So, here's the thing. There's this little town, nestled in the mountains to the west of Eyris. Just pull up that giant map, look at that little mountain range, and there it is. You don't see it on there? Well, it's a very, very small town. Oh, what's it called, you ask? Depending on who you ask, you get different things. Ask an old man, you'll get an incomprehensible, garbled answer. Ask a younger person, they might say something like "Farmville." ...Yeah, you asked the village drunk, nice job. If you ask someone respectable, like, say, the village mayor, you'll get something like...
Like...
Falboro. Pronounced "fall borough". See what the mayor did there? He's quite the crafty one, as I'm sure you've noticed! But, even the mayor's unending wit and creativity can't stop all problems, sadly.
See, the worst thing happened recently, in poor little Falboro. At the beginning of each summer, the small town has a celebration. They believe it makes the crops grow faster and higher, and it's really just a cute, time-honored tradition. And at the end of each little festival, they harvest a few of the scrawnier looking crops for one great, big feast! But, their special festival equipment has been stolen!
And this is where you're likely going to start to care. See, this small town of Falboro is really pretty close to Eyris, maybe only a full day's walk, even shorter on a horse. So, the mayor, being a font of ideas, arranged for that wonderful guild in charge of all the big cities in the country, what was it called...? Well, no matter, he still knew of them, and it didn't take too much for one of their higher-ups to send out a few of their members.
Finally, you guys matter! Due to the different paces and departure times of each of the group sent, the mayor is situated at the gate of the small farm town, greeting any and all warriors, intellectuals or investigators that enter. So, what are you waiting for? Enter the town!
...oh, and please give the mayor your name while you're at it. Otherwise, he won't know who to give credit to!
Now, a few rules, if only to have them: -I don't want the group to be getting too huge. Six characters at the most, but three at the least. I might throw in one of mine if I think it'd help (or if I just want to, dunno yet). -I'm planning on this running similarly to Lyre's thread, mainly the concept that there's a narrator-thing. It's gonna be in that teal color up there. -One character per person. I don't care if you've got five different characters you want to put in, or even just two, you're only putting in one. I just don't want one person doing all the work or having that much sway over the group, is all. -Keep your posting rather regular. Depending on the size of the group, how often I want you posting will change. But, it's going to likely be within the span of a few days, most likely three. I see most of you online in some capacity almost every day, so writing up a post will not be that hard for you. If, for some reason, someone joins and is holding up the RP, it will move on without them. I don't care if you're in a fight, or if you're at the end of it all, if you hold it up too long, your character will spontaneously run away while screaming, crying, and wetting their pants. -And on that note, posts do not have to be massive works of written art. If you're really busy and can give me a good reason why you're busy, I'll be perfectly fine with a paragraph of crap. But for the most part, FEF doesn't do that to begin with. I'm just saying that you need to tell me, in depth, if you're too busy to post. -BECAUSE I FORGOT. This thread takes place shortly after the Spring Mini-Event, the Adliana thread. So there's not much keeping any character you'd want to throw in from being thrown in. And so it doesn't conflict with anything from the incoming Summer event, it takes place between the Spring and Summer ones. There's totally enough time for it what are you talking about. >w>;

Sunil had heard word about some village in Learania that had lost their precious items. Being the kind of kitty that has to have something to do, when voluntarily done or forced, he made his way to Falboro. Why? Well, he had nothing better to do, now that his trip to Nomad Land was done and they cleared their names of all the attacks done on that land. That masked dude was a meanie face, lying and making it seem like it was their fault!
He soon reached Falboro, and who was the first person to greet him? None other than the mayor himself! This saved the cat the trouble of looking for him.
"...My name is Sunil. I heard you guys had something of yours taken, nya? Is it alright if I help look for it?" the cat asked, introducing himself in the process.((Meh post is meh.))

Go out and help find a precious object lost somewhere in Learania? Well this was a job Ziaram was up for, and so he found himself heading off for someone named Falboro, where it seemed someone else was taking the job as well.
Well, better than being alone...the two of them could cover more ground than having no ground at all. So...may as well say who he was and get this over with.
"I'm Ziaram...I hear that you guys need some help with an item taken? I'm up for helping getting it back." The worst that could happen? Being rejected, and the item never gets found.

Joshua had been in the village for a while now, he'd been sent out immediatly riding double on a wyvern in order to assess the situation and get things settled, upon arrival he'd introduced himself and had planned to go to the tavern to start Gambling gathering information.
The citizens however had different ideas and the moment he'd landed in the center he'd been swarmed by angry or curios people all clamoring around the guard member.
"No- I.... would you- what? Don't touch the hat." He couldn't seem to get a word in edgewise with these people, which meant he couldn't help them... which meant he couldn't go back and get off this lame assignment that was cutting into his gambling time.
He shoulda stayed a mercenary.

(( *punch Joshua* Don't bunny the townspeople, tardface. :| There is no tavern, either, what with them being a simple farm town. So! ))
The mayor smiled as he saw people approach the gate to town. First was a somewhat shifty-looking boy with odd lumps on his shady little cloak and an odder speech impediment. The Mayor smiled, welcoming Sunil to the town. "Ah, thank you, Sunil. What exactly do you have that will help you in finding our lost things, boy?" he asked, giving him a curious eye. For all the Mayor knew, this kid was a thief with all manner of gadgets on his person. And if he was a thief, he'd likely get no farther than this gate without getting something stabbed through his stomach. But... if he was going to help, he couldn't be all bad, right?
Next to arrive, almost immediately after, was another dark-coated man, this time with a sword at his side. He introduced himself as Ziaram, a name that the Mayor thought was... rather odd. Those city folk and their refined names, he'd never understand them. This man, at least, had the decency to show his weapon. It was a simple-looking sword, but the boy could be rather capable with it. He also didn't seem quite like the type to take things from people. The Mayor simply smiled at the Myrmidon, patting him on the shoulder.
...and then came the third. People always say, third time's the charm, and by the looks of it, the third one had much less respect than those before him. Aside from the fact that he couldn't possibly have any wyvern-riding skills, when the man nearly fell into the plaza from atop his wyvern, the people reacted rather obviously. With a few waves of a pitchfork, the wyvern flew off, back towards Eyris. And the rest of the nearby villagers quickly snatched up the other, less polite, somehwat idiotic Myrmidon, and began pulling upon him like a ragdoll. he'd never actually introduced himself to the Mayor, what with him being able to stupidly fly over the village and land in the middle of it when the Mayor was at the only gated edge. As four villagers lifted him between them, two ran up and kept watch, in case he squirmed. Dropping in so randomly, let alone without any sign of an invitation or approval to go far past the gates wasn't very polite.
The small villager horde quickly moved towards the gate the Mayor was at, throwing him rather majestically onto the ground at his feet. The villager leading that "assault", a man now sporting a rather pointless looking black hat that looked like an upturned paper boat, whispered into the Mayor's ear while glaring at the redhead Myrmidon laying sprawled out on the ground.
"So, your name is Joshua. Well, Joshua," he said, giving a surprisingly powerful Glare of Authority at the Myrmidon, "If you were an informed part of the group that we requested aid from, you'd have known to speak to me, not to come making some dangerous entrance. I do not stand for using animals to intimidate my townspeople, understand? Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be right back, so stay here." With that, the Mayor walked off with the Ugly-Hat-Bearing villager off into a building on the far side of the small little "plaza".
At this point, it would be quite wise for the adventurers to acquaint themselves with one another.
And the moment the door to that far off building closed, a tan-skinned, dark-haired man walked towards the gate, spying the two people standing near it, and a third on the ground. As he got within a reasonable speaking distace of the three, he simply asked "So, uh, where's the mayor?"
(( So, Joshua has been moved over to where everyone else is, since he's kinda like trespassing or something, the Mayor went off to go do something and will return shortly, and I threw in a Sephas for you to interact with. ))

The mayor responded gently, though soon questioned what Sunil would be contributing to this search and find mission. He had choose his words carefully, for chances were, these people had never seen a Laguz before. He wasn't at all surprised if he was being viewed as some thief. That's probably what sparked the suspicion in the first place.
"While I may not be able to prove it to you immediately, my hearing is very good, as is my sense of smell. I'm also very aware that you may suspect me of being a thief of sorts, nya, because of how I'm dressed. It's not the first time someone's suspected me, but I assure you, just as I assured my past clients, I'm not a thief." he stated. If the mayor paid attention, he could see a feline tail swishing back and forth behind Sunil.
Some others had shown up now. A dark haired swordsman, who the Mayor greeted with a pat on the shoulder. There was also a commotion from inside the village, and an idiot redhead with long hair and a sword was dragged out to gate. The Mayor glared at the man before giving him some words of (sound) advice. He then went off with someone wearing a hat to one of the buildings.
No sooner had the Mayor left did two more people show up. A scrawny, tanned kid he could easily smell was a Branded (he tensed slightly, but relaxed almost as instantly as the tension came), and a female Laguz he vaguely recalled seeing at the Host Party almost half a year ago. Both his eyes were blue now, and the silly kitty was now the serious kitty.
"You just missed him. He'll be right back though, if we wait." he informed the Branded, before he turned his attention to the female cat and nodded to confirm her question.

A simple pat to the shoulder, and a smile was the reaction Ziaram got...well it was better than what Joshua got...the idiot seemed to arrive and be mobbed at the same time...looking over at Sunil, all that came out was a sigh. "Why does it seem that we will be paired up with that fool?"
Yet moving away from that topic...he turned to see two others arrive...one laguz, and a mage it seemed, and he had asked where the mayor was, yet Sunil answered that for him. Well...I am sure we will need magic on this journey to find this lost object...well it should end relatively well.

And so after a misunderstanding from Rei the villagers, Joshua was dumped back outside.... Hatless, "That guy had better bring that back... or else a lot more then festival equipment might go missing," he muttered beneath his breath. Then he noticed the people looking at him... and he was hatless, which was like being naked. A snide remark from Ziaram aside (he liked the kid, despite the big mouth really that would get him in trouble one day.) Joshua stood up and dusted himself off and looked over the group, Ziaram he knew, tanned boy was with Akihi often and then the other two where obviously thieves or Laguz. Because of their size he presumed Laguz as opposed to thief (also one of them said "nya" which was a dead give away). "Suppose we should all get to know one another? I'm Joshua, as the mayor pointed out, a guard member," and I feel totally naked without my hat... he had better bring it back, without any new creases in it. out loud though he sighed, it was going to be a long day by the look of it, really he had the worst luck sometime. Now that he thought of it he hadn't flipped a coin yet for good luck today, well he would just check his pockets and... strange all the coins there were gone no matter he would just get the one from the secret pocket in his... that one was gone too. Joshua quickly patted himself down checking all the places he usually hid coins, "All of my money is gone!" he exclaimed, ohhhh yea, it was gonna be a looooong day.

Anxious and full of childlike joy, she ran down the ornate castle hallways. No one objected, and no one told her to stop. It was only natural for her to be so excited, after all. Never again would she ever have to sleep the years away in dark, quiet seclusion. Here she would be safe, and here she would remain. Safety and People to live with. That was enough to make her giddy with glee as she was transported across the continent.
"Haste" was the last thing she would ever think of. Her mentor had told her quite a few times that hastiness would only lead to misfortune. She didn't even take the time to change out of her brown traveling robes into something more suited to her new environment. She didn't notice her aching legs, nor did she pay any heed to the empty hallway. Anyone who would be tending to this area was probably near the entrance, waiting for her, not expecting her to rocket off into the castle's interior without warning.
She found an appealing bedroom door and opened it up. But the interior was now what she expected. Instead of stepping onto the clean red rug in a sunny room in the middle of Pales, Archanea... Tiki stepped onto a dirt road in the middle of nowhere.
Her eyes widened in confusion. She whipped around and swung open the now-rotted wooden door. Within was... Nothing but a dirty old cot. She swiftly yet softly closed the door and turned around, an itching feeling of panic slowly dawning upon her. What was this?
And... am I alone again?

(( Eheheh, sorry about the delay... ))
Oddly enough, the assorted band of misfits found it reasonable to not know the names of the others in their group. Maybe they'd get acquainted some other time? But whatever.
The mayor returned, and following him was a horse-drawn carriage with a simple tarp going from one side to the other in a large loop. It's kinda like those Oregon Trail wagons, or a better description would just be this. So, it rolled up behind the mayor, following him back towards the gate. As the man stepped aside, amongst the guild members, the carriage went a little farther, leaving the town and halting a good ten feet past the gate. Sitting atop the... driver's seat, or whatever the hell it's called, was a man with an especially silly black hat.
"That man there, his name is Jerry. He'll be taking you up to where we think the thieves are. It's a ways, so it's better than walking." The Mayor smiled, fully confident that the hopes of the town would not fail. After all, if they messed up and couldn't find the things, they wouldn't get anything!
"So, uh... Sunil, Ziaram, Joshua, and..."
"Sephas."
"And Sephas. The customs and traditions of a small town are riding on all your shoulders. No pressure. Now, these thieves, they've harassed our town before, so we know where they come from. You guys should be more than able to get rid of them, and get our things back!" He began laughing, before gesturing the four towards the carriage. "So go on, get going!"
===
Sephas sighed, rather quietly. He was relieved that the mayor wasn't any sort of intimidating beast or anything like that. After all, with the heap that red-haired swordsman was in, he was expecting something mean and terrible. However, when the man was smiling and speaking of such an important thing so lightly, the mage's nerves calmed quite a bit. Then, as they were beckoned onto the carriage, Sephas quickly just walked over and climbed into the back. The sooner they got in, the sooner they left, and the sooner they left, the sooner they'd be able to help these people!
It was only then that he finally began thinking about just who he was going to be doing this with. There was Joshua, the red-haired man. The mage noticed a sword attached to his hip, something that he would hopefully use well, considering his shouting made him come off as childish and even less skilled than Sephas. It was just a few coins after all, and it wasn't like it was any big deal. The village was even going to give them a reward, so Joshua was just being silly.
Ziaram was... maybe on the same page as the mage. He seemed rather down-to-earth, and he used a sword, just like Joshua. If the redhead couldn't cut it, maybe the unassuming black-haired guy could. And then, there was this cloaked figure, Sunil. Sephas didn't even have to try to notice that the man was a laguz. After all, he had a blue tail sticking out. The earth mage was a little cautious, when it came to this guy. A laguz couldn't likely be too accepting of Branded. Heck, even some of the ones back home in Hatari were a little unnecessarily rude to him because of something like that. And if this guy wasn't very nice to Branded, then there'd be some inevitable clashing, something that Sephas was much less willing to be around than most people. After all, he'd managed to go undetected so far, so he didn't want to get found out now.

Sunil watched as the mayor returned with a horse-drawn carriage. It seems like they would be riding in this to reach their destination. The cat nodded and was about to climb into the vehicle when he paused, picking up a scent that...seemed to come out of nowhere. Female and...clearly not a Beorc.
"...You guys go on ahead. There's one of our people straggling behind. I'll pick them up and meet up with you guys at the thieves' base. I'll manage somehow." he said, jumping back down on the ground.
"Oy, Newcomer. Keep an eye on the useless redhead and the average blackie. I may not like guys like you, but you're probably more reliable that the idiot who launched himself into the town." he added.
He then hurried down a path, following the scent to Tiki. When he was out of sight from the others, he shifted into his Beast form so he could get to the girl faster. And when he got close to reaching her location, he shifted back.((Let's just say he's found Tiki now or something.))

Trying to get a hold of herself, Tiki held her own shoulders and sat on the remains of the front entry. She felt lost and confused... And no one was around. What's going to happen to me? The road went in two directions... but which one would lead to people? And would they help her? If there were any people at all... How did this happen? This couldn't just be a nightmare... could it? It couldn't be. It wasn't. No... No...
...
Tiki started to sob to herself as the ideas and fears bounced around in her head, out of her control. It was so easy to panic, so easy to cry... But suddenly she felt she wasn't alone. She caught sight of something coming her way out of the corner of her eye. She wiped her face with her sleeve and smiled a shaky, tentative smile. She turned her head to face the cloaked man before her.
"H... Hello?"

Sunil could hear muffled sobs (at least, he thought they were sobs) before he stopped and shifted out of his Beast form. After a few moments and making sure his hood was on right, he stepped out into the open where the girl was.
"Uh...hi. Are you from around here?" he asked the girl.
Yeah, it was a pretty rude question to ask the girl. But from the sudden appearance of her scent...she may have been like him and the others and passed suddenly through the Door into this world.((Meh. : ))

The unexpected question should have caught her off guard, but she was wondering the same thing at the time. "No." Tiki sniffled. "I mean... I don't think so. I just walked into a room... and came out here."
Tiki still felt heavy. She felt like she couldn't move. Or at least, didn't want to. Would this man believe her? He was the only one around, and Tiki didn't want to sound stupid in front of the only one who could help her out right now. Thoughts about who he was and how he looked didn't cross her mind at all... though he sounded nice enough. She wiped her nose on her sleeve and brushed off her cloak, trying to look less messy in front of the fellow before her. Slowly, she stood up, feeling a little lightheaded. Probably from the crying.
"Um... Can you help me? She asked tentatively. "Please?"
