{{This scene occurs after the scene with Aurora, Nik and Ever in the Room. Since it's my bday today, I wanted to have a scene with Ares and Ever today but not mess up the current story. So, this happens later that day when Ever is taking a nap! biggrin }}
Ever was so happy to have discovered what she had with Aurora. If Aurora hadn't come in that day in the Room to help her, she never would have discovered any of that! They made a great team. Now, if Akira could just get a handle on her powers, something Ever herself could completely understand the struggle with, then they'd be an unstoppable team, all of them together!
She laid down on her bed in the late afternoon for a nap. Raven was sleeping in her dollhouse nearby.

Ares sensed Evermore fall into her dreamworld and he stopped pacing boredly around his chambers at Unwelcome Boulder to sit upon his bed in a meditative position. He closed his eyes and found her, sifting himself into her dream as easily as the times before.
"...Hey." It seemed that 'Hey' would become his customary greeting for a while. At least until they had things sorted out, that is; for him, if not for her, it still felt a little awkward. He wasn't sure where they sat anymore--friends? lovers?--and it confused and frustrated him to no end. That was a feeling he didn't really appreciate, to say the least.

Ever was at the dream scene she had normally, the one she and Ares had talked in previously. She was sitting on the rock by the stream, the mountains in the background and the trees rustling softly.
When she heard a 'hey', though, she was so shocked to have someone unexpectedly in her dreams other than her that she cried out in shock and fell backward into the stream.

"Stupid!" Ares yelled, running up and pulling Evermore out of the stream. He glared lightly at her. "Stupid," he repeated, before blatantly changing the subject. "Dunno why you'd dream about such a boring place. What's the fun in sitting around in a mountain or wherever the hell we are now?"

Ever spluttered for a few moments as Ares helped her out and then glared at him with her hands on her hips and her wet hair dripping down her sides.
"Are you calling me stupid, Ares?! You better not be! You're the one who came into my tranquil area unannounced and scared me half to death! That's right. It's tranquil! Not boring. A Fury needs a place to relax!"

"What the hell!?" Ares protested. "I said 'hey,' isn't that an announcement? Would you prefer a trumpet quartet or a march or something else just as ridiculous? It's not like I can exactly knock, you know." He glared right back, ignoring the water and how it ran down in rivulets; he was being influenced by his own semivulnerable state, by even allowing himself into her dream.

Ever sighed, trying to calm herself down. Her yelling at Ares never ended well. "No, but I would have appreciated a telepathic message to let me know you were coming before I took a nap. I mean..."
A blush began to fill her cheeks. "Sometimes, dreams are private and you don't want others seeing them..."
She then looked at Ares in confusion. "Wait. Why are you here, Ares? Not that I'm complaining, but I am confused."

"Pfft," Ares scoffed at her, crossing his arms. "Right, fanfare it is. As for why I'm here..." He spread his arms shrugging. "Why not? Don't have anything better to do than annoy the crap outta you, so here I am."

Ever couldn't stop a soft smirk from appearing at the corner of her mouth. She couldn't help it, even though she tried hard! She even looked off to the side at the stream to hopefully hide it. But the last thing Ares said made her smile.
"Well, I don't know, but you'd think a God of War would have something better to do than bug me, a simple Fury."

Ares rolled his eyes, flopping down backwards to lie on the (boring, predictable) grass, staring at the (equally boring, equally predictable) sky. "Do you even know how many gods of war exist? I'm not exactly one-of-a-kind, Pep. There really isn't all that much for me to do right now. Greece is pretty boring as of late, and the war here is at a momentary stalemate. I think Set's* planning something, though..."
((*Set as in the Egyptian god of chaos. I'd imagine him to be a neutral factor who's very entertained by everything.))

Ever smirked and crossed her arms loosely over her chest. She went and stood right beside Ares and looked down at him. "Well, what is going on with you? Is the 'original' Ares actually saying that he's not original after all? That he's not the main God of War that all the history and mythology books talk about?"

Ares rolled his eyes and snorted. "Yeah, well, just because I'm the most famous one doesn't mean I do all the work. That's not how the world works; I mostly do my own work in Greece's struggles and only really get involved in other wars when they're big. Like, for example, the World Wars and this war and the war from five years ago and all that wonderful s**t."

Ever rolled her own eyes and went to go sit on the rock again. She leaned her hands back on the rock and leaned backward to soak up the dream sun's rays.
"I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I think I miss the gloating Ares. This one that plays down his conquests and his importance is really dull and frankly not that attractive."
Yeah, she was goading him, but she was also speaking the truth. What had happened to him in the entire day that he had been gone?
She then started thinking about something and she smirked.
"Well aren't I just a fool? The real Ares wouldn't talk like this. You're probably a figment of my dream world. Though, why I would dream you up like this is completely beyond me."

Ares rolled his eyes again. "I'm not falling for that one. I'm complaining right now. 'Sides, it hard to brag when someone else is doing it all for you. It always comes out just wrong." He stuck out his tongue, making a face.
