Valerie's gold jaw dropped open, her big violet eyes wide with wonder as she gaped at the big shopping palace. An old man in a tux opened the door of the limousine. The green monster slipped, half fluttered out of the car and skipped over to mommy. Her adopted mom, at the moment, fuddling around in her purse. Flipping through a few a hundred dollar bills Melisa fond a mirror. She took this out a moment to examine herself, and scolded at the single hair put out of place during the drive before putting it right with a licked finger. Melisa felt a tug, blinked, looking down to see her daughter nervously clutching at her skirt. As if she already felt lost. With a kindly smile Milly crouched down said, "Valerie, you know, this place is where All the stuff comes from. In the whole world." she laughed Valerie's eyes grew with delight as a razor fang, sharp smile grew from one elvish ear to the next "Really mommy, for real?" She asked her heart scaled tail waging hopefully, she fluttered her wings in anticipation. "Really." Melisa promised, taking a claw in her hand as they walked into the super mall. The heart shaped gem on the toddler's forehead nearly shone with joy as she looked all around at the stores they past. Her inner greed took hold, 'My mommy will get me all of you things, and you will be mine.' she promised the merchandise... and here her inner patience added, 'Just you wait.'

"Deres lo's an' lo's of stowes hewe Iwwy," Seth commented, looking around the gigantic mall in awe and wonder. Ily had taken him to strip malls and singular stores but this... this was far different. There were so many things to see and do! Unfortunately, they only had enough money for food and possibly a cheap item.
"Yeah. Try not to linger in one store, kay? I hate these crowds," Ily replied, feeling very claustrophobic with the swarms of people walking by. Most gave them a good deal of space as they passed, seeing how lethal she looked. Not to mention her glares sent them skittering off farther.

Ily's crowd parting glare didn't stray Milly away, she owning a little monster daughter of her own, nearly dismissed Illyrosa as a moody teenager. With a huff, nose stuck in the air, she strode straight past her.
As they past Valerie's grubby hands caught hold of Seth's tail. The lovely, feathery end natural caught the greedy monster's attention. Her hands all ready holding an assortment of necklaces and knickknacks she collected from the stalls they past. Her small mouth, covered with powder, (sugar from the ten free sample desert pieces she took from a nice lady giving them out) gaped open she looked up at Seth. The girl realizing the tail was part of a very real boy.

Ily instantly hated the woman, whoever she was, for thinking whatever snobbish thoughts that gave her the right to hold her nose so high. Hell, that lady was EVERYTHING she hated and more concentrated into one person. And the two had yet to say a single word to the other. Hopefully it would end up staying that way.
Seth instantly felt the slight tug on the little fluff of feathers on the end of his tail, looking down to see what could have caught onto it. His purple eyes stared back at the girl for a long moment before a soft grin spread across his face. “Hai. I Seth,” he introduced, lightly tapping Ily’s shoulder as a way of getting her attention. He often did that so she would stop and let him look over whatever happened to catch his attention but not today. Today, it was to follow the girl so she wouldn’t pull out his fairly sensitive feathers. “Wan’ a fedder? Can gives you one, bu’ not aww of ‘em,” he offered her, seeing as giving up all the feathers on his tail would prove to be incredibly painful.
