Gonen had wondered a little bit out of his home lands today. Of course he had made sure that both his mother and sister were in good health and spirts before he wondered away. Gonen looked out at the vast desert, it really was amazing to him that so much land was out there, land that he would never see, in all fairness he didn't want to see it though he liked his home and his family.
As he made his way further from the lands he found a wonderful tree to lay under. He really hoped that he would meet someone interesting out here. He loved those in his pride but he wondered about the outside world and what it held.

Kar'mah was out patrolling. She liked to think of this area as no man's land. There was a pride nearby but they rarely came out this far. It probably wasn't worth protecting the fringes form lost passerbys and clueless wanderers.
She spotted a lion lounging in the shade and paused. Was he a wanderer like herself? It seemed odd. It might be no man's land but there were still indicators all over that she was getting close to pridal territory. What sort of brave fool would rest in a place like this?
