"Got any fours?"
"Go fish."
The two twins were sitting on the ground, a rock table between them. This was it. The final hand of their high-stakes...go fish game? Apparently so, since each of them had a stack of tens and fives beside them, adding another bill each round.
Usually, Aaron would be cooking and Darcy would be looking devious. But, to be frank honest, they were tired of being so sophisticated and adultish. So here they were, gambling via Go Fish. Their next game laid unopen on the ground by the mouth of the cave; Uno.
"Shouldn't we be watching out Julie?" Darcy asked, drawing from the card pile yet again. She peeked up over her cards, eyes glancing outward to scan for their upcoming visitor.
"We'll see her when she arrives. Don't worry." Aaron said, smiling. The smile morphed into a cunning smirk, eyes locked on his sister. "Got any twos?"
"Goddamit, Aaron! You freaking card shark! Ugh!" Aaron just snickered as a five was thrown at him.

Eventually there was a small knock at the cave entrance. Julie looked a little different from last time they'd seen her, long purple hair hanging to her shoulders and a plain light green dress on. The only indicator that she was at all magical was the birdlike feet she had, wrapped in neat ribbony sandals. Well, that and the necklace and bracelet of small glowing white lights.
"Excuse me? Someone wanted me to visit?" she called, walking in to look down at the pair before smiling. "Ooh! You have Go Fish and Uno! I love those!"

Aaron looked up, smiling. "Julie!" he greeted, waving the girl over. "Glad you could make it!" He beamed at the child, glancing at his hand before looking back up at her. "Care to join us?" he offered, motioning to an empty table side.
"Don't listen to him. He cheats." Darcy said, sticking her tongue out at her brother. "He'll rob you blind." She grumbled as she was was forced to draw another card. "So, how have you been? Things going well?"
"I do not cheat. You just suck at cards." Aaron chimed, grinning.

"Nah, I didn't bring any money with me." the girl said, taking the offered seat by them just to watch. "So what did you guys need to see me about?"
The game was interesting to watch, especially since Darcy was losing so badly. This could go any number of ways and most of them were probably not good.

"We wanted to talk to you about you." Darcy said, examining her hand of cards before looking over to the girl. "How have you been, how's life, anything interesting or odd happen. Anything else about you or your experiences you want to bring up. That kind of stuff. Got any aces?" Green eyes averted away from Julie, looking to her brother.
"Go fish." Aaron said, grinning. "Yeah, we just wanna check up on you to make sure everything's okay. If you've got any questions you want to ask, you can go ahead and ask. We'll do our best to answer. Got any threes?"
Darcy cursed under her breath as she threw the card at her brother.

The purple haired girl blinked, "How have I been? Well, fine I guess. Pogo and I have been looking through fashion magazines lately and I was thinking of dragging Imani to get our hair done and get some new clothes." her answers were idle and given like a true little girl with her mind on clothes and hair.
"Uhhhhh yeah sure, I've got a question." Julie said after a moment, totally not using her position to see the pairs cards and surreptitiously tapping Darcy's leg with fingers held in a position to let the older girl know what card to ask for. Nope, she was totally not helping one of her creators cheat at cards. "Are my powers going to get any better?"

Darcy smiled, quickly catching on to what the younger girl was doing. "Oh, they'll probably grow and change as you get older. Only time can tell, though. We'll have to wait and see." She answered before smirking at her brother. "Have any threes?" she asked, chuckling.
If Aaron noticed anything off, he didn't say anything about it as he handed over the card. "Your powers may also get better with practice. I hear that magic tends to grow stronger and more potent the more you use it." he pointed out, offering a smile in her direction. "Have any kings?"
"Go fish."

Julie nodded, well that all made sense, right? She used her powers pretty frequently, though mostly for minor things. Fashion accessories - no one else could wear a proper light up bracelet after all! - or doing a quick electric test on one of her siblings' inventions to make sure it worked before they tried plugging it in anywhere serious.
"I've mostly been using it for silly stuff though. Does that count any?" not that her power NEEDED to be bigger, it was just something to ask about. Once moer she was quietly tapping Darcy to help out, having decided the other female needed it more. Hey, helping her win one round after so many Aaron won? That was okay, right?

"Of course that counts. Any usage counts, since it gives you experience with your ability." Aaron said, looking over to Julie and offering a smile. He noticed the movement, but if he'd made the connection to what it meant, he hadn't said anything.
"Using it on silly stuff is probably safer than trying to attempt larger feats." Darcy pointed out, nodding at the tapping. "Though, slowly working your way up to larger tasks may be a good idea if you want to challenge yourself. Got and sevens?" Pale green eyes flicked over to her twin at the last comment, a smirk crossing her face as the card was surrendered over to her.

"Oh well, I tend to try decorating things and wearing jewelry in my hair and such. I have been trying to see if we can generate power for longer times, or leave a charge for longer as like a battery for after I touch it, but so far, not much is working." Julie explained with a sigh.

"Have you thought of reading up on electricity and its storage?" Aaron suggested idly, looking at his hand of cards. "Perhaps it could give you some helpful tips on developing and utilizing your ability?" His eyes flicked over to Darcy, a small smirk crossing his lips. "Any kings?"
Darcy glowered as she handed over the card. "Aaron has a pretty good suggestion." she admitted grudgingly, sticking out her tongue at her brother shortly after.
