This wasn't so bad. Heh. How silly! Of course it...wasn't wrong to feel this way about girls. Just because Evari was a girl? There were plenty of chicks like this! Right. Yeah! This wasn't so bad...it helped that it was summer. And girls were really nice to look at.
And they were wearing bikinis.
Evari wasn't out for that purpose today, though. Sure, she wanted to see if maybe she could possibly do a little bit more with a random girl than she had with Victoria, and sure she did find her eyes wandering as she walked through Durem...but there was plenty of time for those things. All the time in the world! Today she wanted to see Kay. He'd promised they could hang out, and they had yet to see each other since that day Tyyne barged uninvited into her life. So now instead of waiting for him she was just going to go to him. Unfortunately the only place she knew to look was the Curio shop...this was not the Curio shop. This was clearly the mall. But Evari had gotten distracted, very distracted. Now she was 'window shopping' at a store near where a gaggle of very cute girls were gathered. It was all well and dandy to watch them, in fact Evari was looking at them discreetly more than she was looking at the store, but...er...she had a problem; Evari had no ******** idea how to approach them. Damnit! She'd figure something out...oooh but that girl with the black hair looked so gorgeous, she really wanted her most out of the rest of the group. Hmmm...oh! She had an idea! Now to just...get over the sudden nervousness she was feeling. What the hell? That was strange. Though really she had no reason to go over there other than to hit on the pretty girls yet...hm.
Evari wasn't the only one eyeing up that cute gaggle of girls, especially that black haired one. The only difference was, while she admired and plotted from a distance, Kay was up close and personal. He was just inside the store, standing in line and talking to one of the blonde girls from the group. She wasn't as pretty as the black haired beauty, but she was still rather adorable! This particular gaggle of girls was much too easy to get into; all he had to do was awkwardly approach one, asking for help to get his sister a birthday gift. A couple compliments and a few flashes of that smile of his and he was in; she brought in her friends to help them, and together they were looking for a gift for a girl that did not exist. The girls outside had already paid for their items, and all Kay had to do was pay for his; it was a really cute top, one that ties back around the neck. He'd probably give it to someone else later, maybe Roxy, but for now it was for his 'sister'.
Soon enough he stepped out of the store with the other girl, standing near the other girls as though he were friends with them, thanking them for their help...and not-so-discreetly asking for their phone numbers. Which, rather surprisingly, he got from more than the blonde he was chatting to the most. He hadn't yet noticed Evari; he was too busy making friends with the short shorts, skirts and shirts...and the personalities attached to them.
Finally, she had an idea. She'd ask the brunette where she got her top and then weasel in on the rest of them. And then she'd--wait a second! Evari blinked and leaned over to watch as a dark-skinned man stole the girls she had been eyeing. Dark skin, scars, tattoos...a portion of his face was just a skull plating...no way. Evari's eyes widened and she watched as Kay went inside with the girls. That thieving b*****d! She waited impatiently for them to be done inside, waiting until he had the girl with the black hair's number before she put a hand on her hip and walked up to the group. She was having a tantrum but of the...calmest, most socially acceptable kind. When she was close enough and didn't seem to notice her she scowled and poked at his back, leaning her weight into one leg and waiting for his attention. "Kay?! Is that you?!" She pouted. "Are you cheating on me you rat?" Sure...this kind of ruined her chances with the pretty girls, but in Evari's head it was much like anything else; a stuffed toy, Xai, a candy. She'd seen them first, Kay couldn't have them. So she'd give them up for the greater good. There'd be other girls! Plus, she was actually kind of interested to see how Kay would handle being 'called out' out of the blue. Would he recognize her?
...Stupid question.
Kay looked over his shoulder when he was poked, blinking. With the way he was turned he couldn't see her clearly, but he did see her enough to notice the bright blue hair; the voice was different of course, but it was still very familiar. Besides, he only knew one girl with that colour blue hair! But heeeeey...what was she doing? A side glance at the curious, if not suspicious girls had him connect the dots. Was she...trying to ruin his chances? Pfft, he wouldn't have that! Turning around fully like he'd just realized she was there, he stared at her for a moment (giving her a good once-over), then smiled brightly.
"EVARI!" He said loudly, pulling the grumpy little thing into an innocently friendly hug. He murmured into her ear, something along the lines of having gotten their phone numbers, and that he'd do anything she wanted if she just played along this once. The hug still seemed brief, and he leaned back again, releasing her from his grasp.
"Buddy! There you are! Aww, c'mon, don't be like that...I know you wanted to help me, but I couldn't find you anywhere, so I got these girls to help me instead. Cute, isn't it? Think Roxy would like it?" He said, showing her the top the girls picked for him...hopefully calling her Buddy would ease the misunderstanding that Evari so rudely created. It seemed to be working; a few of the girls seemed appeased by this turn of events...others were not convinced. "It was very nice of them."

Ha, it really was stupid of her to think he wouldn't recognize her just because she had a new figure and nicer...assets, she still glowed red and had obnoxiously blue hair. Besides, she was too awesome to just forget like that. She gave a soft 'oof!' as she was pulled into the hug, not returning it at first until he said something in her ear about getting the girls' numbers. Yes, she knew tha--...ooooh! She smirked briefly for a moment, sighing and rolling her eyes as she was released from his grip. Would she play along? Really? Would she? It's a mystery!
For a moment it didn't look like Evari wanted to play along, after all she was still fairly bitter and honestly kind of jealous of how easily Kay had been able to get into that group and get all their numbers. She wanted to be able to do that. Hmph. Fine, fine. If he'd do anything then...fine. Though she flinched inwardly when asked if Roxy would like the top; that was twice now she'd heard of Kay and Roxy together, possessive jealousy seemed to rear its ugly head for a minute. "Mm. But next time call me if you can't find me." Evari pouted, deciding she'd play nice. It was Kay, her friend. Sure, he'd totally ruined her chances but...she'd find away to get them back later! There were always other girls, there were lots of pretty girls out there. Evari rubbed at the back of her neck, still pouting until she smiled warmly at the girls, almost apologetic. "Sorry you had to get stuck helping this guy, his sense of fashion is limited to pants and...pants. For men." Couldn't make him look perfect. Though this was coming from a girl dressed in bright colors and looking ready for a rave, Evari did see how other people liked to dress...she could help if she had to. And if she absolutely had to she supposed she could wear something...normal. Not that she'd like it in the slightest.
Hm...but now did she want to stay with these pretty girls or hang out with Kay? He was the reason she was out in the first place though she had admittedly gotten very sidetracked, but it all worked out since he wasn't even at the Curio shop! Ha! It was fate. Or something. "Hmm..I should get something for my little sister too." Evari mused with a bit of a hum, glancing at the girls and then at Kay. Girls, Kay, girls, Kay...bah. Kay. Friends took priority over random girls she spotted in the mall. "I can do that later. Wanna make it up to me with lunch, buddy?" She put a slight emphasis on 'buddy' for his benefit. See? See? Playing nice. She was being a good girl. Evari deserved a reward.

"Yes'um, I will, I promise. Sorry." He said apologetically, then watched her turn back to the girls...to state the truth? Huh. Well, at least she wasn't blowing his cover, and for that he was thankful. Kay scratched the back of his neck through his dreads, looking honestly sheepish. "Yeah yeah, I'm hopeless...but I can always admire everyone else in that respect." The last part was added as a bit of an after thought, winking at the blonde girl still fairly beside him. Despite only having one eye, it was still somehow obvious that he was winking, and not just blinking oddly.
"Lunch it is! Thank you for your help, ladies. I'll definitely be getting in contact." Smiling that big smile of his, he waved, then stuffed his hands into his cargo pant pockets, scratching at the back of his ankle with the toe of his shoes. Man he hated shoes! How people could wear them comfortably was beyond him. They were confining, and itchy, and agh. Tilting his head, he started wandering away from the gaggle of girls, who were headed to a different part of the mall.
Once out of earshot, he laughed. "Whoa, I was not expecting to see you here!" He told her happily, pausing to pull her into another tight, real hug. Apparently her attempt to sink him was forgotten for now. "You look awesome, when'd...this...happen?" He inquired, gesturing to her...rather nice person.

Evari watched him wink at the blonde girl, her smile nearly fading. It was so easy for him! Damn him, wrecking her first chance at an attempt. She waved to the girls as they walked away, keeping her smile until Kay started laughing. What was so funny? Evari blinked and stared at him, gasping as she was pulled into a real hug. These were the hugs she liked! Evari giggled and returned the hug, nuzzling her head against her friend and closing her eyes. Yay, Kay! Sure, he stole those girls from her when she clearly saw them first but eh who cared. "And I wasn't expecting to see you here. I was going to go see you at the shop! But...I, ah, got kinda distracted." Evari couldn't help but smirk for a moment, still hugging Kay tightly. Wait...she looked awesome? Well, duh! Evari grinned now and opened her eyes, letting go of Kay only enough to hold him at arm's length with her hands on his shoulders, her head tilting to the side and her brow raised. "Excuse me?" She smirked. "I've always looked awesome. Now I just have these amazing boobs." Gee, how modest. She shrugged at his question, looking honestly thoughtful for a moment. "Ummm...a few weeks? I didn't go out much at first...er...long story...but I worked things out so it's okay now~!" It was! Really! Evari was smiling again as she let go of Kay to hold out her open palm, her other hand resting on her hip.
"Before we get lunch, you said you'd do anything if I played along, right?" He damn well better hold up to that promise. Her gazed turned in the direction the girls had left for just a moment before it settled on Kay again. "I want the number of the one with the black hair, please. Since you stole them from me, you jerk." Evari actually said please! Come on, Kay. This was obviously serious if she was saying please!

Kay couldn't help but laugh. "I was going to the shop too, and...yeah." It was obvious that he'd gotten distracted as well! He pat her back when she continued to hug onto him, and tilted his head when she moved to hold him at arms length instead. Once more, she got him to laugh; but it was a short one, settling into a grin and a nod. "You do always look awesome, and yes, you do have amazing boobs." He agreed whole heartedly, feeling not an ounce of shame in looking at them. She brought them up first after all, they were fair game! "Wouldn't mind seein'em without the bikini, though." He chuckled, making it hard to tell if he was serious or not. Smooth Kay, smooth.
"Glad everything worked out?" He said with a shrug, not really in on anything that had happened. It obviously wasn't about her sister; the whole sister thing had her leaving the house, after all. The teen stared down at her when she brought up his promise; yes, he fully intended on keeping it, but...did she really want that one? That one was the whole reason he weaseled his way into that gaggle! Sighing, he reached into his pocket, bypassing certain...objects and taking the pieces of paper the girls had given him.
"Fiiine...here, 'er name's Jasmine. I think her Birthday is next weekend." He nodded, handing over the number that had 'Jasmine' written on it; luckily, it was an easy enough number to remember, he could do without the paper. "And I didn't 'steal' them, I got there first; I didn't know you swung that way, though." That kinda came off as a surprise...but it was a nice surprise? Vaguely nice anyway, since that probably meant he had no chance with her.

The patting on her back made her giggle, smirking at Kay when he agreed with her confidence about her amazing boobs. Of course they were amazing. At his suggestion about seeing them without her top she blinked and looked honestly surprised, looking down at her chest for a moment and then up at him. "Sure, if you want. Later though, I really am kinda hungry." She...really didn't see the problem here. Kay was her friend, what was wrong with him seeing her boobs? They glowed! And they were awesome! Of course she would let her friends see them if they really wanted to. And yes, she was very glad things worked out. Now she could actually enjoy herself instead of thinking she'd done a bad and terrible thing and needed to be punished like a bad girl. Bad Evari. No kissing other girls~.
The way he stared at her made her raise her brow, a look of doubt in her eyes. Was he not going to give her the number? Come on, now! He promised! When he handed her the paper her eyes widened and a huge grin spread across her lips, giggling excitedly as he explained who she was. Ooh, Jasmine. Nice! So the princess was having a birthday soon. Hmm...she'd figure something out! "Thaaaaank you~!" She chirped, tucking the paper into her bikini top with a happy hum. But he was saying he didn't steal her girls now, pouting at Kay and poking his chest. "And you did too. I saw them first, jerk...hmm~?" Swung that wa--oh! Evari laughed for a moment and smirked lazily up at Kay, stepping up close to him until she was pressed against him, walking her fingers up his chest until she reached his shoulder.
"I didn't either until I kissed Victoria. Though it does explain a looooot..." She tilted her head, reaching up to drape her arms over his shoulders. "Why? Ya sad?"

Kay did a doubletake when she agreed. R-really...? Huh, that was easier than he expected. He watched her tuck the paper away, a strange little grin on his lips as she did; that was pretty interesting, he didn't recall ever seeing that sort of thing before. Clever hiding place for small things, indeed!
"I didn't know you saw them first, that's not fair. I didn't even know you were there until you tried to sabotage me!" He stuck his tongue out at her, a tongue that retreated quickly once she leaned against him, forcing him to stare down at her in both wonder and confusion. What was she doing? ...Ah, she was teasing him. The brat. With an innocent huff, Kay wrapped his scarred arms around her, hooking his hands together and resting them on the little curve just above her skirt's hem. She wanted to play? Fine, he'll play.
"Oh, you kissed her too? I don't blame ya then...but have you ever kissed a boy, just to be sure?" He grinned slyly down at her now, his only eye arced teasingly.

"I'm amazed by that, truly I am. I'm like a damn flashlight, Kay." Evari laughed, sticking her tongue right back out at him with a 'neeeeeeeh!' sound and everything. She epitome of maturity, this girl. She seemed pleased by the return hold, playing with Kay's dreads. This was a lot different from his hairstyle before! She liked it, it seemed to suit him. She seemed to be distractedly searching for Nahual though, wanting to pet that strange feathered brat in Kay's head. She liked petting his headsnake! "Hey, I went along with it when you promised to do anything. Thank you for Jasmine's number~. If I find out you've taken her again though before I even make an attempt I may hurt you." Evari warned him cheerfully, rubbing her hands down his shoulders and arms and back up again. This was nice, she liked being held! And Kay was her friend, it's not like it meant anything. Even her few kisses with Victoria had been between friends...but the promise of more cheered her up now instead of worrying her.
"Mm, yes. It wasn't anything spectacular, though. Just a couple kisses...I kind of had a bit of an identity crisis of sorts because of it. I thought I was a bad, bad girl." Evari lifted a hand to wag her finger as if she was scolding Kay instead of herself, tracing that finger along a few of his scars after. Kissed a boy, huh? Well...no. She didn't have much interest to. Evari raised a brow, leaning more heavily into Kay. Just to be sure...hm. "Well, no. See...you're the only boy I get along with, without having to manipulate or..get creeped out. Ugh, this one kid even pretended he was part of you or some s**t like that." She shuddered at the thought of Mrrh but was quick to recover, smirking again and wrapping her arms around Kay's neck. "So, obviously I haven't kissed a boy. Are you volunteering?" Eh, why not. She was going to let him see her boobs, and she'd kissed Victoria, not like anything'd come of kissing Kay.

"My attention was obviously elsewhere, glowworm." Kay tsked affectionately, seemingly comfortable to just hold her against him for now. Nahual seemed to sense or realize that he was being looked for, and he reared himself out of the back of Kay's head, hissing in annoyance despite the red elastic around his jaws. Was he going to let this girl touch him? Hell no. Not willingly, anyway. Hissing again, he curled up tightly at the top of Kay's head, staring at her through somehow narrowed eyes. The threat got through to him, and after raising a hand in scout's honor, he went right back to holding her.
"Same, minus the identity crisis...and yanno, most guys think that's hot, not bad." He informed her matter-of factly, listening to her explain about the boys she knew; his expression dropped almost angrily when Mrrh was brought up. He didn't even have to ask who it was, he knew right away. " "Yes, yes I am. I'd be more than happy to volunteer my services for every experience you need a boy for." Kisses, lifting heavy objects...other things...Yup, anything. Suddenly, he released her, instead taking her hand and moving to the food court. "But not here, it's time for food!"

Glowworm? Hm...she liked that, actually! Evari giggled and stuck her tongue out at him until she saw something moving by his head. Oh! Nahual! There he--wh..what the hell...! She snorted suddenly, her hand flying to her mouth as she stared at the feathered snake hissing at her with that ridiculous elastic on his face. "Pfffft! Hahaha! Wha--what did you do to him!" Evari laughed, still holding Kay with one arm and keeping her other hand on her mouth. Her glow was even brightening because of her amusement. Oh man! He looked so stupid that was just great! She was still laughing when Kay informed her that kissing a girl was actually hot, shaking her head and patting his chest with the hand that had previously been on her mouth, nearly snorting again.
"I know that~. But see, at the time I thought I was being a bad girl for really liking seeing Victoria in nothin' but 'er underwear and kissin' her. She makes really fun noises when ya touch'er strings. Y'know, the ones on her back~?" Evari snerked and shook her head, sliding her hand up to cup his cheek and make comforting cooing sounds as he seemed to suddenly get upset. No, no. No getting upset on Evari's watch! She was glad to hear that Kay also hated Mrrh, she'd tell him about her meeting with him later on. For now she really wanted to enjoy her time with her friend. A part of Kay her a**.
Kay's offer seemed to catch Evari's interest, raising a brow and letting go of him as he released her to just hold his hand. "Every experience, huh? Will youuuu open the pickle jar when I'm just far too weak and fragile to do it myself~?" She simpered pitifully, looking up at Kay with pouted lips and saddened eyes. Evari then looked thoughtful and looked him up and down briefly, swinging their hands a little. "Hmmm...I wonder if we'll get that far...yer not gonna expect me to, like...be yer girlfriend're nothin', right?" Even Victoria had warned her that she wouldn't be the only person she kissed. Evari was fine with that as long as she got to keep playing with Victoria. That girl was so pretty. Evari walked with Kay to the food court, humming and looking around for whatever caught her attention first. What did she want, what did she want. Hmmm... "I waaaaaant...burgers~! Oooh and a milkshake. With fries! Lots of fries." Apparently Evari was hungry...she'd share!

"They don't make muzzles for snakes, so I improvised." Kay grinned, loving that Evari found it so amusing. However, Nahual's urge to kill was rising higher than normal. When Evari explained how far she's gotten with Victoria, Kay found himself a little jealous; all he'd done was kissed her, fully clothed, in the cab. He did get to go swimming with her though? He got to hold her in her bathing suit? It was close enough, but it just wasn't the same. So he let that part drop. The subject of Mrrh was dropped as well, and he found himself rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, because rescuing you from the horror of pickle craving is grounds to make you my girlfriend." He teased. Of course he knew what she meant, but at the same time, the way it was said, it sounded like one lead to the other. Laughing, he shook his head. "Nah, m'not lookin for a girlfriend. I just wanna have fun." He informed her, winking again despite only having one eye.
Food was ordered and paid for by Kay, and the meal itself was mostly uneventful. Just chattering back and forth, 'people watching' in it's finest form...and then, once it was over, Kay was the gentleman and put the trash where it belonged.
"Alright Glow worm, what now? Either hang out here, or go back to the shop together and hope Mrrh's there, so we can piss him off."

"Sure it is!" Evari teased, smirking up at Kay and bumping her hip against him. "Any guy who can open that dastardly thing deserves all kinds of rewards!" She was joking, only joking. When he laughed and gave her his answer she smiled, squeezing his hand and tilting her head to rest it against his shoulder. Good, she just wanted to have fun, too! Fun with her friend. Yup. They were friends, what did it matter what they did together? Not like labels were a necessity. And it wasn't as though Kay was unattractive, because he wasn't, just...not Evari's preference; she was quickly learning she liked a pretty face...and boobs. Those were awesome.
When they were finished eating she let him throw away their trash, having no problem with letting Kay be the gentleman. Less work for Evari! But Evari's 'people watching' was rather tunnel visioned, she mostly ignored the men and focused on the pretty girls that wandered around them...unless a guy just looked hilarious, then she pointed him out. But other than that she preferred something nicer to her eyes. She stood up as he spoke to her, reaching for his hand again and humming thoughtfully. Hang out here, and keep checking out pretty girls or go to the shop alone with Kay and piss off Mrrh...
...Well she did like the idea of pissing off Mrrh intentionally.
"Let's go to the shop...oh! You seen his hair lately?" No way his butchered up hair had grown back yet. Evari was grinning smugly, running her fingers through her hair and sighing. That had turned into an awful day. "Oh...but...what if he isn't there?" Evari turned her eyes up to Kay with a raised brow, already heading out of the mall with him since she'd agreed decided they were going to the shop. "We'd be all alone. And there'd be no one for us to piss off. Oh dear." She tapped at her lips with her finger, looking rather surprised by this turn of events. Oh no~! What if they were aaaall alone? Gasp!

"The shop it is, then." Kay chuckled, watching her out of the corner of his eye. He looked away in thought when she asked him about Mrrh's hair. To be honest, he hadn't seen Mrrh around at all lately, but...yeah, he remembered seeing something like that. He never really cared enough to keep better tabs on the young man. In fact, Mrrh pissed him off so badly he hoped he'd black out around him. "All short? Yeah, I did. Why?" Why Evari would talk about Mrrh's hair of all things was lost on him. Her question though, made him frin.
"That's alright, then we'll just get some practice in before next time." He grinned wide, leaning over a bit, unable to resist murmuring something about figuring out what makes her to moan. With an innocent hum, he wandered with her to the shop, opening up the front door for her.

Evari turned her eyes up to Kay when he asked why she was mentioning Mrrh and his hair, still looking very proud of herself as she reached up to twirl a lock of her own hair around a finger. "He butchered his hair because of me~." She giggled. "I guess he got jealous're somethin' when I said you took me out for ice cream once, and said he could do that too. Sooooo we were going to go but...I said ladies first. I was referring to him." Evari smirked now, leaving out quite a few unattractive details mostly involving herself. It was intentional...she knew she wasn't the most cooperative or the nicest person in the world, but it didn't mean she was going to talk about it. Especially not with one of her friends. "We had this deal. I'd let him cut my hair a little if he let me cut those stitches on his mouth. So since his hair was longer than mine it made sense he was the girl, right? So the stubborn a** chopped up his hair so he wouldn't be 'the girl' anymore. It was pretty funny!" They had kind of gotten along up until the whole thing about who would leave the shop first. Hell, if he hadn't been such a b*****d she might have considered him 'okay', even! But no, he had to go and do the things he did. He even made her cry. That jerk.
At his answer she raised a brow, tilting her head up a bit to hear what he had to say. Practice, huh? How were they go--o-oh. Evari couldn't help the blush that dusted on her cheeks and the way her glow brightened a little. Damn her body! "Confident b*****d. And just how are you goin' to do that, hm? What if someone walks in? Like yer mom." She was still blushing but trying really hard not to let his words effect her. Kay was the only guy she actually got along with, and no girl had said anything like that to her yet. She let go of his hand and walked into the shop, waiting for him just inside with a tiny hum. Wow, no one was here! No Switch, no sign of Mrrh so far...
"Huh! Looks like we are alone. Whattya know..." She clucked her tongue and put her hands on her hips, looking back at Kay over her shoulder with a little grin. She was still blushing and glowing brighter but she was trying to pretend she wasn't. "I'd say you planned this."

Kay chuckled as Evari told him the story of how Mrrh's hair got cut; he must have missed Evari's hair trim because...her hair was still quite long. So either her growth spurt made her hair grow back, or she was lying. Of course, he believed the growth spurt was at fault. Evari with short hair seemed more than adorable. He agreed with her on everything; the long hair making him a girl (despite Kay himself having rather long hair; it was dreads, it didn't count!).
He smirked confidently at her blush and the way she glowed brighter; that was a sure sign that she'd at least let him near her enough to try! He couldn't help it; she was pretty, she was willing (thus far), and to his knowledge there was nothing wrong with having friends with benefits. Besides, if she happened to also be into girls; that could end up being a lot of fun for the both of them.
"Would it be more impressive if I said I did?" Kay chuckled, letting her into the building first. He moved in shortly after she did, closing and locking the door behind him. "I knew Na wouldn't be here, but Mrrh...that's a surprise. Pity." The Shaman admitted with a sigh, reaching out to gently take one of her hands, lightly spinning her to fully face him again.
With another little hum he gently took both of her hands and lifted them, carefully drawing her closer and guiding her arms over his shoulders. He didn't know how he should proceed; with Victoria it was easy, he knew where he stood with her. But with Evari...playing careful was the plan, until she decided to change it. His hands released hers and slid down to lightly rest on her hips, his warm hands brushing his skin.
