A darkly colored figure shook his growing mane and gnashed his teeth angrily in the air. His family was becoming increasingly irritating, and he figured he should have left long ago. His father constantly whoring around with random females, bringing home children - children! - as gifts to his mother.
But his mother had lied to him, but he couldn't hate her. She was so naive. Did her mate even love her like he say he did. The male gnashed his teeth again.
But suddenly, his heart softened. The male sighed and sat in his place, letting the sand-colored man fall across his face. The cubs, his little sister's and brother - his older sisters and brothers - they were innocent in this.
Completely innocent. He sighed again. He had a lot to think about.

Kira had taken to hoarding pebbles. Now, these weren't just any pebbles, they were WHITE pebbles, and that made them very, very special to the little leotah. They were her pride and joy, these shiny white pebbles, and she'd been collecting them for quite some time.
That was how she stumbled upon her older half-brother, Chozi. She'd been moving from pebble to pebble, carrying them around in a huge leaf she'd fashioned into a ramshackle pouch. Kira was painstakingly loading pebbles into the pouch and then grasping the leafstem with her teeth, grunting as she dragged the pouch to the next pebble she could see.
Spotting Chozi, she immediately forgot about her pebble-hunt, instead creeping up to her half-brother. He was sighing.. was he sad? She would have to find a way to cheer him up!
...she wondered if he liked PEBBLES!

The dark cheeton was so absorbed in his thoughts, whirring with all the possibilities. Should he stay for his siblings or leave because of his parents? It was a hard decision. What would make everyone happy? That was hard to do. He didn't want to sacrifice his own happiness by staying, but the what ifs coursed through his brain.
He wouldn't hear his little sister come up unless she announced her presence or he saw her. So, his mind continued to assess his situation.

Kira grunted with exertion, coming to a stop slightly behind her brother. She looked up to him, but he seemed to be thinking so deeply about something that he didn't even notice her approach.
"Chozi!" she fairly shouted, excited to show off her pebbles. She sat, tail flicking gleefully as she waited for him to notice her. A huge smile parted her lips, ears perked forward expectantly. What was he thinking about? She wanted to know.

Chozi held back the urge to squeak girlishly when he heard his name. He did, however, jump a bit in surprise. "Kira," he said in response, with a smile. He adored all of his siblings - except Kitisho, that is - and held the deepest fondness for his siblings.
"What brings you," he poked her gently, "Out here?" He guestured to the sky while looking up, before turning the blue-grey gaze back to his little sister.

Kira smiled happily at her brother. He was so nice to her, and Kira loved nice siblings. There were some that didn't seem to be as nice as others, but mama Nafsi did well in keeping those in check.
"Finding pebbles!" she squealed proudly, showing Chozi her collection. "I've got so many of them, this leaf is starting to get heavy!"
"What are you doing out here, brother?"

Chozi gave a small girlish laugh, more of a giggle then anything else. When you spent more than half your life female, things tended to stick to you, but Chozi found himself not minding much.
"I can see that. You have a very beautiful collection of pebbles there. Perhaps we can find something more solid then a leaf for your collections soon, yeah?" He gave a fond smile at his little sister. She was so young and innocent, he couldn't help but just adore her.
"Oh, just a bit of thinking. Nothing to worry your pretty little head over, Little one," he said with a smile, previous thoughts fleeing from his mind.

Kira nodded, eyes brightening at the idea of something better to keep her pebbles in. "I'm glad you like my pebbles, brother." She purred and reached forth to pat him with a dainty paw.
Being around her brother made her happy. He looked so much like papa that sometimes she could forget how much it hurt her that papa never stayed home for long. She didn't want to think about that now. She'd had enough of talking about papa with mama Nafsi, and Chozi still looked a bit troubled.
"I like thinking," she said brightly, watching him carefully with vivid orange eyes. "What were you thinking about, brother?"

The older hybrid gave a small chuckle, especially when she patted him. She was so tiny, he marveled with wonder. He briefly wondered if he was ever that tiny, it seemed so long ago. He had many great adventures when he was younger, and he thanked the gods that he didn't die on one of them.
"Mama and Dad mostly," Chozi said with a small smile, hoping she would let it drop. He thought of depressing things and didn't want to make his little sister sad, especially when she was so cheery. It made him sad that his little sister would have to feel the pain of not having a father around often like he had.
But at least he had his mother. These young ones, his mother wasn't there mother. It wasn't the same, but he knew his mother cared for all of his father's cubs deeply.
