This is where you can post books that you recommend or just like in general. I just started my research so I only can contribute Kara's book. "Exploring Wicca" by Lady Sabrina.

I agree that almost all of Scott Cunningham's books are good. I think that I may just have about three of his, I'm not sure anymore.
I recommend "The Wiccaning" by Sister Moon.
 "Wicca Craft" by Gerina Dunwich
 "Wiccan Magick" by Raven Grimassi

Use them all and you can get some really good stuff out of them.

the two that I suggested to Beowulf were Cunningham's Wicca: Guide for the Solitary Practitioner for people that are just starting out on their path, and then Living Wicca......I agree, Cunningham's books are some of the best books there is on whatever subject they're about.....and all of the other sites and groups I've found over the years have always suggested The Guide for beginners.....and have spoken very highly of his books.......

			            Yeah! Thanks Kara.
I have heard of The Complete Craft by DJ Conway, but i didnt want to buy it not knowing if it was good. It can be a little on the pricy side (especially when you are a college student annd you know the price of books). So if you would recomend it, i will have to go get it now...I really need a couple good books. Most of the ones i have ended up being very poor in detail or even false in some cases...Thanks for the suggestions though everyone. smile

Pretty much anything my SilverRaven Wolf is good....She wrote 'The Guide to Wicca' and some other informational stuff. There's also a book called 'the Teenage Book of Spells' by some lady who's name starts with a J (Vague much? I'm doing this at 10 pm my time!) They're both good...and books on the 7 Great Clans can be helpful!
Lastly, even though this is fiction, the 'WICCA' series by Cate Tiernan is VERY very informational! I gives background info. about covens and herbs and has a few spells sprinkeld here and there! Enjoy!

OMG! They finally have it! The Complee Idiots Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft!!! I recomend if you are new to the religion and are seeking more information. I will be buying it as soon as it comes into my bookstore. The Complete Idiots Guides are very good, and honestly, much easier to understand than the Dummies guides. I only had a chance to briefly look at some of it, but it is very good. Here is a citation from the introduction: Quote: "Witches practice magick, and they also practice Wicca--an Earth-based religion that honors a deity that is divided into male and female spirituality known as the God and Goddes, and that gives reverence to the Earth. Throughout history, witches have faced persecution because of misconceptions about them and their practices..."

yes they do...it is amazing how well done some of them are as well...I was not much into the idea of getting any of the series because it covered so much, i didnt think they would do super well in each one speciifically. Suprised me when i needed to get some basic training in improv...lol
