“5 days…” Panting loudly Shriek glanced around, she could barely hear the leaves crunch under her paws as she stumped along, “Day 5, hour 19… Test 2…” Biting her lip Shriek’s head shot to her side hearing something faint but seeing nothing there, “I can still hear, faintly enough…” Almost as if she were writing now her own notes Shriek opened her mouth and snapped it closed, then again and again her mouth making a chomping sound. Growling Shriek clawed the ground never stopping her march on, “Chomping is slipping…” Shrieks ears twitched as the sounds around her weren’t enough to make her happy, to make her feel sounds.
“I can’t let this happen!” Her thoughts were forever aloud for fear of not being able to hear herself think. “Nothing… Nothing I can do!” Barking Shriek trotted on her paws making dents in the ground, things weren’t getting any better for Shriek. She was alone, which she hated, she was losing her hearing, which she despised, she couldn’t deal with this anymore! Letting out a loud howl Shriek speed up continuing her rambles “Need more noise!” But it was never enough for Shriek.

Geri, as was usual was patrolling the packs boarders and as of late his brother had gone his separate way. He was use to always having Freki close by and originally they had taken different routes while patrolling the boards as the Reign's pack spread across a large territory however now the numbers within the Reign had recently swelled, their was plenty of potential for other wolves to be trained and trust with the responsibility of protecting the packs boarders. However something else told Geri that Freki had other things on his mind, his feud with Haemon was one of them, why couldn't he just forget about that bloody pup of theirs but something about Haemon being a shaman and a Lord, respected within the pack seemed to grate upon Freki and he sought revenge. Laying with a female whom had had dealings with Haemon was not the way to do it however, even Geri with his limited experience in politics and delicate social matters knew this.
He shoved the thoughts rudely to one side however not wanting to think upon such trivial things for too long. Other, simplistic matters concerned this primal wolf the most, the fact that his belly was less than half full and that he'd not ravaged a female for a while. His mind focused in on his hungry belly and attempting to hunt whilst also patrol the boarders, which was not easy, it limited to the grounds he could hunt within, not straying from the boundary scent markers. However his attentions were soon taken else where as a piercing cry echoed in the general quite of this part of the territory and he growled a softy and his eyes narrowed, the howl was not familiar to him and even with all the new members to the Reign Geri did not stop and give that much thought, it was not a strength of his, Freki was the tactician for Geri his motto generally was, 'actions speak louder than words.'
He lowered himself to the ground slightly, taking on a predatory stance and strode purposely toward where he presumed the howl to have come from though soon enough it wasn't a guessing game as the perpetrator of the howl was making enough noise that it sounded like a herd of bison was crashing through the forest. His emerald eyes shone and he snarled, no Reign wolf would make this much noise most had some amount of sense than to charge about declaring their present in such a manner. He picked up his pace with purpose shining in his eyes, foolish making that much noise and the unfortunate thing was it had drawn the attention of a wolf such as Geri.
