I've been doing a little vending, but I'm not too big on it. That, and I'm never sure which items to hoard. Would anyone have some suggestions as to which items?
The majority of the gold I have earned through vending has been gained through where I would only purchase one of a certain item, and it would go up a few months to a year later. Other times, I would mostly get lucky by convincing someone to give me an item for much lower than it actually was, which has only occurred during the time when a new rig is released and the 'true value' of the item has been made. All the time, my profit is based on shear luck, and I want to expand this stroke of good fortune just a bit.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm an avid hoarder and one tip I can give you is to not start hoarding until you've established good vending skills.
I'm going to try and tell the captains that we need a hoarding sub-forum... but we'll see.
One item thats currently interesting me is the nitemare sash, it should go up at LEAST 100k in october.
It's steadily increasing and won't be rereleased so it'll always go up!
I'm also hoarding Bani's and goti's.
Bani will go up during the spring and around easter.
Goti will most likely go up during october.

Some items have huge gaps in prices between listings, but nobody buys them, so it has little demand.
I would also make sure you have firefox with auto-password to snatch up deals and misspricings faster.
And like I said, I would wait until you're good at vending and have sufficient funds to actually start hoarding.

I always try and hoard anything seasonal. It might take months...or even a couples years but they always go up the next go around. Also, any item Gaia gives away that has to do with a promotion will go up over time, and if you got it for FREE then it's all profit! MC's can be risky, but it's not too hard to guess which ones are going to rise or fall. Anything elemental, angelic, demonic, or nitemare, etc etc is a good thing to hold onto. Like Ascoltare said, they go up and down according to the season for the most part. The best advice I can give you on hoarding is this: BE PATIENT!!!! xp
