She smiled, her body prancing as she maneuvered around. She had never been around these parts of the land, and it was indeed a change.
She sniffed the air, knowing she wasnt alone but still.. she wanted to make sure that she wouldnt be too far from safety. She had wandered into the plains, and the trees were tall and large.
She hadnt expected to ever meet anyone out here, though it was cute seeing the little families of herd animals prancing around. Sure they looked at her, making sure that she wouldnt be going
after their young. But she had no interest in eating them, not today. With a full belly she knew that she would be satisfied for a long time..Or at least itll tomorrow morning.

Though something caught her nose and she perked. What..was that smell? She had never smelled anything like it!

The leopard hung herself from the tree, her belly resting on the thick branch able to support her weight. Huyana loved the trees.
She felt safe..happy.. and blissfully content. She was a solitary girl, though she could be openly friendly. She was strange in her own right..
But she supposed to came from being a leopard. Her brown eyes glittered as one flicked open, and she caught sight of the painted female.

"You far from home?" She asked from the tree, her tail flicking back and forth.

She blinked, eyes going wide. She turned her head side to side, looking for the voice. Looking up from the ground, she spotted the large cat hanging in the tree.
She smiled, and cocked her head.
"You seem to look content." She smiled and sat, so it would be easier to crane her neck up. She saw the leopard had no intention of moving from the tree, and she
didnt feel like standing and looking like an idiot.

"What are you?" She asked, knowing full well she was a cat.. but she had never seen a cat that could climb trees.. Not and rest in them as if they were a cozy den.

Huyana grinned, and smiled like a cheshire cat. She had known many animals to be asking what she was, not that she was sure why. She wasnt anymore an unusual animal than they..
But she assumed it was likely because not many knew the species. She was a solitary being, and she liked being that way. She chuckled, and nodded.

"Yes I am quite content, though you didnt answer my question." The leopard purred.

"But I am a leopard, silly. What else could I possibly be?" SHe looked the lioness over, and wondered if she was one of the smarter of the bunch. She didnt seem like it, but
Huyana wasnt one to judge.

"Im called Huyana."

Huyana.. What a pretty name that was, and Kiira'Lani smiled and nodded.
"I suppose I didnt. No im not far from home.. I dont have a home. But Im in a new area so its kind of a new thrill."
She mused, a purr emitting from her throat.

"Thats a pretty name. Whats it mean?" She asked, curious. She hoped hse wasnt bothering the leopard. It didnt seem like she wanted to be talked to, as she still spoke with
one eye closed as if she was being disturbed from a nice nap.

"Im called Kiira'Lani."

She purred, and kept her eyes trained on the female, though one remained closed. She wasnt interested in long conversation. It was a hot day, and she had no interest
in wasting needlessly the energy she had built up over the day.
"Dewdrops." She replied in one word, and yawned. She looked at the female once more, and smiled. She was sweet at least.. That was a good thing.

"Does yours have a meaning?" Did she care? She wasnt sure but why not ask. She didnt mind making a quick friend or two.

She giggled and shook her head. She wasnt sure, she should have asked mother that before mother passed.. Though she realized that didnt make much sense.
How could she possibly have known mother would get so sick?
"No, Im not sure. I dont think so." She shook her head, and looked back up at the female. She let her tail trail side to side in the grasses and realized how hot of a day it truly was.
She would likely need to find a water source here soon. She may not be hungry, but she was thirsty. She was always thirsty though, she could drink all day.

"Do..you know of any water aruond here?" She asked. Sure the lands would hold some kind of bountiful stream of some sort. The lands were beautiful, and she knew that she could find something..
But she would prefer to ask than smell it out.

She stretched out her body, letting her side rest on the branch as she looked down now with two eyes, though they were trained on teh female quite lazily. She paused and thought. Should she tell about the
water? What if telling everyone took the water all away! But then she knew how stupid that sounded and nodded.
"Yes, There is water around. Silly." She shook her head, and used a single paw as she let it rise and point to the left.

"You'll find it not far from this tree, if you just go that way." She answered, and she could even see the water from the tree.

Kiira beamed and smiled brightly. "Thank you! Oh thank you you were such a help Huyana. Did you want to come get a drink with me?"
She asked, figuring it wouldnt hurt. Though she knew the other would not accept..Not now anyway. She was much too tired it seemed.

"It would help with the heat ya know. And who knows! Maybe we could become friends or something."
She nodded, and stood, looking in the direction of the water, and beginning to move towards it though very slowly.

She shook her head, closing her eyes again and laying back on her belly, and letting her paws hang once more.

"No, I dont think I shall. Im comfortable, and the day isnt so miserable when youre in the shade, dear. But it was a pleasure to have met you.."

And with that she yawned once more, and closed her eyes.
