In other news, we also have the Blu-Ray recuts of OVAs I-V on their way out in Japan.

Here's a few screenshot comparisons between the original version of OVA I and the BluRay version:

I can't get over how much better the Blu-Ray recuts look. While many of the recuts are superficial, some of them have actually changed the entire tone of the scene. For instance, when Anderson appears in the original version of OVA I, Alucard seems somewhat worried. In the recut version, Alucard is wearing his trademark grin, implying that he is excited. That's more like the Alucard we all know and love.

Hellsing fans, I have some good news and I have some bad news. The bad news is that OVA I-V Blu-Ray box set was delayed to September 30, and then to October 22. The good news is that Hirano himself designed all new, awesome cover art for it.

Here it is:

It will also include a 24-page color booklet, new audio commentary for OVA I featuring Norio Wakamoto (Anderson) and Jouji Nakata (Alucard), new audio commentary for OVA IV featuring a surprise guest, and a special "Nazi CD". Nobody really knows what the "Nazi CD" is, so don't ask.

The Limited Edition Hellsing OVA I-V Blu-Ray Box Set is officially available until January 2011, so get it while you can. In other news:

AnimeNewsNetwork
Geneon Entertainment's Rondo Robe label has revamped its official website for the Hellsing Ultimate original video anime project with the announcement that the third and final season will be animated by the studios Graphinica and Kelmadick. Q-Tec established Graphinica last year after acquiring the digital video division of the anime studio GONZO. That digital video division was responsible for the computer animation work in Blue Submarine No. 6, Yukikaze, and other titles that helped establish GONZO's brand. Kelmadick has worked for years as a subcontracting anime studio on such titles as Bleach, Zoids Genesis, and Hellsing Ultimate itself.

The third and final Hellsing Ultimate season will consist of volumes VIII through X. The first five volumes just shipped in a limited-pressing Blu-ray Disc box on Friday. Satelight and MADHOUSE had previously animated Hellsing Ultimate, and GONZO animated the 2001-2002 Hellsing television anime series. Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. once distributed both Hellsing anime projects, but FUNimation Entertainment is now distributing them.

So it ends where it began: with studio GONZO. lol

That's actually old news, but yeah. FUNimation picked up a lot of Geneon's titles when Geneon USA went under.
