"I am fighting for my life...."
User Image

Good Evening everyone and welcome to the Royal! Let me begin by stating that events inside this sub forum are not directly related to the primary plot, that having been said the battles will take shape as this, the first time you Visit, you post here with the character who is intending to battle, Next if another person has posted who you would like to skirmish with please post a brief interaction of your character challenging the afore mentioned fighter. Next, and this is vital, upon receiving an acceptance for this fight, agree upon a tournament room and please take the fight to that thread. You shall find the threads also listed in the member roleplays section until further notice.

Without much ado the Serpentine frame of young Dion slinked its way through the chamber door looking around to find that so far the elaborate gathering hall devoid of activity, save for the few servants here and there, just to be certain he glanced down to the sheet which had guided him to this place.
Satisfied that he'd not made a mistake, he moved slowly toward one of the far tables where he would be able to get a good view of the room while still keeping his back safely against a wall. As he strolled over the colorful light of the stained glass windows cast rainbows across his face and garb. The windows each displayed depictions of victories past and honorable if not violent deaths.

Jang
Jangliba Joupeddilla Jamblaladoonsbury III

User Image
Soon the room was filled with song as Jang launched himself through the doors strumming away merrily upon his ethereal instruments, This did not cease even as he saw the apprehension of the servants or of Dion who had been waiting in the previous silence. Soon Jang settled to the small stage area where he would continue to sing and to play regardless of who was listening to him, the vocals and sounds echoing off the stone walls ominously in a way which for some might build mounting anticipation.

~Fppt~
In a small tuft of smoke soon the form of the great evil Delfian the Bloodletter took his place among the ranks of those present and invited to this tournament. With quiet and cold eyes he stared out at the others awaiting any who would dare to challenge him in this place.

Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze

All I gotta do is fight someone and win, right? Lykourgos asked, speaking between mouthfuls as he chewed away at the food being presented to him by the chef. The man, one of the many staff members who worked in ensuring that the tournament ran smoothly, smiled and nodded, his hands habitually rubbing each other in a glib business manner. But of course! Should you win, you won't have to worry about paying here. Of course, should you lose... He ended it at that, expecting Lykourgos to understand where he was going with his words.
The words, however, were lost on the young male, who merely laughed heartily as he continued to eat. Aye, Aye! This'll be fun. Just 'ow do I get inta dese battles? He asked, taking a pause from his food to look up at the chef. The chef, dressed in stereo-typical chef attire, smiled once more and reached behind the counter to retrieve a slip of paper. He held it out for Lykourgos to take, but when Lykourgos made no move to grab it, rather looked blankly at the words, the Chef frowned but turned the sheet of paper to himself and began riting the instructions. When he finished, Lykourgos had finished the plate and was nodding his head. A'ight, A'ight, A'ight! Got it! Twirling about in his seat, leaning on it so it stood on but a single leg, and standing abruptly, Lykourgos bounced off in good spirits as he began searching for someone to fight. At this point it did not matter to the wild-haired male who he came across, as long as he won and the food he had eaten was paid for from the earnings he would receive.

It was in this bouncy mooded sprint that he came across the first person, aside from the chef, that he had seen since entering the tournament. Coming to a halt, the amount of traction on the bottom of his footwear being enough to prevent him from skidding any more than a few centimeters, he stood before the person and pointed at him. You! Fight me! There were still traces of his meal on his face, showing how hurriedly he had gone through it and the amount of knowledge he had about proper dinner etiquette. This of course did not defray him, nor did it give him any reason from being him.
The person he stood before, openly and happily challenging to a fight, was in fact; Delfain the Bloodletter.

For a moment Delfian's cold eyes eased across the room and settled upon the young man who had brazenly burst in upon him. He had in fact been awaiting a challenger, unfortunately it was this creature here. He held back his disappointment as he stood. He actually had his face uncovered, so the scar across his neck glinted slightly as he rose, cold eyes leveling on Lycourgos.
There was a slight sigh heaved through Delfian's nostrils and while one hand secured Tounaou and Shenti where they sat sheathed behind his back. His second hand lifted three fingers and with the location decided upon, he began to walk out toward the door toward the tournament rooms not caring if he were followed or not.

Deciding to join the fray of individual's that found themselves sitting in the lobby of the arena, Kaiden walked in with his usual dark air about him that seemed to follow him. He pulled his cloak's hood from his head before letting out a brief sigh as he got a good glance of the fighters around. Some looked strong, others nimble. Some looked ridiculous, others dangerous. It was an interesting mix of people forming in the lobby area. Kaiden reached up and clasped his necklace tightly before letting out a sigh as he made his way over to a sitting area and took a seat without a single glance towards another competitor. He did not think he would need to fight someone to the death. He didn't have intentions of pushing himself that far, unless it was forced upon him in which case he was certainly taking someone with him.

Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze

Lykourgos took little notice of the disappointment that Delfain had, probably would not have noticed it if the man had come out and say (which he couldn't obviously). And despite the cold eyes Lykourgos remained unaffected by them, simply staring back with glowing eyes for a response to indicate whether or not he accepted the challenge.
Score! Lykourgos cried cheerfully, watching as Delfain made his way to the tournament rooms. Looks like it'll be free meal today! He thought, wasting no time in following the challangee.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

User Image

Hooo... Standing off to the side, with her arms crossed and eyes passing about the room nonchalantly, was Jing. The lobby, to the woman, proved to be of medium size. Along the sides of the walls, there were a multitude of places with signs that hung above them with titles and names Jing had never heard of before. Even the people seemed to be mismatched, a multitude of styles in their garb and weapons making her curious as to their origins. The one thing that they all had in common, that even she too could not deny, was that they had been drawn there for one thing. To fight. Jing herself had already entered a tournament room, having fought twice now with people whose names she cared not to remember nor made the effort to learn when given.
She was already aware that the two she had fought were not what one would call "good" fighters, so the victories held little meaning to her. As she stood there, eyes passing from one person to the next, she waited for someone to catch her interest, or vice versa.

I’m gonna suffer for the rest of my life
But I will always find a way to survive
I’m not a failure but I know what it’s like
I can take it or leave or die
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enko walked into the lobby, a tad bit late in comparison to some of the others, but he had a very good reason for his tardiness. The news of this tournament had spread across the province like wildfire, contagious as it may be, the ruins of cities such as Kilawli, caught wind of it later than those buzzing with people. Despite all this, here he was, currently approaching the bar of the lounging area. The gentlemen asked him what he would like and laughed immediately after hearing the response, “Milk, please.” He slipped his pale hand into one of the pockets of his trench coat, which was draping over the side of the stool he was sitting on, and pulled out some currency. The man stared at it in amusement, but accepted it after mumbling something about it being foreign to him.
The wild haired man, with eyes similar to a glistening emerald, turned around and began to eye the other participants within these games. If it was not for the twins that he met after his awakening, he probably would have isolated himself away from the world. However due to that fateful encounter, he was willing to give interactions another shot. Enko was well aware of the fact that this was a tournament, which meant violence would practically be a guarantee, however he was taught that some people speak through their fists more so than their mouths.
{{Ooc:// I'm literally doing this like right after their bar fight, before the fighting in Linkton started XD}}
No... There was no way that was who Kaiden thought it was... no! It couldn't be... No! And yet, there she was. The 'dog'... was here?! Just when Kaiden had thought, for a moment, he might actually escape her wrath he had found her once again. Was she following him?! Maybe, but he doubted it. After all, why would Jing chose to follow him. They didn't even like one another after all. Kaiden felt compelled to say something to her, wave, something, but he was worried she might actually assault him. She was strange enough to do so after his comments to her in the past. After all, Jing wasn't a dog, no matter how much she smelled like it. And yet, like a moth to the flame, Kaiden started over towards Jing.
"Do you always smell like a 'dog'? Oh, wait, I suppose I should say wolf since you find a difference in the two." Kaiden was almost taunting Jing as he came to a stop, his cloak already off his head, next to Jing. He was tempting fate with Jing here, but he didn't seem to mind. "So, would you happen to be here looking for a fight because I believe we have something to settle..." Oh! That was certainly a challange by Kaiden. There was only one problem with Kaiden's voice, it never seemed to show any amusement in anything he said. He just seemed serious about something, that or he just didn't care at all. Regardless, he was basically asking Jing for a fight. They had something to finish after all.
Jing of the Ellian Mountains
[Not how Jing would really act, but for the sake of getting them into the TR thought I'd tone her down. BTW, when did Kaiden become so talkative? XD]
User Image
Jing's patience had begun to run low, and when a few minutes had passed of waiting she was just about to push away from the wall and grab the first person who looked strong when someone unexpected appear. Kaiden. She thought, watching as he crossed the room to her. It was unexpected to see him aproach her, she being under the impression he wasn't fond of her. And yet there he was, and though she would not have said it aloud, she would not deny herself that she was glad to see at least one familiar face.
At least, she was glad. As soon as his mouth opened and words began pouring out, her eyes, a nonchalant gaze before, flared up, becoming as fierce as she was angry. Hand flying up and taking a steel hold of the scruff of his garments, she brought him close so she facing him eye to eye. You just meowed the wrong words. She growled, tempted to snap his neck there. It would have been easy, except to do so would be about as smart punching a bear while in it's cave. The last thing she needed was to deal with the security here.
Releasing her grip on Kaiden, her hand feeling strained from gripping so hard, she pointing towards one of the many halls, still glaring at him. Room II Turning away from him, she stomped in the direction of the pointed room. All while fantasizing about how she would relieve her pented rage by using Kaiden's body as a rag doll.
Eamonn Lancaster
}|{ The Exiled One }|{
User Image
[OOC// N/A]
As Eamonn entered the lobby of the Royale, a woman stormed passed him, teary-eyed and with a large blood stain on the front of her shirt. The man stopped to look back and watch her, noting that she had made a beeline for the Medical Center, but otherwise gave no further thought than a: Don't bite what's too big for you, and he continued on. He looked around the room, expression stony and eyes calculating as he judged everything throughout the room. A tournament... He thought, eyes narrowing at the memory of the first, and last, one he attended. It had resulted in the death of his sister, and while he had made a vow to never take part in another he found himself here anyways. Fate must be working against me. Eamonn thought, exhaling deeply and closing his eyes as he tried to consider just why he was here.
'What other reason to come to a tournament than to figh someone strong!' A voice spoke, one that was not outside of his body, it certainly didn't belong to the voice of one of the many in the room, a quite drone as people talked, laughed, and chattered acting almost as a background noise. Had he not been familiar with the voice, he would have simply passed it off as the voice of someone nearby. Aed, quiet. Eamonn told the sword, his hand falling and resting upon the hilt of the sentient sword. Quite something he had not expected, what the sword having a voice and mind of its own, yet he was far from surprised. It did, at times, seem to act as if it were alive.
'How can you tell me to remain quiet when so many souls surround us!' Aed retorted, the excitement of the sword, if that was indeed what Eamonn was feeling, touching Eamonn's own emotions. True enough, Eamonn could feel the power of other warriors, some strong, others weak, all varying in skill and technique. Whether it was due to the swords affect on his emotions, or his own true feelings, Eamonn felt a quiver of excitement inside, a memory of fighting on par with another in a battle that could only be determined by skill and experience. I shall wait. Eamonn thought, finding a pillar to lean against, cloak pulled about him and a hand resting on Aed's hilt, Eamonn's own eyes jumping from face to face as he ignored the drones and complaints of the weapon at his waist.
Greil "Gale" Douren
{{Occ:// }}
"Well, well, well. This place looks like a place I could find some entertainment. Doubtful Vaylin would ever come to a place like this, but I can bide my time here for a while, of course. Should be interesting." These words were spoken by a somewhat armored man standing in the lobby with his halberd resting against his shoulder as he looked around with a smile on his face. He chuckled lightly as he closed his eyes and shook his head. "Faith would be furious with me, but she can't complain too much. At least I can avoid killing someone. Plus, they won't be bandits that don't have a clue at what they are doing." The dark haired man said to himself thoughtfully. He nodded lightly to himself before picking up his halberd and walking across the lobby to a seating area.
Griel didn't make it across the lobby, in fact he only made it halfway before he stopped, turning his eyes to look directly in the direction of a bar. Notably, a young man sat there who caught Griel's attention, but he wasn't the only one. Griel's eyes also stopped on a long red haired man. Griel could feel something odd coming from the man's weapon, but that didn't mean a whole lot to him. He had seen cursed weapons in his time, but it wasn't his place to deal with them. Someone else could worry about cursed objects. Continuing his search, Griel noticed another young man playing an instrument off to the side. All in all, the place was interesting. Griel assumed he could find some interesting people here so long as he hung around.
"Should be fun." Griel said with a whisper before grinning lightly as he continued on his way. Griel found himself a seat before placing his halberd against the wall. He rarely ever used that halberd, but he carried it around for reasons known only to him. Maybe someone would figure out why, but he doubted it.
