What shoe brand do you wear? D:
I've been wearing converse. This far out pair with peace signs on it. But I recently discovered Nike bought out converse, and Nike use sweatshops, so Im looking for a non-sweatshop alternative. What do you guys wear?

Yep, I have the same issue. I loved Converse until I found that out. That makes me so sad, as I'm only comfortable in Converse. (My fave pair has the word "peace" translated into a dozen other languages.) I've been "recycling" my converses (sewing on new fabric, et cetera), but I'm not sure what I'll do when they are completely worn out. I guess I'll have to learn how to make hemp sandals. blaugh

I have red Kangaroos with blue shoelaces that I wear all the time. One of the pouches is kind of messed up though. sad I need to fix it.

I have the same shoes that I've had for years! I don't think they're "hate-free" and I don't really know any brands that are.
But I think that if you do your shoe shopping at thrift stores and stuff then you're being concious no matter what. You know? Recycling and all.

I have a few pairs of shoes, but the ones I wear the most are black with some purple. I'm not sure what brand. I got bought them at Payless. They were on sale. O:
I have a pair of converse, but I don't wear them as often. They're red and I don't have many clothing items that go with red. (:
I think that's my only big-brand name pair of shoes. o:
I've had them for a few years.

What do you guys wear? bugger. that i did not know. sweatdrop i do wear converse, but i have to confess they totally suck in this wet climte. when i walk home in the rain i have to actually pour the water out of them when i get home. -.-;

Recycling and all. right on! consumer pressure is not the only way to live with global awareness and responsibility. rather than "not doing" things,what things can one do? recycling, helping in the community, becoming a free trade, humane shoe maker? good luck at changing your style for a new exploitation-free look!

I buy from the Salvation Army and Goodwill. I have Steve Madden Platforms and Black Platforms, Black boots, Skecters(sp?) black and white, a pair of 80 converse, the old ones. Sandels. I have many differnet shoes. But I am a barefoot type person. I wear shoes when I have too.
