Personality: If there’s one thing that stands out about Suzume, it’s the fact that her views of feminism are very strong. She’s rather particular about people who seem to like to pick about the fact that women or girls are apparently weaker than men. Her sense of justice can be a little overbearing at times, as she is rather easily offended and certain jokes around her may not be received well. However, one aspect of her that contrasts completely with her feminism, is the fact that she is a romantic at heart and craves a relationship, simply to be able to find a love. Usually, she can come across as being refined and oddly formal unless, of course, you have already become her friend. In that case, she can be a completely different character around her friends, as she is more open and trusting around them. It is easy to find weaknesses inside her emotional protection and she can get hurt quite easily.
Bio: “No, no, no, no! Don’t leave!”
The voice of her panicked mother was the first thing that Suzume had ever heard. A crying baby was born to a quiet family in the edge of one of the busiest cities in the world – Chicago. However, her circumstances were not exactly what one might call ordinary. Her mother’s husband had left just before her birth because of one sole fact – he wasn’t Suzume’s father. For some reason or another, her mother had taken it upon herself to fall in love with another mystery man even though she was married. Suzume was the result of that temporary affair, as the man soon vanished and when her mother found herself pregnant, there was nothing to do but have to go through with it. However, her mother’s husband soon found out and upon storming into the hospital, he told Suzume’s mother rather calmly and politely about the fact that he was, of that particular moment in time, divorcing her. Despite her mother’s protests, he left Suzume without a father. After her father left, her life wasn’t actually that bad. Although Suzume represented everything that she had lost, her mother still treated her relatively well and they were a small but content family, even if there were only two of them. That was, at least, before the car accident. The skidding of tyres on the wet road and the blinding flashing of the car headlights were the last thing she ever saw and heard of the Human World.
It didn’t take a Shinigami long to find her and perform a soul burial on her. She didn’t put too much of a fight up at all, merely shocked and stunned by the fact that, while she was still breathing and living barely a short time before, she was dead. When she reached Soul Society, she had no idea of where she was or what she was meant to be doing For a few days, Suzume was like an empty shell, unable to eat or talk properly but eventually, when she snapped out of it, she found herself easily becoming used to the daily life in Rukongai. It was only a few days later that she was adopted, into one of the lesser noble houses – the Riyu family. Her new elder sister, when she had entered, was away, studying at the Shinigami school and eventually preparations were made for her to go to the same school too. Graduating a while after Elisia, she eventually managed to pass and her next step was into the Gotei 13.
Prior to the one year skip, she has been training rather hard to hone her skills. The other part of her time has been spent alternating between talking with her own Captain about certain matters, catching up with her sister or attempting to work out Nanashi and his strange moods.

Firstly, by adding spirit particles to the blade, it begins to vibrate at a quicker pace and is given extra cutting power. The second thing that it is able to do is every time it cuts someone, it absorbs spirit particles and transfers it over to her. The enemy is left with a nasty wound, while her power is increased. She has two of these blades and with careful precision and timing, she is able to block an enemy’s attack and actually absorb some of the attack to fuel her power.

Bankai Abilities:
She is able to use a special form, in which she is given the ability to be able to turn anything into a crystalline formation. After using that, she can keep objects ‘frozen’ permanently or break them into tiny little pieces with her powers. It gives her the ability to be able to create and ride her own creations, which is made of crystallized material, such as the dragon and they can be easily manipulated. Her main weapon here is a massive trident, which she can create of hardened crystal. She can even create crystal structures from the moisture in the air.
