It started a few years ago when I started playing Kingdom Hearts. I was at Hollow Bastion and I went to go face Riku the second time. Now, before you face him, there is a long a** cut scene that was just the peek of the story line. Riku was so freaken hard and kept on killing me over and over again and I had to see that scene over and over again. I got so annoyed that I told my friend (I didn't have a ps2 at the time so I played it on her machine and memory card.) I never finished it nore played it until a few weeks ago, I got a ps2 and kingdom hearts from my same friend who moved to Portland Or. I was so excited that the next day, I got two memory cards and started to play. It only took my three days (or should I say nights since that was the only time I could play) to reach where I was. It only took me three battles with Riku to defeat him. I danced all around and it made me so happy! Then I had to face Ansem and that was a great boss but Riku was the shinning moment of my time playing kingdom hearst.
What's your famous boss stories?

I remember sephiroth from the same game, I could beat him easily and everyone was so amazed at it sweatdrop but the real hardest boss was probably in DBZ Budokai Tenchkai
The final boss at least story wise was a...I can't say it but it was SO annoying took over 20 tries just to win, the key was to live for about 2 minutes (you had to survive on him on many characters only then you could kill him) and he was always so fast that I could never get away. I tried everything except the "Throwing him away" literally. That tatic of course worked but barely sweatdrop and that was easy mode to

hmm, i think i would have to say that fight in MGS2 where you fight all those metal gear RAYs off with just your RPG missles

The hardest boss that ive ever faced in an RPG...Would have to be emerald weapon from FF7...Took me 2 days to come up with an unbeatable materia combo (that combo took my guys the rest of the game without death or loss of less then 1000 life).

I assume the cut scene is the little heartless gate? I agree...Riku was SO much harder than even Ansem. After the first battle with Ansem on the beach, so long as you were careful, you didn't get hit too badly. I haven't played very many games with bosses as of late...but I'll admit, I haven't tried very hard to beat the Ice Titan or Sephiroth...I usually die fairly soon. Any suggestions?

The hardest boss to date I've ever faced are the "PARENT" Boss! man they are MESSED up yo. lol
Anyways I'd have to say the Secret of mana 2 Final boss, I still have yet to this day to beat him it's such a pain. Sooo Much curses soooooo one hit kills kills lol

I think Lavos from Chrono Trigger is the hardest boss. His first few stages are a snap but when he's in his final stage he's such a b***h! stressed He always does one hit kills on my guys. They're lv 50 some too. I was so happy when I finally beat him. I did the New Game+ and I still am getting my a** kicked. gonk

Omg Abyssion from Tale of Symphonia was HARD.
You couldn't use life bottles on anyone but Raine or you would run out. ): That battle was LONG. And tedious. The guy never seemed to run out of HP.
Riku the second time was impossible! I never beat him, unfortunatley.
Odowla from Majora's Mask was also fairly impossible, he kept calling the moths on you and you'd run out of health quickly. And he took like a million hits to die. x__.
Seymour the first time is annoying as well because he keeps casting multiple blizzara and KOing two characters, so you revive them and manage to heal one, and he casts it again.
Of course, if you cast the null spells it helps alot.
And the final boss of the Omega Ruins! Wow, that guy was hard. I was suprised that I beat him in like two tries.
And the Shadow Hag from Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
For some reason, that boss gave me alot of trouble, mainly because I kept shooting the scent seeds in the wrong direction, and her shadows would always get me.

WonderNerd, I haven't fought him (being Riku of KH) in a while....but the trick was to stay up in the air as long as possible when he does his little "zoom flash of blue light multi hit" sword attack.
If you can't stay up, come down as he passes and jump up again. You might get hit, but once is better than the 6 or 7 you might be hit otherwise...and heal a LOT....

You also have to LOVE to jump at him to evade attacks and dodge roll. When he starts meteor you can do nothing but watch....and run away. Ice titan is super easy when you realise his weakness. Deflect his ice blasts with defend and when the screen flashes run and beat the snot out of him! When he recovers just keep running when ice shoots from the ground. He'll use big ice shots later but just defend or roll.

All I know is he IS stupidly strong...all those quests before trying to finish sweatdrop Son of Sun is also VERY VERY VERY annoying.

And have any of you beaten the extra bosses?
