~Alexi "Azami" Silver~

Age: 19-21-ish

Race: Gaia-Native Human

Gender: Female

Height: 5'4"

Weight: ~100 lbs

Orientation: Straight
PostPosted: Tue Jul 06, 2010 3:55 pm

~Personality~

Pretty much your average girl, except that she's not your average girl. Relatively normal looking on the outside, Alexi's personality is very wild and unpredictable, especially with friends or people she's comfortable around. Alexi is quite hyperactive and optimistic, and loves chocolate. She is fiercely individualistic, often associated with being a "hippie", although she isn't one.

When in battle, she becomes very serious-minded. Alexi is very loyal to family, friends and comrades and will protect/help them by any means necessary. Depending on the situation, she can be your greatest ally or your worst enemy. It's similar to a personality change, because one minute she could be all hyper and crazy, and the next she could be dark and fierce. She is oftentimes called "azami", meaning "thistle", because of this.

Alexi loves surprising the heck out of people. She also loves to cook (although the only decent things she can make are pasta, chocolate-covered rice krispies and anything that comes in a box) and has a definite love for music.

Influences:

Alexi "Azami" Silver was influenced by several things. A little known fact; Around the time she was being thought up I was studying the Russian Revolution in the English/History class I was taking at the time. As a result, she is actually named after the last Russian Tsar's son, Alexei. As you can tell, I changed the spelling. In fact, the way Alexi's name is spelled is how I thought the name was actually spelled. "Azami", which translates to "Thistle", comes from the title of one of my favorite Vocaloid songs, sung by Kaito. It describes a part of her personality that is directly based off of a part of my own. Silver comes from one of my favorite colors and one of my favorite manga characters. You'll see why when you read the article. ^-^

~Talents and Levels of Expertise~

Levels of Expertise:

~Adept Spellcaster
~Adept Musician
~Adept Fighter/Combat
~Adept Seamstress/Tailor
~Beginner Cook

Talents:

Perilous Assault: The ultimate melee skill. This ability allows Alexi to attack in virtually any way in order to take down an enemy. This skill is used with her trident and sometimes she adds in her spellcasting abilities to make the attack more powerful. When using this attack in any way, Alexi’s reflexes and speed increase drastically, giving her ninja-like capabilities, enabling her to attack in such manners. Because attacking like this involves quite acrobatic and potentially violent techniques (such as charging at the opponent from the front and attacking with her trident, and immediately after pole vaulting in the air using her trident to swing over or around the enemy and attack from the back and/or sides), dodging this attack very difficult, but possible, although by a small margin (such as a bad roll or if the opponent has excellent reflexes.) However, when Alexi combines this skill with her spellcasting abilities, dodging is nearly impossible (because she is attacking with her trident, her physical and her spellcasting abilities, and from potentially multiple angles all at once.) When this ability is not being used for combat, it makes things such as dancing very interesting. XD

Light From Beyond: A more powerful version of Alexi’s original skill, Light, and her ultimate spellcasting ability. This skill enables her to use light in various ways, such as throwing balls of light, making fireworks which explode and rain down, spinning light around and closing in on an enemy, etc. She can also use this skill passively, which can add life to any party or situation.

~Weapons~

~Trident (can shrink to pocket-size, returned to normal size by shaking wink )
~Her body (but not in that way. Seriously, a kick from her or getting smacked by her arm is not a pleasant experience. Just ask some of the SINners she took down during the war.)

~From the previous RP, Alexi knows how to "shake it till it's full-sized!" This hasn't changed. XD
~She can play four musical instruments: the violin, piano, guitar, and drums.
~During the war, Alexi was kidnapped by two SINners and managed to escape after they left her to her own devices one night. She doesn't like to talk about her time in captivity.

ATE:

Alexi can play the violin, guitar, piano, and drums, and was previously in a band. She is wanderlust stricken. Up until recently, Alexi had a most unusual friend: a talking potted plant named Total. They met during the war between B.O.O. and S.I.N.

After the explosion, Alexi discovered that her hair was charred, leading her to a beauty salon in a nearby city. Alexi's real hair is dark in color, but she has worn a short pink wig all this time to cover it up. In a similar fashion, she wore silver contact lenses to hide her true eye color, which is purple. She did this to disguise herself from two SINners who captured her back during the war. She dislikes talking about her time in captivity.

Her first crush was a boy named Marshall, who was in the band she was previously in back in Durem. She did not know it at the time, but he liked her back, even going so far as to make her the silver cape she wore some time ago (and still has) and buy her an expensive violin (the one she currently totes). She received these gifts after meeting his mother at the boutique where she bought her new clothes. Marshall went M.I.A. after he left two years ago to travel around.

Alexi loves food and believes one of the ways to stop violence is to offer the people involved a good meal. She has never seen an octopus.

One day, while she was talking to Xeiashi, Total disappeared. She went out to find him but to her dismay did not. She instead stumbled upon a strange item: a flower, grown by Total himself, along with a note saying that he had planned to give it to her so she could wear it at the ball.

As she was getting ready for the ball, Alexi revealed a knack for sewing. She hates strapless dresses and has at least ten sweet teeth. She met Sven at the ball and after dancing with him it appears her feelings are wavering....or maybe not. He kind of weirded her out by nuzzling her arm, resulting in her almost hitting him, a reflex she gained during the war. However, this may change now that he's landed a kiss on her cheek.

~Personality~

Sven is a carefree young man full of life. At times very hyper, he is one of the many people in the Order who could easily be the life of the party. He enjoys being outside and prefers sunny days over rainy ones. He will protect anyone and anything that he cares about and is very loyal to his comrades. Sven hates fire and warfare, the latter because he believes it to be senseless and irrational. He has an uncanny ability to commune with plants.

Sven's appearance has changed quite a lot. His eyes have changed color multiple times, but have finally settled on a green color and haven't changed since. Since he was originally a plant with two spirits living inside him, he has both of those spirits' abilities in addition to his own. As of right now, only one of these abilities exists, but there are sure to be more as he continues to grow.

(Oh, the amount of plant puns I can do with him are plentiful...Poor Sven. XD)

I wanted to keep his name along the Russian theme I had for Alexi's to establish the fact that they're a pair. His last name was randomly picked. There really were no influences for Sven's appearance. I completely made his design up randomly and off the top of my head. ^-^

~Talents and Levels of Expertise~

Levels of Expertise:

~Adept Spellcaster
~Adept Fighter/Combat
~Adept Musician (specializes in drumming, time-keeping, etc.)
~Adept Plant Communicator
~Adept Dancer

Talents:

Plant Telepathy: This ability allows Sven to communicate with plants, whether for combat or other use. For combat, he can use plants to hit an enemy, dodge an opponent’s attack, etc. For more passive things (or just in normal situations), he can use plants to do things like lift himself and/or others to see from a higher point of view, among others. He is also able to heal himself and others using plants, as well healing the plants themselves, although this part of the ability is still difficult to use and understand. Sven can also learn about surroundings based on what the plants tell him. This varies from nature-like things (plants neglected, drought, etc.) to whether people have been by or not, enabling him to become somewhat of a detective. Sven is also able to use plants to do little things, similar to Forte’s skill Trivial Magic.

Mr. Saxobeat (yes, after the song =P): Basically a skill and reflex amplifier. Sven uses whatever’s available, be it plants (which would then involve his Plant Telepathy skill), sticks, actual drumsticks, buckets, actual drums, the ground, etc. to basically drum out a beat. Doing this helps allies execute their attacks and movements as well as dodge attacks more smoothly, turning a battle into a sort of dance, and thus helping allies increase their capabilities. This ability is also capable of being used on himself. The drawback to this skill is Sven’s offensive capabilities decrease, but this doesn’t mean he can’t defend himself. Once this skill is activated, +2 on all ally rolls until the battle is over or until Sven stops it.

~Other Things to Know/Keep in Mind~

~Sven's abilities with plants stem from the fact that, at one point, he actually was one. (And yes, there was a pun in the previous statement.)
~His favorite song is "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins. The reason for this is unknown.
~Sven has outgrown his attraction to his derriere (or so it seems.)
~Alexi likes to tease him by calling him "The Plant Whisperer" and his response is usually to chase her around in a circle for about five minutes.

~Revealed through RP~

ATE:

Back when Sven was still Total, his first meeting with Alexi was when she saved him from a forest fire. He claims that the only good thing that came out of said event was Alexi. After she asked him his name, he saw an empty box of Total cereal laying on the ground and took the name from that. He couldn't remember what happened before the moment Alexi rescued him. It's like that was the beginning of his existence.

Sven (as Total) was known on several occasions to mention that he has fallen in love with Alexi, but only in his thoughts. According to a fateful encounter with a fortune teller, Madame Foster, he had two spirits living in him; one of a plant and one of a human. However, the two spirits were combined in a mysterious process by the fortune teller and as a result Total became human. He also publicly told Madame Foster that he was in love with Alexi. Total was even planning to give her a flower for the ball that he grew back when he was a plant. He apparently can write, although his handwriting is terrible.

Because he had become human, he was not completely used to his body. He had an attraction to his, um...derriere, and on occasion liked to squeeze it. Upon meeting Alexi at the ball, he changed his name to Sven to temporarily hide his identity from her, with the intention of telling her at a later time. He knows to dance the waltz, but how he learned is unknown.

Sven has quite an appetite, having eaten a ton of cupcakes in one sitting at the ball. He desperately tried to convey his affections towards Alexi without being too forward or having to admit the truth. After a seemingly awkward moment, he managed to plant a kiss on her (lol puns)...

~Backstory~

An intertwining story of love and loss

Pre ATE:

Alexi was an orphan from age five onward. She doesn’t completely remember her parents, but she knows that she once lived somewhere in Gaia with a lot of snow. Ever since then, she would constantly travel about, perhaps the seeds of her wanderlust beginning. She traveled all around Gaia and eventually settled on the Isle de Gambino. She made her home in a tiny shack on one of the many illustrious beaches, and even after that she continued to travel. As she traveled, she picked up musical skills and even joined a band in Durem. It is here that she met her first love, the drummer Marshall, who had invited her to join the band in the first place. The two’s feelings for one another were mutual, but they never revealed them to one another. One day, Alexi left to travel again, and on her way to Aekea she heard of the war between B.O.O. and S.I.N. beginning to brew. She decided to head back to the Isle de Gambino to see if her “home” was okay, but upon returning found it destroyed. Angry, she vowed to avenge the only place she had really called home, and set out to finding the people who destroyed it. Along the way she was kidnapped by two SINners and held captive for an unknown period of time. While she was in captivity, she learned that a small troupe of SINners had wrecked a few places on the beaches of the Isle, one of them being Alexi’s house. Her decision made, Alexi escaped from their clutches and joined B.O.O., fighting in the war alongside some of the best warriors around. She herself wasn’t the greatest, but she was occasionally on the front lines of her battalion. Sometime during the war, a fire started by the fighting affected a small potted plant that screamed out for help. Alexi saved the plant and found that he could walk and talk. He called himself Total, and the two stuck together like glue.

Total’s beginning is a bit more shrouded in mystery. He had no memory of the moments before he noticed the fire. After Alexi saved him, she asked him his name, and he happened to notice an empty box of Total cereal lying on the ground. He took his name from that, intending it to be a joke, but Alexi took it and ran with it, so his name was Total. He disliked Alexi’s wanderlust because he could never keep up with her. Despite this, he took a liking to her, so he decided to stay by her side.

ATE:

After the war was over, Alexi and Total found the Temple. Their entrance was very quiet and the two pretty much went unnoticed for a long time.
In an explosion that wrecked the Temple, Alexi’s hair became heavily charred, forcing her to go into the city with Total and get a makeover. Her hair wasn’t really pink but a dark shade, and very long too. Not only that, but she had been wearing silver eye contacts the whole time as well, hiding her true eye color: purple. She had done this during the war to prevent her kidnappers from finding her and kidnapping her again. In all that time, Alexi had forgotten what her hair originally looked like, and since she didn’t like the idea of having long hair, had it cut short.

As he watched Alexi’s transformation, Total’s feelings began to change, slowly but surely. He found her really pretty, but he couldn’t understand why. After Alexi was done at the Salon, the two found their way to a boutique run by none other than Marshall’s mother. After a quick chat, the woman revealed that Marshall had gone on a journey, and she hadn’t heard from him in a long time. She also helped Alexi pick out some nice clothes and gave her gifts from Marshall himself—a violin and bow, and a cape of silver leaves, made by the boy himself. The woman told Alexi that Marshall cared for her very much. With this in mind, Alexi took the gifts graciously and she and Total headed back to the remains of the Temple.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

A few days later, a ball was announced and many of the residents of the Temple were going to be in attendance. Going back into the city, Alexi bought a dress and a wig for the event. When they returned to the Temple, they ran into Xeiashi and the irrepressible Zain, both of whom Alexi quickly befriended. Total’s feelings, however, were not the same; one of Xeiashi’s robots attacked him, and he was forced to defend himself, revealing the beginnings of an unusual power: the ability to manipulate plants. When Alexi inadvertently revealed the secret of how they met to Xeiashi, he ran away angrily, leaving Alexi behind. While he was away, he ran into Madame Foster, a fortune teller whose powers clearly went beyond fortune-telling. Through a discussion with her, Total revealed his confusions over his origins and his love for Alexi. The woman offers to help him, telling the little plant that he had two spirits living inside him: a plant spirit and a human spirit. She noted that they were combining, but offered to speed up the process, warning Total that once the process was done it couldn’t be undone. Total agreed, and through a strange event that revealed some memories—memories of a plant being uprooted, the potential revelation that he knew Alexi in a past life, among others—Total made it through the process and became…human. Before sending him off, Madame Foster explained the situation and gave him some clothes to wear to the ball. Excitedly, Total left and headed back to the Temple. Meanwhile, Alexi discovered in the forest a flower and a note from Total, telling her that he found he was growing a flower, and decided to give it to her for the ball. However, instead of consoling her, this made her worry about her friend even more.

The night of the ball approached, and as Alexi was getting ready for the ball, so too was Total, recently turned human. The two then headed to the event and met later in the evening, falling instantly in love with one another. Total asked Alexi to dance—or rather, just swept her into a waltz—both parties not realizing he could even dance the waltz. Alexi asked him his name, and similar to the way they first met, Total looked around and saw a box underneath a table. The letters on it were obscured by a tablecloth, but it read “S ven.” So he answered “Sven”, and the name stuck. Afterward, the two headed to the dessert bar where they chowed down on sweets and enjoyed the rest of the night. Total, now called Sven, even managed to give Alexi a kiss on the cheek.

After the ball, the two’s relationship began to grow. They became closer and closer, and one day, while they were walking through the forest, Alexi even felt comfortable with telling him about Total and how he’d disappeared. She was worried and thought he was dead, but he assured her not to worry.
Sven had planned on telling Alexi the truth later on, but that wouldn’t have to wait much longer, because at that moment a familiar voice was heard. It was Madame Foster, who recognized Sven as Total and asked him how he was doing. This sparked some curiosity in Alexi, and the truth was revealed to her: that Sven was actually Total, the little talking plant who had two spirits living in him. Sven told Alexi that he had planned to tell her, but she didn’t believe him. Hearing the racket, a woman came out of Madame Foster’s nearby traveling wagon. The woman, named Adelle, turned out to be none other than Marshall’s mother! Realizing that everyone was incredibly confused, Madame Foster began to explain. When she first met Total, she could automatically tell there were two spirits living inside him. The human spirit was the one she recognized instantly: it was that of her nephew, Marshall O’Malley. The same Marshall that was Adelle’s son, the same Marshall that invited Alexi to join the band in Durem, the same Marshall that Alexi had fallen in love with. She explained that she had no idea how Marshall’s spirit had gotten inside the plant, but she wanted to help him become human again, since she could sense that his spirit was stronger than the plant’s. Madame Foster also explained that Marshall’s family, the O’Malleys, is a smaller part of what was once a famous clan of mages long ago. They warred with another clan of mages, destroying them utterly—but not completely—in an ancient battle. Because of this, the family had magic in their blood, which explained why Marshall’s spirit was very strong. Adelle didn’t want to have magic, so she gave up her powers hoping it wouldn’t pass on to her children. Despite this, Marshall inherited the power, although it was in a heavily dormant state. The elder (Adelle’s grandfather, and Marshall’s great-grandfather) had once said that the boy’s power could only be awakened by a tragedy, and that tragedy had happened.

At that moment, Sven remembered everything. He, as Marshall, had been traveling to catch up with Alexi when a man robed in black and red and struck him down. He woke up in the sky, separated from his body…he wandered around aimlessly, trying to figure out what had happened, why he had died, and even where Alexi was. For how long he did this he couldn’t remember, but one day he noticed a fire encircling a small potted plant, and as he approached, a force sucked him in. He tried to resist but couldn’t, and as such he was sucked into the small plant, and subsequently, saved by Alexi. The reason for the plant’s spirit sucking him in was because of its wish to live, which directly answered his own. With everything coming together, the mystery of Sven’s identity began to take shape. Not a dry eye in the place, Adelle recognized Sven as her son and told him he had a place in her home no matter what.

But Sven wasn’t the only one who had a revelation that day. Alexi remembered a war in a snow-covered landscape, members of one of the warring clans falling down, and the victorious clan leaving happily. But this war wasn’t ancient; it was a more recent one, one that she had actually witnessed. Her parents died that day, leaving her alone to fend for herself, but not before casting a spell to seal the terrible memories away. The clan of mages that had killed her parents were members of the O’Malleys. The Silvers and the O’Malleys were the Capulets and the Montagues of that snow-covered land. Madame Foster noted that the people that had restarted the war some years ago were extremists within the O’Malleys, and were no longer allowed to roam freely. On a sadder note, Alexi was the last of the Silvers and had been for a long time, although she hadn’t known. The war had since ceased, much to Alexi and Sven’s relief.

Sven then went to Alexi and apologized for everything, telling her he really truly loved her and didn’t want to hurt her, but she told him it wasn’t necessary and hugged him, not letting go for a very, very long time.

The Second War:

Since the revelation of his true identity, Sven began to notice changes in himself. For one, his originally red eyes began to change to a lighter blue color, and back again. His skin also darkened slightly, changing from an almost crystalline color to a more normal peach tone. He disregarded these changes as side-effects of his transformation. Another more prominent change was the development of his powers. Sven found that he could manipulate plants better than he could before; he could control it now instead of just relying on the luck of the draw. He also found that he had regained his drumming skills from ages ago. One thing he couldn’t place was the fact that he could waltz. Marshall couldn’t waltz, and the plant certainly couldn’t either. It was yet another mystery about himself that he would have to solve.

Alexi also underwent some changes. She found that she was questioning her feelings for Sven; did she love him because Marshall was part of him, or because of another reason? The girl couldn’t yet answer that question. In addition, her powers had also changed. She had gotten better at combat; her physical and spellcasting abilities were sharper and more powerful. But these abilities would be put to the test more than ever when the Second War reared its ugly head.

At the start, Alexi and Sven were fighting alongside everyone else, but then an explosion separated them. The two kept trying to find one another, but something always kept getting in the way…

Thankfully when the Guardian arrived, Sven was able to locate Alexi and the two managed to get to safety.

The Mirror World Incident:

For some reason, Alexi had begun to get these really bad headaches, something she thought resulted from the explosion. Sometimes they were so bad they lasted for days. Sven would constantly worry about her and as such rarely left her side. One day, Alexi disappeared when he was away. Frantic, Sven watched as other members of the Order were sucked into a world that mirrored their own. The boy, realizing that these events were the Underwatcher’s doing, and that Alexi might be one of the victims, jumped into a portal and is cast into the Mirror World.

Meanwhile, Alexi’s headaches had slowly been drawing her into the Mirror World, and one day she drifted into a sleep and didn’t wake up. When she did, she was in the company of a young girl with snow-white hair and pink eyes. The girl revealed herself to be Ixela (pronounced Izh (like I’sh)-eh-luh), Alexi’s Mirror World counterpart. However, she was terribly shy and could not wield her own powers. Alexi found that although she wanted to use her powers, she couldn’t and was completely powerless. The two girls were attacked, but fled quickly out of danger.

Sven’s entrance into the Mirror World was much more chaotic. There were people fighting and bloody battles all around. He found he was able to help and even save some people. The one thing he couldn’t do was find Alexi, but this wasn’t because he couldn’t use his developing powers. When he did finally find Alexi, the girl explained that she couldn’t function normally. Confused, Sven said that he could, and Ixela explained that Sven was fully functional because he was alone in this world. Elaborating further, Ixela said since Sven was two spirits combined into one person, he was not able to have an opposite. The trio was then attacked again, but Ixela made out a figure in the dark, and the three were able to get away once again.

After much more confrontation, Sven finally said that they would eventually have to fight the creature that was chasing them. Unfortunately for them, Sven’s abilities were limited and Alexi was completely powerless, leaving the shy Ixela to be their main fighter. Of course, the girl was shocked to hear this, but with a bit of encouragement and guidance, Ixela was able to use her powers and knock down their enemy, revealing his identity. The man turned out to be a former high-ranking SINner named Rellon. When the man realized they didn’t know who he was, he became incredibly sad.

The trio could feel that his aura was overwhelming. After some brief conversation, Rellon began to explain a few things. He said that Alexi should know who he is, because he was the one that ordered her kidnapping. This infuriates Alexi, who attempts to charge at him, only to be held back by Sven and Ixela. Rellon goes even further, saying that one day after he ordered Alexi’s kidnapping, he decided to give her a look-see to determine whether she would make a good apprentice for him. While she was sleeping, he examined her but wasn’t pleased, so he went out to find himself an apprentice. He found a promising one, but before he could influence the boy, his spirit overwhelmed him, and as a result Rellon was catapulted to the Mirror World, rendering him unable to fight in the First War.

Approaching the trio, Rellon apologized and said that since he revealed his secrets, he would have to kill them. The trio would hear none of this and readied themselves for battle. But what Rellon did next would change everything.

“Oh, right, I’ve left out one crucial detail,” he said. “Silly me, how could I forget! This is something you might want to know, Alexi…the boy that I deemed worthy of my apprenticeship was Marshall O’Malley. But he was stronger than me…just being in his presence I could feel my very soul being sent away. But before this happened…I killed him.”

Alexi stood firmly still for three seconds. Exactly three seconds. Then, carrying her trident, she flew at him like a bat out of hell, looking to kill. She felt her weapon hit, felt it connect with a body…but then an energy flow dispersed, sending the trio flying backward and creating a portal nearby. It began to pull Sven and Alexi toward it. Ixela grabbed Alexi’s hand and Sven grabbed Alexi’s leg, the trio holding on for dear life. Realizing that she should have been completely powerless, Alexi wondered how she was able to move normally. Ixela told her that it was because at the same time she moved, Ixela herself moved with her. The two had struck Rellon at the exact same time; however it was Ixela that delivered the killing blow and Alexi that had inadvertently created the explosion. Alexi wondered how she would ever thank her, but Ixela said it didn’t matter, because she’d already given her so much. Alexi then told Ixela to let them go. At first Ixela said she wouldn’t for fear that they would get hurt or sent somewhere further into the Mirror World, but Alexi told her this was a risk they would have to take. Using her free hand, Alexi swept her hat off her head and put it on Ixela’s head, telling her not to forget her. Ixela told her she never would, and then let go. Sven pulled Alexi to him and the two were sent catapulting far away…

Post-Mirror World:

Alexi and Sven landed in a small field outside of Barton Town and were taken in by a young medic. When they awoke, they were able to meet her. The medic looked a lot like Ixela, but couldn’t be her because she was much older. The medic told them that they would be there for quite a while, as their injuries would take a long time to heal. Alexi and Sven weren’t originally thrilled with this idea, but then as it sunk in they realized that this might not be all bad.

While they recovered from their injuries, Alexi and Sven would talk day and night, telling hilarious stories from their past together as well as stories from when they were separated during the War and the Mirror World incident. Once they were able to walk around again, they would practice battling against one another, strengthening their skills even further. Sven even began to teach Alexi how to waltz, opening up the question of how he learned again.
One day when Madame Foster and Adelle paid them a visit, Sven asked Madame Foster the question, and she explained that it might not come from anything. His ability to waltz may not be anything related to Marshall’s or the plant’s abilities, but from one of his own. One of Sven’s. Alexi and Sven continued to recover and get stronger until the day they could finally return to the Temple…

Making their way back from Barton Town to the Isle de Gambino on foot is not an easy journey, especially for two people who recently recovered from heavy injuries, but that doesn’t mean anything for Alexi and Sven! The two have gotten brand new looks, gone to hell and back and transcended the boundaries of life and death and are both still standing. Who knows what awaits them this time around? We’ll have to see once they set foot in the newly-redesigned Temple…
