Basic Information

The weapon is essentially a Remington 700 refitted to fire a standard European 7.92mm x 57mm round. While usually difficult to refit a new round to a rifle, or in this case an older round to a newer rifle, the Remington 700 is specifically designed to be capable of having various barrel lengths and calibers, and preforms under numerous various conditions. It is simply a standard bolt action rifle, with an internal magazine, a match barrel, and bolt design to fit snugly in the chamber of the weapon.

The barrel is a match fit, 24 inch heavy 1:240mm (1:9.45 inch) twist barrel, designed to fire incendiary, armor piercing, and regular rounds. The rounds of course, are boat tail and finely crafted, designed to be extremely accurate and carry a large amount of energy at farther ranges, having a high ballistic coefficient and great terminal ballistics. While all the rounds do not necessarily preform the same, they can all be fired from the same rifle with relatively little problem, and while a slight decrease in accuracy is present when the correct sniper ammunition is not used, it is no more than the standard deviation present in match grade ammunition and standard factory ammunition.
