Character Name: Liyar

History: Liyar's parents died when she was very young, both from an illness that she nearly succumbed to as well. Her aunt, having no children of her own, agreed to care for Liyar, and raise her as her own. For many years, Liyar didn't know that her aunt Kalama was anything more then her mother. One day, however, Kalama reviled the truth, knowing it better to come from her own lips then someone elses'. Liyar has never particularly forgiven her aunt for keeping this a secret, and the issue has become a sore one. There relationship became strained, and Liyar shys away from spending time with Kalama any longer.
Despite this shock, to anyone but Kalama, Liyar doesn't acknowledge the truth. As far as she's concerned, everyone else believes Kalama is her mother. Unsure of how to deal with this sudden revelation, Liyar felt betrayed and uncomfortable with her aunt, and her own feelings, Liyar retreats inside her own mind frequently. Even very small problems, she will not seek help, finding that she dosen't trust anyone to get a job done right save for herself.
Regaurdless, Liyar returned to her life, keeping her now (as she sees it) shattered life a secret. She made friends, almost all boys,finding that she identifies with them,and grew with them into a boyish girl. Liyar distanced herself from almost every female in her life, finding that this gender she felt she simply couldn't trust at all. Slowly, her friendships drifted apart as Liyar and her friends matured. Becoming a teen, she blossomed into a beautiful, yet unconventional female and her male-friends noticed. Some attempted to become physical, and Liyar was not interested. Steadily, she began to realize she simply wasn't attracted to the men around her in sexual ways, and more and more drifted off on her own to avoid the amorous attention some of her former friends would lavish on her.
As her social life dwnidled, Liyar's craft skills blossomed. She rose in duties fairly fast, and now works to train runnerbeasts. She prefers this over mucking stables, but Liyar's ability and drive would have her doing literally anything productive!

So when a searchrider found Liyar, who was just coming in from searching for a run-away runnerbeast, she was noticed, first for her tenacity at all. Wary of dragons, as they frightened the runnerbeasts, Liyar wasn't sure if perhaps she aught to stay home. Yet, the idea of running away, leaving the emotional stress of her home life behind was to great, and she decided to take the offer, giving little thought to it and a very short goodbye.

Description: Liyar is about 5'5'', short but not to short. Her body is a bit on the masculine side, starting with the lack of developed breasts, and a firm rear. She has been called "athletic" or "boyish" in this regards. Her skin is tan from working, and marred by small scars from past adventures. (Bovine tipping!) She has hazel yellow-green eyes, semi-dark lip, and auburn colored hair, fairing on the light side of the spectrum. Her face is angular, but not unattractively so, only distinct, with thin lips and large eyes and raised eyebrows.
Personality: Liyar found that her new opportunity to stay in the Wyer would allow her to change herself, maybe make herself into a much more aggressive or assertive person. So, she adopted a new personality- a front of sorts, to hide her emotional pain of her family life. Liyar's front is is mostly a cocky, silly tomboy. She likes to play with the men, feeling more at home with them as friends, and awkward with the females around her. Most females were feminen, and with Liyars' boyish attitude, she can't seem to find any common ground with females. She is always up for a dare, and is sometime described as bull-headed or stubborn for her risky behavior. When pressured, Liyar isn't one to think things through or look at the consequences before she jumps into something. She's the type that if her Wyermates were going to go do something dangerous for fun, she'd be the first to agree to it.She'd prefer to play with the boys for sure!
Liyar is highly motivated and task driven because if left to her own devices, Liyar will think more about her family, and that if she returns to her Hold, there was nothing to go back to besides lies. She will sometimes seek to isolate herself, or take her frustrations out on others. Thusly, she seeks work and distraction to keep her racing mind occupied, and because of this she is prone to becoming a workaholic, having something to do all the time would suit her best and keep her mind on the future.
Other: Likes: Work, animals, slaughtering animals for eating.
Dislikes: children, waste, hot water, and mushrooms.
Fears: being kicked in the face by a runnerbeast, tunnelsnakes, and going between. (She won't tell anyone the last one.)

I meant that SHE was searching for a run away runnerbeast, not the searchrider, so I cleaned that up a bit. I ditched the bi-polarism, and tried to smooth her out to be a more multi-faceted woman.
