No one told me this was going to be easy for me, no one had even told me it was going to be this hard. I made a promise to her, I promised that I would stay by her side no matter how many obstacles we went through.

I am her brother, I am her servant, and I will do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means I must become her Servant of Evil..

Servant of Evil

Seperated, that is what we were, we were seperated at such a young age. I had been the heir to the throne, the Prince. My sister was the Princess, and she still is. But I can no longer take control of the throne, that will be my sister's job, for now, I am her servant. Why? Because of adults selfish reasons. I would love to say that I hate it, but as long as I'm with Rin, what can I hate?

~~

I looked over at Rin, a smile on my face. She was always so beautiful, nothing could make her ugly, not even anger.

Rin blinked and looked over at me, an expression much different from my own. I recognized it immediately and jumped from my seat on the chair near the window. "I'll get it now." I said before she could open her mouth to speak, but Rin raised her hand. "No, its fine. I was only going to say your hair was a mess." Rin said, then she turned back to the window to look at all of the townspeople.

She tapped her finger on the window sill, almost impatiently it seemed. "Actually, after you are done fixing your hair, may I please have some brioche while your at it." Rin said, as she smiled a bit down at the townspeople. This smile wasn't of happiness, it was more evil than anything.

I quickly nodded and did a small bow as I exited the room. First, I would take care of the brioche, because she would want it immediately, even though she had told me to fix my hair first. It was how things worked, and I didn't mind at all. I was her servant, so I had to listen to her orders.

Walking to the kitchen, I noticed a few angry townspeople near the front of the castle. I shrugged. If they didn't evacuate soon, they would either be killed or sentanced to life in the dungeon. Both of which were gruesome. "If they know what is best for them, they will leave." I muttered as I snook one more look at the people, then I entered the empty kitchen. I blinked, confused as to why the chefs all seemed to be missing.

Suddenly I found myself surrounded by all the chefs. Good thing I wasn't claustrophobic, or I would have gone mad.

All the chefs seemed to be worried about something, but that something, was not something they would tell me.

"Chefs, prepare some brioche for the princess." I said, my voice commanding and stern. At first they ignored my order, but suddenly they all turned to face me. "Now?" They asked me. I let out a sigh and nodded. "Yes, now. Why, is there a problem with that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at the chefs. They nodded slowly. "We have no ingredients for it sir." One of them said, his voice almost in-audible with all the chaos still in the kitchen.

I nodded. "Fine, I'll go fetch the ingredients, just be prepared to make it when I return." I said then I walked out the kitchen, picking up a bag near the door that would hold all of the ingrediants that the recipe would require.

Servant of Evil

I knew that Rin wouldn't be very happy about how long my leave was, but it had to be done. Her order was my command, and I had to do as told considering the fact that I was her servant.

"So..." I muttered to myself, as I looked around for the ingredients for the brioche. So far, I had no clue as to where it was, considering it was always some other butler or servant who got these things. My only job was to keep Rin happy. I sighed.

I continuted to look around, as I was pushed and shoved every which way, so I walked towards the wall of a store, keeping myself away from the large crowds.

Through the large crowds, I could see a green-haired girl. It wasn't unusual considering the fact that most every girl had green hair. But, she was more beautiful than one that I had ever seen before. I took a few steps forward, but I stopped when I saw a man in blue. I stood there frozen, he was royalty, that I knew. I had seen him many times before. He had rejected my sister's love and I would not forgive him. But, right now was not the time to deal with him. I was there for brioche, and that only.

But, wouldn't keep my eyes off the Daughter of Green. And before I knew it, she was standing in front of me, with a smile. I looked around her, but I couldn't see the Prince of Blue anywhere. "H-Hello." She told me, blush covering her face almost completely. "You walked over to me, why?" I asked, trying to hide my own blush from her with my bangs. The girl shrugged. "You caught my eye. And I must say, that is a difficult thing to do." She said, placing her lips on my cheeks. My face became more red than ever, and I looked away. "I should get going.." I started, but the girl caught my wrist just as I tried to leave. "No, please stay." She said, pulling me a little closer to her.

I looked at the girl with shock on my face. My first impulse was to run away from her, but she was too beautiful. Not as beautiful as Rin, but still beautiful. Almost beyond compare.

"My name is Miku, yours?" Miku said, breaking the awkward silence. "O-Oh, my name is Len. Nothing special. Now...can I go?" I asked, struggling to get my wrist free of her loving hold. Miku shook her head immediately. "No!" Miku yelled. "I mean...please stay with me. Kaito and I just got into a disagreement, and I would like to spend time with you instead. Please? If not, that is fine then..." Miku said, her voice making me feel bad.

I looked up at the castle, and I sighed. "Fine, I'll go with you, but only for a moment." I said, but little did I know that Rin had been watching us the whole time, jealousy boiling within her petite body. I had no idea that I would be in for a surprised either. But, who would ever think of that? No one, except for maybe a psychic and I don't see one in this story.

A smile appeared on Miku's face, and it seemed to widen with every word I said. "Yay!" Miku said, hugging my arms tightly to her body. "I'm glad you said yes...Len." Miku added, her voice, dare I say it, more beautiful than Rin's.

I looked at Miku, my face red, but I didn't bother to hide it. "So, what are we doing?" I asked, my hand folding the brioche recipe into a square so it could fit into my pocket. Miku's eyes shot towards the paper, and she grabbed it, of course with my permission...I think. "Brioche? And who is this for?" Miku asked, her eyes curious.

I cleared my throat, looking up at the castle looking through the window to see Rin playing her piano, but I was too far away to see the tears that streamed down her cheeks to the keys. I looked back at Miku. "M-My sister. She loves it, and I needed to fetch the brioche ingredients because we ran out at home." I said, hoping that Miku couldn't see through my lie, and that she didn't know that I was Rin's servant. Technically, I hadn't lied, I had only told her a little bit of the truth, rather than the whole.

"I see, well why don't we fetch the ingrediants for the brioche for our little...date." Miku said, as the word date seemed to make my heart beat faster. I had never had a date before, mostly because Rin had never allowed me to love any girl, and I had never refused. "D-Date?" I asked, stumbling over my words.

Miku nodded. "A date yes." Miku said, and before I could ask another question, Miku seemed to read my mind. "The arguement with Kaito was of our break up. Don't worry." Miku said, her smile almost literally brightening up the day even more. Miku wrapped her arms around me entirely. My face was no longer red, and this didn't affect me whatsoever. "Okay." I agreed finally, as I began to walk to the stores.

Buying the ingredients took longer than needed, mostly because Miku and I wanted to stick together til the end of the day. But, when we were done picking up the last ingrediant, we both knew we had to part. So, I looked at Miku, trying not to sound sad, and I said, "Well, I suppose this is farewell Miku." I said.

Miku nodded, her eyes filling with a few tears. "Yes, I suppose it is." Miku said as she placed her lips on mine. But, they parted sooner than I had expected. "I know who your sister is Len. So, please don't be sad if we can no longer see each other." Miku said, then she removed her arms from me, then began to walk away.

I sighed, waving goodbye to her, as she did the same to me. "Bye..." I muttered as I headed back to the castle. It was around lunch time now, and Rin would already be angry at me.

"Please don't be..." I muttered as I carried the basket of brioche towards her room, stopping by a mirror to fix my messy hair, then I entered her room, trying not to huff and puff. "Here it is." I said, placing the basket on the table.

"Kill her." Rin said, picking up a piece of the brioche, crumbling it in her hands.

"Who?" I asked, my eyes showing worry. I already knew who it was, but I just hoped that I was wrong.

"That...that green-haired girl."

I stared at Rin in shock. "There are many green-haired girls in our kingdom. You should be more specific." I said, trying to keep the sadness out of my voice. I kept hoping that my guess had been wrong, and that it wasn't Miku.

Rin stood from her chair, wiping the crumbs from her dress. She looked up at me, her face tear-streaked. I took a step close to her, but Rin backed up. "Stay away from me! I don't want to see you until she is dead! You know who I am talking about! Just do it already!" Rin yelled, tears now falling from her eyes. I had never seen her cry so much before, but then again, she had only cried 2 other times in her life. When we were seperated, and when Kaito had declined her offer to become his husband.

"Rin, can't you think this over?" I asked, my heart breaking every second of this conversation. I felt like crying, but I would do so in front of Rin. I wanted to stay strong. "I thought over this while you and...Miku...had your little...d-date...and I have decided, that there is no need for her in this world any longer. So like I said, kill her..." Rin said, her eyes penetrating through my, usually, strong shield. I chewed the bottom of my lip, nodding, then I bowed before her, looking up at her. "Yes..." I finally said, then I turned to leave the room.

I walked through the halls, feeling more sick than I ever had in my life. Not because I had to kill Miku, no, I would not think of that...not yet of course. I was thinking about how I had just fought with Rin. I had no idea that Rin would be so angry about me spending time with another girl. And the wierd thing was, that the words burned through my heart, more than any other words ever had. Not only was my heart broken, but it now had a hole burned right through it.

I looked out the window, only to notice that Miku was being captured right before my eyes. She didn't even struggle, it was almost like she had expected this to happen. I frowned. How could she stay so calm while this happened. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Kaito, looking right at me through the window. I immediately walked away from the window and headed down the the dungeon, where Miku would be soon.

I opened the door to the dungeon, the door creaking as I did. I sighed, this was the moment...the moment where my first and only love would be killed. And what made it worse, was that I would be the one to kill her. I closed my eyes as I walked down the stairs. I wasn't even worried about tripping. I had killed so many people down here, I could walk up and down the stairs without looking. It was impressive, but for all the wrong reasons. I rolled up my sleeves, opening my eyes when I reached the bottom. This would be more painful for me than Miku.

In the center of the dungeon, I would see Miku, the light shining on her from the only window in the dungeon. It was above, unlike any other in the castle. I walked over to Miku slowly, only to hear her whimper a little. "I-I'm so sorry Miku." I said, tears already forming in my eyes, after I had promised myself I wouldn't cry. "I love you." Miku said as I picked up the blade that would be used for the kill.

Miku was tied up, so there was no possible escape for her. It was bad for both of us. "I love you too...I'm so sorry...but I must do this." I said as I raised the blade above her back, and before Miku could say anything more, I stabbed her, the knife piercing right through her heart, not giving her any other chances.

I looked at the blood on my hands, the tears flowing more freely from my eyes. "Miku..." I muttered as I dropped the blade, walking over to her dead and limp body. I lifted her, and cradled her in my arms. I moved her green hair from her face, kissing her bloody lips. "...I'm so sorry..." I said, and for the rest of the night, I stayed there until the guards finally kicked me out in the morning.

Days, it had been days since I had killed Miku. And in only those few days, the news had spread far about the land, all the way to Kaito's kingdom, which was pretty far off if looked at an accurate map.

I looked over at Rin, who was looking out the window, just like she had been doing day after day ever since I had killed Miku by her order. "Rin..." I said, taking a step closer to her. I was only a few steps away from her, almost close enough to touch her hair if I wanted to.

"Len...a few days ago, you told me that everyone will try to rebel against me. If so, what will we do?" Rin asked, looking over at me with the edge of her eyes.

I cleared my throat awkwardly. I hadn't even remembered telling her so, but I should have told her my plans anyways. I was about to answer, when a noice came from downstairs.

I could hear screams, and when I looked out the window, people in red were coming from everywhere. "No..." I muttered, grabbing Rin's wrist. "We have to go Rin!" I yelled at her, dragging her out of the room, running through the halls until I got to a small room filled with her clothes, along with a few of mine that I had placed days before.

"Len! Why are we here?" Rin asked, her voice more demanding and brave, rather than scared.

"Rin, put these on." I said, handing her my clothes, trying to hide the sadness in my voice.

Rin looked at me, confused, and she shoved the clothes back at me. "I am not going to put those on...why should?" Rin crossed her arms, her stubborn side showing just so well.

I frowned at her and sighed. "You must wear it, I'm going to take your place. I fear that something bad may happen to you...and I cannot let that happen to you, my sister. And in order to protect you, you need to put my clothes on...quickly." I told her, shoving the clothes back into her arms. I tied her hair to look identical to mine, and in turn, I took out the ribbon in my own hair. I nodded at the mirror, then walked out of the room with Rin's clothes. "I'll be right back...don't leave the room."

Rin waited in the room until I came back. I looked her over. Perfect. It was a good thing that we were twins, otherwise, something bad could have really happened. I kissed her on the forehead. "Rin...I'm sorry..." I muttered, my voice cracking.

Rin looked up at me confused, tears already welling up inside her, though she didn't know why. "Why are you sorry...?"

I put my finger to her lips. "I can't tell you...you'll find out soon enough. I love you Rin..." I muttered, and turned to go, but before I could go, Rin grabbed my wrist and pulled me close. Her eyes already watered and ready for crying. She put her lips to mine.

I lightly pushed her away and looked back at the door. "I really must get going..." I muttered as I walked out the door, leaving Rin in the darkness of her dressing room.

I walked down the stairs, picking up the dress as I walked so I wouldn't trip. Already I could see angry citizens, along with Meiko. I smiled at her, a smile that only Rin and I knew the meaning to. "What is the meaning of this?" I asked, my voice calm.

Meiko frowned and only pointed her sword to my neck. "Enough talk...lets go, you have a date..." Meiko smirked at the end of her sentance. I shrugged. "As long as it has brioche...I'm fine." I told her as I giggled. It was unbelievable how easy it was to act like my sister.

Meiko vicously grabbed my wrist, and put shackles on them. "Just shut up...we have your servant as well, in case he tries anything fishy..."

I shrugged and nodded.

-The Next Day-

I looked at the large crowd of people, screaming, cheering all of this on. I frowned at all of them. The guards, those rude and tough men, shoved me onto what would be my dead. I looked among the crowd, only to see Rin crying. I smiled reassuringly at her. I mouthed an I Love You, but Rin didn't return that.

All that she said was. "You know the line..." Rin muttered as she looked away.

"Oh, its time for brioche." I grinned as death came and snatched away my life.
