Tulip busied herself trying to walk around the massive tree she called home on her two legs. She had lived all her life as a quadruped, only to be recently changed into a biped, and not by evolution... or at least any evolution she'd heard of. The Bulbasaur girl kept both hands on the trunk of the tree, steadying herself as she took each measured step.
The forest itself was vast enough that many trainers didn't venture this far into it, something Tulip always loved. It's not that she liked seclusion, she was just taught that humans couldn't be trusted. This recent development of her changing, however left her with hundreds of questions and no one to answer them. As far as she knew, she was the only Pokemon that's ever gone through this.
Deciding to take a break from her training, she plopped down on the ground. She tucked her legs under her and smoothed out her dress. For such a humany thing it really was rather pretty.
She looked around, the forest was oddly quiet today.

Run!
RUN!
Risty raced through the bushes, trying her best to avoid the meowth that was chasing her. IT had thought she would be a good lunch meal, and she resented the very idea of being made into a snack! Breathing heavily, she realized she was in a deeper part of the woods than she usually went - deeper than she'd ever been, in fact, and yet the Meowth was still chasing her!
Glancing behind her as she ran, Risty couldn't see ahead of her and ran straight into a tree, flopping over. . . against a leg?!? What in the world?!?

Tulip jumped as a purple blur being chased by a cream blur burst through the surrounding brush. She'd been daydreaming, so the sudden noise and commotion had startled her.
She heard a thud, then she felt something fuzzy fall against her leg. Looking down, she saw that the purple blur had been a little Rattata. And the cream blur? She looked around and spotted a Meowth stalking the Rattata from a short distance away.
Tulip, a vegetarian herself, wanted to see no harm come to the little mouse Pokemon. Scooping up the little creature in her arms, she growled at the Meowth. "Go 'way!"
Two vines snaked out from under the bulb on her back. They waved in the air, warning the Meowth not to come any closer.

Risty squeaked in terror, first at the sight of the Meowth pausing, its eyes going wide before it darted off into the bushes again, and then at the shock of being held in what seemed to be a human's arms. "W-what?!? What's going on - lemmee go!" she yelped, but too tired at the moment to really fight the grip around her - besides, if this were a human, and it didn't smell very much like one, it had the vegetable scent of a plant pokemon in there too, weird - it couldn't understand her anyway.

Tulip frowned at the little Pokemon. "I'm sorry, I didn' mean to frighten you." She placed Risty gently on the ground by her, her vines retracting back into her bulb. "It jus' looked like you needed help."
She felt very awkward about the whole situation. She was certain that the little Rattata would run away from her like most Pokemon did now.

Risty nearly scampered away the moment she was placed back on the ground, but something held her attention. Approaching the.... person-pokemon thing... she sniffed at her cautiously, recognizing the definite scent of Bulbasaur in there. Sitting down, she peered up at the much-taller being and twitched her nose and ears thoughtfully. "What are you?" she asked, more curious than scared now. Had the humans done something weird to mess with pokemon even more? Or was something else going on?

Tulip showed the hurt on her face, "I-I don' really know anymore." Her eyes glistened a little from tears. "I used to be a Bulbasaur, now I dunno what I am!" The little Bulbasaur girl broke down into sobbing.

"No no no no no! Don't cry! Don't cry!" Risty yelped, nearly falling over backwards as she flailed desperately, wanting the Bulbasaur girl to stop crying. "Stop crying, please? I didn't mean to be mean! I didn't, I didn't! I just wanted to know!" the rattata squeaked. She hadn't meant to upset the other being!

"It's... o-okay..." Tulip managed between sobs. "I.. know... you... didn't... mean to." She sniffled, wiping her eyes and trying to stop them from flowing. "So... why're way out... here anyway?" She hoped a change of subject would help her calm down.

"Hiding," Risty admitted. "Trainers just won't leave me aone," the Rattata said with a frustrated tailswish. Peeking up at the human-ish Bulbasaur, she sniffed her lightly and then climbed up to her shoulder, licking the teal humanoid on the cheek. "Don't cry; I'll stay with you for a while if you want; that way I don't have to be near trainers and you're not alone, okay? And I can always come back even if I visit other places!"

"Al-alright," she sniffled, agreeing to the terms and clearing her cheeks from the last of her tears.
"Trainers don't come out this far. At least I've never seen one out this far before. That's one of the reasons I like it out here." She wobblily stood, bracing herself against the tree. This two-leg thing was not treating her very well yet.
Gingerly, she chose her steps, leaning heavily on the giant tree for support. "The flowers here are gorgeous." Her mood finally brightening, she wanted to show Ritsy her favorite thing. "My name's Tulip, by the way," she smiled.
