This is something I am currently working on. Enjoy!

I raced through the forest with a Versi on my tail. She had given chase when I tried to sneak by. The humans had all the creature wary and turning against each other. I leapt over a thick root, arching over the ground, and kept running.
I could hear the sounds of the human's machines. The smell of their disgusting fuels they used for them. I hated them and what they were doing to our home.
The Versi stopped as I neared the large concrete barrier to their base. She growled a warning as I leapt over it.
The humans were a almost half our size, their machines were not. They towered over all of us as they lumbered through the forest. I crouched low to the ground, stalking a few of the guards. They had not noticed me, yet.
Since they first invaded our land I had been curious, but father warned me not to go near. They were evil beings that brought death and destruction, but they had an odd stench. As I rounded the next corner I heard a loud click, which I knew was a gun. I stopped dead, staring at the huge metal man before me.

The barrel of the weapon was aimed straight at the Feline. Yet for some reason I could not pull the trigger. I stared at the strange beast, who straightened to stand eight feet tall. We were ordered to fire at any hostiles, but she was not considered hostile, yet.
I shifted my weight, the mech moving with me. I flicked out the arm knife on the machine and held my ground, the creature still stared, unmoving, except for her flicking tail.
I pushed the mech forward, hoping to scare her off without wasting any ammo, not like I had to pay for it though. She stood still.

My ears twitched as I hear more groans of metal. I looked around this one machine to see two more coming, their heavy feet shaking the earth. I hissed, glancing back at the one, then turned and leapt over the barricade. I raced back through the forest before the metal birds chased after me.

"What was that about?" Another Marine asked me.
"I have no clue. Dumb beast was asking to be killed, I guess." I shrugged and turned, heading back to the hanger to end my shift.

I raced through the forest, leaping over the fallen trees as if they were twigs, my tail swinging behind me for balance. I had to get far away from that place, but I would be going back. I headed to the tree tops and leapt from branch to branch as I kept an eye out for those metal birds. None came.
I stopped and looked back, seeing the smoke rising from our earth, I wanted to charge back there and destroy all of them, kill them and revive our planet, but they were too strong, our weapons could only do damage at close range. But I was willing to fight.

I dropped on to my bunk, scrubbing my face with my hands. It had been a long shift, longer than normal and I was beat. I laid down hoping to get some rest before someone came seeking me. I closed my eyes and soon fell in to a light sleep.
I woke a few hours later and headed to get some food. Dinner was about to be served so I would not have to settle for the leftovers. I filled my tray with the foods from this land and sat down, not happy that I had to eat their crap for food. I wanted chicken and steak and chili, nothing here compared to that. I ate the food though, trying not to taste it. It was almost as bad as a salad, but with a salad you could add dressing.
I pushed up from the table and headed out to the mech hangar to start my shift for the night. I climbed inside the mech and started the computers up. The humming of the gears comforted me, made me realize I was more dangerous than those Felines out in the jungle.
With a grin spreading across my face I stepped the mech forward and moved out in to the open. The hangar doors opened with a code from within so I activated the channel and sent my authorization code through. The doors opened for my mech and closed behind me.
Two Osprey helicopters flew past me, headed to the landing strip. I had always wanted to be a side gunner, but this mech was pretty awesome. It could do anything I could, but you had to keep its weight in mind.

Something I did about two years ago when my fiance was first deployed. We were having troubles and he was not owning up. We are doing better now.
