on... but he still like looking good around girls, no matter their orientation. "Y-Yeah... Eli-- Er... Riyu-Taichō." He stood and bowed slightly with his head. His cheeks were slightly pink as he sat back down and ate his other crackers without causing a mess; in more of a mannerly way. "You can sit, Riyu-Taichō... did you get any good fortunes?" He motioned his hand as he scooted over for her. Tetsu added a smile to his question.

◄【 Caelum Terminus 】►

When discussion fails...

Caelum entered the area at the highest point of the ruins. He had softly made his way up there by way of hoping on pieces of the ruin to arrive there. It was simply for him to do by using his Oculus Mentis. Once his body stopped, however, the leather coat that he wore billowed in front of him, making a soft wound with the breeze that followed his movements up to the top. He used his Oculus Mentis to access the sight of every being present and was soon expecting all eyes on him, as he knew half of these people were already looking for him. I am old, but I am not daft. I know you want me here...

Pushing off with his right foot, Caelum jumped down to the open area just in front of Tsukiko and the others. He landed on his right foot with a soft Tsk, his coat suspended behind him, and his left leg bent at the knee. When his coat settled, his left leg came down to catch him. He turned to 'look towards Tsukiko and lifted his right hand to his hairline and pulled his hair back, making sure it was in place. gave a soft smirk and crossed his hands behind him. "Welcome, Shinigami." His face gave no true features as he spoke, leaving them to think of what he was going to do next.

A swift end to you shall be given.

"Tch, so calm..." She thought to herself in regards to Caelum's lackadaisical greeting. It was so devoid of emotion and distress that she knew he was either incredibly arrogant, which was going to he a b***h when it came to negotiating with him, or he was just that damn powerful, which was going to be even worse to deal with. She only knew one other being who acted so calmly in the face of danger and at this moment she desperately wished he was by her side for this. However, he could not be, she just had to accept this. Turning her head to face Caelum, her body following shortly after, Yuki held up a hand, a signal that no one was to engage him just yet. There was still time for a battle, but for now she wanted to see just exactly what asking him might do.

"Caelum Terminus... You sent Aurelius, your 3rd in command, to wipe out six million humans with some sort of item for some reason that has yet to be explained in full to me. I am unsure as to whether I want to hear the reason because I fear I may not understand, but if there's a possibility for negotiation, or if there's something that is well within our power to do, then I will not hesitate to sacrifice our resources so that they may not be erased. My question to you is this; will you retract that order or is my asking completely pointless?" This race seemed to have a strict idea system and seemed to be pretty hell bent on taking care of orders and fulfilling their duty. Yuki had to figure the reason Aurelius was lax at the time was because he was ordered to destroy whomever got in his way, that and he enjoyed the fight itself. Someone was always going to be like that in an organization such as theirs or the Gotei 13.

Unfortunately, she had no hope that her question would incite a change in the Exaequare's ideals, which was evident by the fact that she was tensed up, not to the point of being so tense that she couldn't function properly, but to the point where she wasn't relaxed about the situation. The way things were, if Caleum agreed to retract the order, then she would apologize profusely for intruding and force her subordinates to prostrate themselves. However, if he did not, then she expected them to attack right away. She kept her eyes trained on him, and despite being aware no Exaequare aside from Vesper had a form of instant movement, she kept her senses alert. Her little kitsune came running up to her, and jumped on her shoulder, arcing it's back and growling as it looked at Caelum.

Elisia sat down next to Tetsunosuke, pulling a wry smile. To tell the truth, it was still awkward for her to be called a Taichō, since it had only been a week since she had become one. It was surprising that Tetsunosuke was still addressing her as a Captain even though they were the same rank. Maybe it might be a sign of respect or something similar to that. As he asked her about the fortunes, she rummaged around in her pouch before taking several small pieces of paper from there. She hadn’t even looked at them yet. Tilting her head to one side, she attempted to decipher them, as she was not entirely used to hearing these sayings. As she looked up at Tetsunosuke again, she answered in a puzzled voice, “I think they’re pretty good. One says, ‘If you want the rainbow, you must put up with the rain’, another says, ‘May life throw you a pleasant curve’ and the last one says, ‘The smart thing is to prepare for the unexpected.’ They’re very…strange.” Maybe she should get in the habit of reading more fortunes so that she was used to what the meanings meant. Anyway, it wasn’t like it was very important anyway, since she highly doubted that the people who made these messages could tell the future or anything like that.

It was then that she noticed the new arrival – Caelum. He definitely was not one of the Captain Shinigami, so he must be the leader of the Exaequare. How had he seen them and found them so easily? She followed his movements, not intending to move or fight for the meantime. Nu and Akiri had not arrived yet and to put it simply, it would not do them any good to attack somebody that might not even want to fight yet. This entire thing was confusing her. However, she kept her eyes trained on him, only looking at Yuki when she spoke. Six million humans…this was what they were fighting for. But it was a good question that Yuki posed and it could stop them from having to fight. However, as she looked at Caelum and his expressionless face, she had a feeling deep down that this was not going to work at all. Peace really didn't seem like a solution...

When discussion fails...

Shifting in his boots, Caelum watched, literally, as Yuki turned. His field of vision changed with her movement, not to a large extent, but it changed nonetheless. Caelum soft pulled his hands out from behind his back but as they approached the sides, he flicked them outwards, partly in the act to see if they were completely on edge or not. He moved his right hand to the rim of his glasses and pulled them from his eyes, closing them to prevent them from seeing his eyes, in case Aurelius, of whom they have as a source, from what he could tell. He moved his left hand to pretend to clean his glasses as he spoke, "Your hesitation leads me to believe that you may long for something, something that has been on your mind for a while, something that still is. However," Caelum pulled his glasses back to his face opening his eyes just before they were fully on. "That is most definitely the reason you are here."

Caelum moved his right hand back to his hair and pulled it back, letting out a soft sigh. He returned his hands to behind him, "You know of me? That will clear up some things. You being here also proves to me you do indeed have Aurelius. Problematic, but that will be dealt with later." His voice went dry after he spoke his first question. "I can assume you know of my liking to nonviolent encounters? Unfortunately, I can also assume you know why we Exeaquare exist at all, yes? We keep the balance, and if you look at the humans, they truly flourish. More than needed. I sent Aurelius to eliminate six million humans due to an imbalance. I will continue to send ones to do the same once I have the Human's Crest."

Caelum moved his hands to his face and rubbed for a few seconds, relieving what one would call a type of stress, as he knew they were not going to give up and after his next sentence, this may very well become a blood battle. As he pulled his hands away from his face, he let out another sigh and held his hands at his side; quite military-like. "Can I ask your name? For, I would like to simply tell you by name, that: No. Negotiations for the eradication of six million humans will be met with no leniency. I am afraid I deny your request to ignore what we call an imbalance." Again, Caelum shifted in his boots, this time to become comfortable. He was expecting something after his claim to her request.

A swift end to you shall be given.
