What’s more to say of rats, they crawl, they eat, they breed, and they sleep and get into almost everything, but what’s more they are masters of the food court. This is so much so that they are no longer seen as food, but rather the finders of food. The most common of the subtypes they are social beyond grouping in mass and guarding in full. There is many different types of rats, for different purposes.
Rats often live in huge colony's with hundreds in population, A few larger are controlled by groups rather then a single member, rat colony's are often seen as a dictatorship how ever there are many that aren't.

The Rats relationship with almost every other Reject has greatly improved after humans appeared. some of the rats have been praying on the other rejects fear of human saying things like how bad the humans are and that its unsafe to look for food with the humans around. this is just lies to sell the rats ability to find food. this has helped reduce the number of rats and mice being eaten. Rats relationship with humans changes from rat to rat, some are interested in the humans others are led by the lies and fear them.

In an area not to far from the crystal lake the air grows calming almost peaceful if you will. Farms litter the land, the tenders rats of all colors and forms.
Collectors bring this food back almost in a train, following this leads you to a small hill guarded by several rats decked in armor and even other small rodents.
This is the land of Rose thorp, but not only does the colony stretch to the ground but to the trees, several rats can be seen talking to the ringtails, gathering sticks and nuts.
Traveling under the hill you find to your shock a full city, to even think it was built by rats is shocking. The streets line with rats and other rodents which hurry on there daily chores.
