((RP for Sinon, Beegees, Cancer and Lt. Bakerite)) The air was crisp, cool and the fat round moon-not quite full, but pregnant with its cycle- had an odd redish tint about it's frame, occassionally obscured but thick clouds rolling past at a speed that suggested wind altitude at a height. It was breezy in the streets of Destiny city, but not so breezy to need a coat. The sky had a crimson hue to it, as though someone very large had spread a few drops of blood across the palette of night. Shadows danced across the pavement, skirting down deserted alleys, leaving nothing but a whisper of ribbons and glitter dust behind them. The shadows were small, not adults by any right, yet. But one does not rely on age to be a warrior. They were fighters in a war that raged across the surface of Destiny city, leaving casualties enough that they would no longer venture out alone. These two were on a mission. A third girl had asked them for help retrieving what amounted to these warriors as her weapon- she had left it at the bus-stop by the school. Or that was their guess. Dark blue eyes caught sight of movement in the nearby alley and Cancer touched Sailor Beegees' shoulder, nodding in the alley direction. They moved silently, Cancer was not one for talk, and these days, one did not yell out into the night of Destiny City... lest something yell back. Even senshi had to use discretion. After a moment the movement in the alley revealled itself to be a stray dog, and tension eased from both the girls. They continued on-- Beegees' leading the way.

Sailor Beegees didn't like being quiet. It felt unnatural. It felt wrong. But, just for a moment when the other soldier indicated that there was something hidden in the shadows, the silence felt safe.
When the lurker revealed itself to be a dog, Beegees almost laughed in relief. Perhaps this Sailor Cancer is just overly cautious. No matter, the silence wouldn't be able to last much longer anyway.
After a few more steps, Beegees whispered back, "I'm going to make some noise. If you want to stay back a bit to keep an eye on things, that might be good."
Her pale, boyishly short hair was almost colorless in the moonlight as she prepared her magic.
"Beegees Search, FIND!"
Beegees closed her eyes as a couple seconds of disco beat washed through the vicinity. She studied the echos carefully. Finding something as small as a pen would take some focus. She needed to ignore all of the larger shapes around. People, cats, trees...
"This way."
She motioned in the direction her power indicated. It wasn't precise. She'd have to try again once they were closer. But that was just the way her power worked.

The noise was hard for Cancer to stand, her nerves rattled but she nodded quietly. This power that Beegees' had was very useful.
The other girl led on and the silence enveloped them like a safe net. As long as things stayed quiet they could be confident that nothing was following them. The sounds of their footsteps were muffled, distinctive, easy to focus on. Cancer's feet, light on the gravel, made very little noise, she tip-toed over cracks and broken glass like she was skimming across a stage.
Destiny city was always too quiet, like this, at night. These days at least. A few months ago, Cancer wouldn't have hessitated to loudly screech through the night, proclaiming her location to the nearest ne'er doer--- except now there were too many ne'er doers and not enough Cancer's. Discretion had been advised.
Abeline wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, but she was in the box. Sometimes.

A loud crash echoed from around the area the two were heading towards, followed by the sound of more crashes and a hollow thunk. "Oh, goddamnit," a feminine voice snarled, sounding obviously in pain, "not again!"
Sounded like whoever it was kept running into things-but why would anyone be out this late?

Sailor Beegees visibly jumped in surprise. She almost screamed.
"Who is that? Who's there?"
Attempting to regain composure, she set her feet into a more balanced stance and raised her fists threateningly. She hoped the voice in the shadows was not an enemy, or at least a drug dealer. Drug dealers were easier to take down than the Negaverse, in Beegees's opinion.
"Step into the light!"

And a tall girl with long dirty-blond hair and brown eyes limped into the light, wincing and holding her scraped elbow. "Not again," Bakerite complained, grabbing the wall and pushing herself upright to a standing position. "There are far too many trashcans and metal poles everywhere." She brushed a stray hair behind her ears. "Names?"
There was something about the flat look of Bakerite's face. She didn't look particularly dangerous (not in a long-sleeved black tee and fresh-looking black jeans with forest-green embroidering; and definitely not the forest-green headband), but...why did she want to know their names? And upon encountering a Senshi, most people would at least have some expression...but Bakerite appeared to think of meeting them as routine.

Cancer drew herself up, eyes focusing on the strange hobo-girl they'd just encountered. Oh yes, she was going there...
"In case you can't tell, little hobo-girl, we're not scavenging for scraps."
The words were out of her mouth before her brain could even think 'ahh, poor homeless people, should I offer her some money to go sleep somewhere safe?' Because Abeline was a good person.
Just not verbally.
The sharp quiet of the night made her words harsher in contrast, as though the night itself was offering no softer, gentler condolences.

Beegees faltered at the demand for names.
"Excuse me?"
Her tone didn't make it clear whether she didn't hear Bakerite correctly or she took offense. Beegees wasn't quite sure, herself.
But then Cancer spoke and an amused smirk found its way to Beegees's face. Sure, she felt ashamed for being amused at her current partner's callousness. But the comment struck her as funny.

Bakerite sighed. "That's obvious. And just one more thing, Senshi?"
She held out her hand, summoning the stapler, and hefted it. "I'm not a hobo, I am much more." And the girl flung her weapon at Beegees, as hard as she could, hoping for a nice bone-breaking hit so that she could steal the starseed in the dying moments of Sailor Beegees. Fighting was so inconvenient, especially when you had a double patrol to contend with; it was simply faster to injure someone and steal the starseed.
