July 2nd 2010- Thread was updated, two new potential tribe members popped up. Also, decision upon tribe marking decided.

For the longest of times there have always been groups of foxes that followed the light or the darkness within their own hearts. These foxes have all followed different paths that helped to shape them into what they became.

The lands of Cruor are truly no different. Within the forest there are two shrines. One is that of the Shade Beast. A dark modeity that enjoys convincing foxes to put the boundaries of what they perceive in order to see what will happen. The other shrine that has been hidden away is that of the modeity Eireen. A modeity of harmony and peace, her existence is equal to that of the Shade beast and opposite. They are conflicting entities that are eternally bound together by this land. One can only exist with the help of the other.

Eireen helps to bind the tribe together with feelings of closeness and comradery, while the Shade Beast makes each of them strive to shine in their own respective niches. Eireen does not often speak to the tribe directly rather she whispers to one or two foxes from time to time to help the fox, or tribe. The Shade Beast though takes a much more direct approach to its meddling in tribal affairs. The end result is somewhat surprising.

The tribe worships the Shade Beast actively for it is a creature that watches over the tribe and requires respect and certain performances to keep it happy. The Shade Beast controls the shadows, and gives both Elder and Shaman's the ability to talk to it with the usage of shadows. Eireen is a much harder modeity to contact, she will unobtrusively whisper into the mind of some foxes when she feels that they require her guidance. Rarely if ever does she speak to the whole tribe. The leader may pray to her, though the leader tends to be bonded tighter to the Shade Beast and should have no need of Eireen.

Eireen opens her shrine to those who seek her when needing help with family, love, or other emotions, for she is more caring than the Shade Beast. She pester's the tribe members in their private moments, which means if two foxes have fallen in love she will be the one to deal with them, for she is kinder and gentler than the Shade Beast, who would only make the two suffer. Her shrine is hidden, invisible to even the Elder unless she wishes to allow someone into her shrine. She will call out for some foxes, though rarely. She only really speaks to the tribe on a certain day, the Day of Whisper's.

The Shade Beast is harsher, more demanding. He is tightly connected to the Elder, and easier to access. There was once a time where access to him was restricted, but now if a fox wishes they can go to his shrine with either the Shaman or Elder to speak to him. Beware though, the Shade Beast can be slightly twisted. Usually, Eireen watches him closely.

Mating with outsiders is allowed, even encouraged to build the family stronger. The Elder is known for being extremely violent if he feels threaten, but the addition of a Beta to the tribe has helped the tribe become lighter, calmer. Alliances can be made, but needs to be brought up to with the Beta, so that the Beta can speak to the Elder. Meetings between Elders of different tribes usually result in the Elder taking the Beta with them, in which the Shaman eyes the tribe. However, if the Elder is gone on an event, the Beta watches over the tribe.

The tribe will not tolerate inter-violence. Fighting with clanmembers will result in punishment, for this tribe is a home. Play fighting among kits are even closely watched, for they do not wish to encourage future possible fights.

The Forest's Discovered Land:

Forest- This forest is difficult to escape without the aid of a inhabitant, large and full of tree's and little markings to track your progress. It is severely dark, with random spots of light from where the sunlight breaks through the tree's. Prey are usually hidden, mostly deer and rabbits.

Celebrations Pond- A pond where events are held and celebrations are enjoyed. Sun breaks through this area, making it the one spot for prey to gather for both water and a good sunning.

Shrine of Shade- A shrine fallen apart and merely rubble, there is a small entrance in the side. Inside rests the Shade Beast, a force that can grant safety and good fortune to the ones that please it, however is picky about visitors.

Shrine of Eireen – A sacred shrine that is hidden away in the forest. The modeity keeps all foxes away by not allowing them to see her shrine even if they walk right by it. None may enter her place without her consent. She is gentle and healing, but also quiet and shy, so rarely is another allowed to come here. However, those needing her help are always welcomed.

Silence Tree- A large weeping willow lies here. Anyone who causes strife or within the tribe itself are sent here, not allowed to speak or fend for themselves for the specific amount of days mentioned before sent here. Tribe members will bring them food twice a day, however are not permitted to engage in conversation. If two or more members of the tribe are clashing, they are sent here and not permitted to speak to anyone but the other they are conflicting with, and not allowed to return unless they are on good terms once more.

Base- Where the tribe members sleep and reside mostly. The ground is soft and lush with grass. There are three hollow tree's, where the tribe splits up and sleeps in. One tree that resides in the middle belongs kits. Another tree is where the adult tribe members sleep, and the other is where the sick reside.

These are the important dates of the tribe:

First of Every Month Tribe collects kill and brings it to the temple, where the Elder speaks to the Shade Beast and presents the kill, asking for good luck.
February 14th: A rather foolish day in the Elder's mind, but still a celebrated event among the foxes. A fox confess's their love for another tribe member, and offers kill to them as a gift.
April 1st: Another foolish day, the adults completely dismiss this day save some childish few. Kits however play tricks on the adults. Lately the Elder orders the Carer to take them away from the day, however they still always cause trouble.
July 8th: The tribe members thank the Shade Beast, and collect kill, offering it to the temple.
September 17th: Day of Whispers. Eireen is quite much of the time but if you listen closely she may speak to the tribe on this day. No one is truly sure why this is. If she asks a task of a fox and they perform it she rewards them well though.
October 4th: The birthday of the Shade Beast, where the fox's gather at the bottom of the ancient temple and present gift's to the beast. The Elder speaks to the Shade Beast.
October 31st: Adults collect sweet berries and herbs and hides throughout the forest for the kits to find them and collect the treats from. If they cannot find the adults, other kits can share their sweets with them.
