Today was the day. It was finally Monday and now Musubi was on his way to the chosen meeting place where he would bring his father Gennosuke to meet with his desired mate Sho, and that said kuniku's father Masao. Musubi had been so nervous to remind Gennosuke the morning before that his legs were shaking, but then he'd felt like an idiot when he'd been told that his father would meet him at the koi pond instead of going there with him at the same time. It was going to drive him crazy at this rate, that things weren't going as smoothly as he'd initially planned. With heart hammering in his chest at a thousand beats a minute Musubi rounded a corner, his head lowered and tail trailing behind him as he moved with the flow of the crowded streets of Maizoukin. He didn't have to use much thought to know where he was going; his feet would take him there even though he wasn't paying too much attention to his surroundings. Why couldn't things just have been more simple? If only Sho had been born inside the city... or maybe he should have been raised to be allowed to associate with the 'wild' kuniku instead. Musubi emitted a sigh, pretty bummed at how the day was starting. It couldn't possibly get any worse, could it..? He shook his head, trying to calm himself down. If he kept up those kind of thoughts, then things definitely wouldn't get any better.
Attempting to lift his own spirits Musubi stopped walking and thoroughly shook his fur. His posture straightened and he quickened his pace, hoping that at least if he moved more quickly he could probably get to Sho before Gennosuke and could maybe get a pep talk or something to help ease his mind from just how serious this proposal business was. Musubi forced a smile onto his face as he trotted down a street, making a few more turns around some shop stalls. His purple eyes searched for landmarks on the map in his mind, and Musubi knew he was almost there when the smell of pickled plums caught his nose. 'I'll be there soon, Sho.' He thought to himself as he crossed the dirt path that would take him to the koi pond.
For now, things seemed to be going well. From his current line of sight, there was no sign of Gennosuke, and inwardly he was happy to know that he'd at least beaten his father to the destination. As Musubi passed through the small gate that heralded his arrival, he realized that something was amiss... His eyes widened in pure shock. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Where was Sho?! He wasn't here, and neither was the Masao that he'd been so excited to meet! "He's totally late!"
