Alex's house is very simple, with just enough room for two to live comfortably. It has a total of 7 rooms: the bedroom, the master bathroom linked to it, both upstairs. Across the hall is the guest room. Downstairs, there is the living room, kitchen, and guest bathroom. Alex also keeps his basement very clean, and warm, as he likes to use it as a 'rec room' of sorts...

Alex walks into his house, starting the list of rules, "First, no shoes past this point." he points down at the mat inside the door, removing his boots. He moves aside to let Shar in.

Alex finally lets a small smile onto his face, picking up the boy's shoes and setting them next to his own just inside the door, "Do you know anything about cooking?" he asks, shutting the door. He motions for Shar to join him on the leather couch.

Alex nods, "Okay, I can probably get some simple cookbooks. I hate cooking, unless you couldn't guess." he jokes, wrinkling his nose at the thought. In complete truth, he doesn't just dislike cooking - he's really bad at it. He's also tired of living off of microwave meals, "Another thing - and I don't do this often - but, sorry for what happened back at the market. I don't mind, er, hugging, or anything. I just act like that in public." he ruffles Shar's hair.

"Hm, yeah, that's fine." he says, "I'll probably end up doing it a few times anyway, but I'll try to keep it in mind." Alex stands up and stretches, "Well, I'll let you use any of the cooking stuff in the kitchen, as long as you know how to use it. I'm trusting you with this, though, and I expect you to not touch anything you don't know how to use." he pauses for a moment, "And I want to supervise when you use the stove, oven, or knives. After all, you're pretty young." he didn't want the kid to hurt himself, afterall.

He walked down the hall, past the kitchen, and pointed to the two doors, "The one on the left will be your room for now. The one on the right is the bathroom. You can take a bath or shower each night." he yawns loudly, "Ugh. I'll be going to bed here, shortly. There's towels and stuff in the closet inside the bathroom. Help yourself."

(( as for me, I'm actually going to bed, haha. ))

Alex's alarm clock blares, and its owner's snoring is interrupted by a startled jump, "Who's wha', where?!" Alex stops for a moment to try and figure out what the noise is, then groans when his alarm clock starts to give him a headache. He reaches over to shut it off, and flops back into the pillows. Why did he set that thing, again? It was something important...

Oh. Right. He was still teaching his slave. He heaves himself off of the bed with a sigh, and stumbles over to the bathroom for his morning shower.

"Bum bum, bee-dum, bum bum, bee-dum, bum" Alex hums a tune to himself as he steps out of the shower, drying his hair a little with a towel. Letting the black-and-green streaks fall against his back, he slips on a pair of black jeans and a net shirt. Heading downstairs, he hears Shar's shower running, 'Huh, I guess he prefers morning showers, too.' he shrugs, and heads into the kitchen to get breakfast ready. He may be horrible at cooking, but he's proud of the fact that he can make fairly good toast. Just don't ask him to make eggs.

(( it's okay. I won't be on at all tomorrow, 'cause my family is going out of town for an early 4th of July parade. ))

Alex stops what he's doing at the toaster and watches the boy get eggs out of the fridge, "Hey, kid....Shar" he says, gesturing to the bread in his hand, "How many you want?"

"Yeah, sure." Alex puts two slices into the toaster and kneels down to dig in the drawer under the stove. He sets the pan on the stovetop and turns the appliance on before getting two plates from the cabinet, "I think we got orange juice, milk, and water." he says.
