Eztil opened his eyes lazily, forgetting for a moment where he was and what he was doing... until he glanced beside him. Right. Her. He'd forgotten about her. He had already forgotten her name, seeing no point in recalling who she was now. There was no point in remembering who she was anyway. Her purpose had been served as far as he was conrcerned.
He stood and stretched out, then headed towards the enterance. Best to leave things as they were, he did hate crying women... well, that was a lie. Sometimes the misery he brought with him was all the payment he needed. Making others suffer always gave him a kick. A good chuckle.
But he really wasn't in the mood.
Hinekiri woke almost as soon as the lion beside her moved. Unlike Eztil Hinekiri remembered everything from the night before. She had fallen alseep thinking about what she had done, was it right, was she going to get in trouble should she have done what she did... it was a whirl of questions in the lionesses head.
She perked up a little and looked at Eztil a little concerned was he leaving? Was he mad with her? Had she made a mistake? The questions continue to spin in her head. "Good morning!" she said in a soft whisper. She hoped he was the gentlemen that she remembered.
Eztil stopped, sighing a little, "Morning..." H. Her name had started with an H he was sure, he hadn't paid much attention. A lot easier to call her 'pretty' or 'my lady' or whatever it was that women seemed to like. It only made them easier to fool. Men, women, it didn't matter. All were simple, and fell prey to flattery first of all.
"I suppose we stayed out all night. Your family will be worried about you." Hopefully that would send her away, he wasn't in the mood for a big confrontation that morning. He should have gone back to the pride earlier... more people to fool. But he was feeling more relaxed, which was nice. His job could be so very stressful...
Hinekiri looked around herself it was indeed morning, she cringed to think about what returning home might hold for her, or would anyone notice at all that she had been gone all night, everyone was always so interested in their own things, working on their plays running a pride she could see how she the quiet one could be over looked. "Wow I guess I should get back, would you mind walking me."
Truth me told Hinekiri had never been in the desert all on her own she had always had someone with her and today wasn't a day that she cared to make this experience it for the first time. "I am not sure that I remember where my home is." It was true she wasn't 100% sure where she should go from here.
Eztil raised an eyebrow. What, the girl expected his help? He had much better things to do with his time than deal with her. He couldn't leave for too long, and worse if they believed he had abandoned them... but he would have a lie by the time he arrived back home.
"I'm afraid you'll have to go back on your own. I have business to attend to." he said stiffly, unimpressed by her, "If I am gone for too long, I am afraid that it is entirely possible I will lose things which are... important to me." And she was not.
It was quite possible that Hinekiri's eyes began to well up as soon as Eztil said 'I'm afrraid.' She had no idea how to get home, and he had been so kind to her the night before, it was so hard and confusing for her. "Please I don't mean to be an inconvience to you, I really don't know my way home. You dont have to travel with me the whole way just get me going in the right direction help me get most of the way there." she whispered. "I promise to move quickly."
Hinekiri's fears began to get the best of her it was quite hard for her she didn't know what to say, she began to realize that perhaps the way her mother and sister were killed was by wondering the desert on their own. Her emotions began to bubble closer and closer to the surface.
Now he was annoyed. Extremely so. "I have business to attend to girl. Simply because I have no family does not mean that I do not have better things to do that guide you around like an insolent child. You are old enough to take care of yourself, and you should do exactly that."
"Now if you'll excuse me, there are thsoe who actually require my assistance." Honestly, enough was enough. Whining. He hated the sound of whining. Begging was a lot more fun... tears, entertaining. This, just irritating sounds."
Hinekiri was beyond words, she didn't know what to say or do this was horrible. She sighed perhaps he would at least point her in the right direction. She put a bold face on and sucked up all her emotions, she was better then this, her mother had taught her to be strong. "Thats fine... could you at least point me in the right direnction?" she asked, her voice was no longer whiney but instead strong and steady,
Inside her stomach was doing turns, she was very worried about what may happen. Perhaps this was a mistake everything, she shouldn't have trusted him.... but that was irrelevent now... all that was imprtant now was that she made it back home, to what family she did have.
Eztil raised an eyebrow, "You honestly think I remember where you came from? I'm sorry, but I wasn't." He wasn't sorry, and he didn't much care whether or not she could tell he wasn't. He was losing interest, and losing it fast at this point.
"You'll have to excuse me though, I really do have places to be. Hope you find your way." Or rather, didn't give a second thought to whether or not she would make her way. Honestly, she was pretty, but the lioness didn't have much else going for her in terms of brains.
Hinekiri was unsure of what to say, perhaps she should just let Eztil go and follow him until something familiar caught her eye, it seemed like the best plan at hand but she was nervous that Eztil would turn on her more then he already had. The lioness' world felt like it had been turned upside down, she wondered what type of trouble she had gotten herself into. They hadn't walked very far last night perhaps she would be able to find her way home ok.
"I understand." she said quietly. "If you dont mind too much, perhaps I will follow behind you to see if anything strikes my interest, perhaps something will catch my eye and I will make it home. I promise not to follow too close, and I wont even speak." Hinekiri looked up at Eztil this was her last hope.
Oh great, now she wanted to come after him? He couldn't very well risk her coming and following him back home... or, whatever suited him as home these days rather, "No, you may not follow me. Do your own damn looking." He hissed, beginning to get annoyed, "Don't push your problems on me!"
With that, he went to leave. Yet there was that tingle of satisfaction that made him smile as he left. He wouldn't say he had ruined the lioness' life forever, but he had left a lasting nasty impression... which was always so very amusing, in the long run. She had been so certain of him and his helpfulness... some people were too easy to fool.
Hinekiri sat some what wanting to follor Eztil she was sure if she would last very long if she even dare try that. Instead she ast in the den and began to whimper she hated to be so weak, but the whole expereince had brought thoughts of when she lots her mother roaring back. It was utterly painful. For now the bright lioness sat in the back of the den barely lifting her head she knew that she had to make her way back home, but she wasn't ready to face her family yet.... hell she didn't think she could even face her own reflection.
