Inside this large chamber is a platform upon which many battles have been played out. Inside there are only two rules. Kill your opponent before they kill you, and of course no God Modding. I'll be acting referee, and any disputes should be submitted to myself in a PM which states the action and the tournament room number.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> Following the passageway he soon came to a large elaborate door with three "I"s carved above the archway. Delfian had arrived and as if reacting to his presence, the doors opened bathing him in the golden light of the sun which beat down upon the tournament floor. Along with the sun the sound of the roaring crowd burst forth with the opening doors. Delfian's visage momentarily dropped it's composure showing a scowling face. He'd not been able to sense the people's presence until the door had opened. With his right foot forward he stepped forward into the light. "Introducing Delfian the Bloodletter!" Came the cry of some unseen announcer. Delfian wasted little time ascending the platform and taking a firm stance against his opponent Shenti and Tounau still sheathed behind his back.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯ As Lykourgos followed Delfain, his thoughts were hardly taking the battle into consideration. His mind was filled with thoughts of food, his stomach, despite having already been fed not minutes ago, was already making sounds. For Lykourgos, it was necessary to consume food, not only did it keep him from staring, his metabolism being off the charts, but to him it was one of his top pleasures and goals. "To eat all of the world's delicious foods!" This tournament would just be one of many stops, and, should things go right for him here, he would have one place left to visit. As they walked through the door, Lykourgos was given a shock as he found that he was standing upon a platform opposite of Delfain. He turned about to see what the trick was, but upon looking he found that the doors behind him had already shut. Turning about, smiling, he found that the magic, along with the announcement of his name and the cheering crowd, was making his blood race with excitement. Even without the food, this' pretty nice. He thought, cracking his knuckles and rotating his limbs to loosen them up as he ascended the platform.
Up top, he hopped the last several steps and took a stanceless position. He was facing Delfain, still grinning, in a way one might consider idiotically, and even waving to the crowd to which he was having trouble seeing due to the bright light shining from above. When he finished with this, he turned to Delfain, and saw that he had yet to draw his weapons. Hm... pretty confident if your not using your weapons. Lykourgos commented, raising a hand to stroke some of the silver hairs that had begun growing around his chin and jaw. Should I make the first move than? Lykourgos was, in this form at least, a talker. In the heat of a battle he couldn't help himself but make comments, whether on his own form or his opponents. His silent adversary's cold disposition and serious expression did little to effect that. Well, whatever floats your boat. Throwing his hands out to either side of his body, he brought his hands together for a brief moment and reached into the sleeves of his tunic, grasping the deer-horn knives by their handles and pulling them out of their straps. With the weapons out in the open, he twirled them about his fingers, still without a stance and making no move to approach Delfain but smiling with bright eyes.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> Despite his lack of movement or reactions Delfian could see this young man would be trouble if he couldn't work out some strategy. Luckily the fact the kid was so hungry was so apparent he wouldn't have even needed to read his mind. Regardless, slowly and deliberately Delfian's hand dropped to his pocket. All the while the crowd cheering without pause. As he continued the stare down of his opponent, his eyes seemed to say but one thing. "Snacktime." Appearing to have finally found what he was looking for his hand re-emerged from the pocket, carrying with it a prepackaged sweet cake, which became visible immediately as the plastic wrap glinted in the light, the yellowish color of the confection not lending itself to stealth. Delfian's eyes remained on his opponent's reaction to the reveal of his secret weapon. As if gloating the cold gray man held the morsel up clearly for the young man to see every part of Delfian's body emphasising the thought that this was his food and not something Lykourgos would even be allowed to touch. Depending in fact upon Lykourgos reaction, he'd even pop the packaging open the thin plastic skin crinkling and lifted away from the golden center. He would even pause momentarily to smell the honey like flavor which permeated the cake.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯[Delfian is rather cruel.] Lykourgos' incessant twirling of his weapons ceased immediately upon seeing the cake. He watched with undivided awe and almost horror as man held the pastry up purposely so he could see the delectable treat. Even from this distance, with his sharpened senses and keen memory of foods, Lykourgos could already smell the sweetcake. H-hey! He called, gripping the weapons loosely as he, in but several seconds, crossed the distance between the two. He hadn't any intentions to early, but with the seductive treat so close by he felt he had no choice but to do is in order to get closer to the object of his desires. You'rnt gonna eat that, ar' ya? He asked, standing closeby and staring at it, feeling his mouth water as he imagined it's taste. At this point, all reasoning was lost on Lykourgos, what with food present and being held before him there was little that could be done to snap him out of the trance save the the object's disappearance.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> [You have no idea.]Lykourgos' reaction was truly priceless, Delfian savored every moment which tormented the poor boy. While still brandishing the treat around in his left hand his right hand slowly and carefully reached up toward Tounaou and Shenti. So far it was apparent that the boy's attentions were locked onto the sweet cake which glistened softly in the golden light, the crowd's roar dropping to a hushed whisper of its former self. It was then that Delfian took action. In one smooth motion Delfian popped the sweet up into the air. Undisturbed the flying confection would arc perfectly straight up and land right behind Lykourgos. Yet immediately upon popping the treat up into the air both blades were drawn from their sheath aimed in a lightning fast draw at Lykourgos' throat. It helped that he'd come so very close.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯[Out of curiousity. This treat isn't poisoned, is it? ''>>] Lykougos took no notice of the crowd's sudden muteness, nor of Delfian's movements for his weapons. It was the item in his left hand that had drawn all of his senses in, even his instinctual ones seemingly drawn in by his strong sense of desire for the food. In the bright sunlight, the cake seemed to glow with a golden aura that called out to him in a holy manner. Like the Holy Grail, but so much more.
No sooner had the treat been tossed into the air, Lykourgos was after it. He leapt up, following the arc that it made in a way so he remained under it by curving his body and pulling his weight. In an almost graceful motion, he snatched the cake from the air, stopped his headlong fall to the ground with a instinctual thrust of his hand, and with a powerful twist of his wrist turned his entire body about so he faced Delfian upon landing on his feet. Lykourgos was, needless to say, temporally out of reach of the blades, which had swung in the space his neck would have been had he not flown for the item. Thanks! He exclaimed, glancing down and holding the pastry in high reverence. He stared at it for but a short moment longer, before tossing it into his mouth and chewing away at it. It's lemon taste and scent drowning everything else out.
When Lykourgos finished, his focus returned, and he remembered, as if having forgotten, where he was and his reason for being there. Sorry 'bout that. He said, laughing as a hand went up to scratch at the back of his head, fingers slipping underneath the band of his hair-tie. Start from the beginning, I'm ready! He was about to return to spinning his weapons about. Until he realized that in his unconscious stupor over the piece of food, he had dropped them in the toss. The two lay at the feet of Delfian, looking somewhat sorry. Um... mind if I get those back first?

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> Delfian's face revealed no displeasure, surprising considering his first attack missed his target entirely. In fact Delfian's grinning complexion might easily have unnerved a more self-conscious opponent. The reason for his good mood was that the confection which had just been devoured had been especially prepaired with Ophidion's help. Upon Delfian's orders the confection had been purchased and filled with an especially deadly neurotoxin distilled from the killer blowfish. If The young man's heartrate were now to spike significantly, the poison's effects would constrict his lungs and diaphragm rendering his opponent unable to breathe. In fact the toxin itself was well known to be particularly volatile to flesh, causing caustic burns or rashes which would allow it to quickly enter the bloodstream through skin contact. However on the stomach lining the effects are far more painful as it would burn into the mucus lining causing ulcers and other worse problems throughout the digestive track. however none of these effects are by themselves inherently lethal. Delfian Smiled warmly and kicked over the two handheld weapons toward Lykourgos. Whilst balancing Shenti in his left hand and Taounao in his right. Striking a ready pose inviting Lykougos to make the first assault.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯[Not sure just how potent the poison is, some I'm going to post gradually it's effects on him. Can't say he's going to be happy about having the inside of his mouth and stomach eaten at. XD ] Thanks! Lykourgos exclaimed, bending down to pick up the weapons. With the two weapons back in his hand, twirling them as he stood up straight once more. Gotta say, you're kinda than I thought. He laughed, his left hand going up to rub the back of his head to massage an itch. You seem like one of them pessi-types, always lookin' at da bad side a'things. As he chattered, he took notice that Delfain had entered a stance, smiling at the sight. Ah! Seeing his opponent ready, Lykourgos finally felt ready in fighting Delfian. Here I come.
Lykourgos resumed the movement of his weapons, the only difference being that they spun at a faster rate than before. His heart was pounding, an inward anticipation building up inside of him as he took steps that felt excruciatingly slow to him. No sooner had he taken his fourth step, his leg muscles tense up and he shot forward, silver hair flying behind him, and rushed Delfian. Rather than a head-on attack, Lykourgos arc'd out, moving to the right and closing in from the side. His heart was now beating rapidly, the familiar rush of running making his blood race. This was his ectasy, and with his weapons gripped loosely in his hands he finally made his final steps towards Delfian and attacked. Suddenly halting beside his opponent, Lykourgos spun his body about, pivoting on one foot, building a burst-like momentum that gave a sharp spike in the speed at which his other leg, previous tucked into his body, move as it struck out to deliver a kick to the back of Delfian's head.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> [he should notice in the next few posts. It's pretty volatile, but not so volatile that when he finally vomits there would be much poison left to expel.] Delfian was enthralled and impressed at his opponent's speed and control. He figured he'd take note of it while they were both still available. Again he noted how the boy tried to out flank him the attack pattern of a wolf. In fact Delfian found himself thinking about this child as though battling a wild animal rather than a human being. As Lykourgos started to turn, so too did Delfian rotate, the cold black eyes never leaving his opponent, and soon as the kick was being delivered Taounao and Shenti were both readily in position. Yet somehow the Assassin's eyes lost track of the kick. Indeed the speed with which it had been delivered was unexpected, so that the only option remaining for Delfian was get out of the way. ~Fppt~ With a slight tuft of smoke Delfian was placed out of harm's way on the far corner of the battling platform. His eyes egging Lykourgos on with a "come get me" smile. Shenti and Taonao re-positioned. Delfian would not be forced to move again.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯ Eh. Lykourgos had been confident the kick would connect with the pessimistic person. When his foot met no resistance, as his body had been bracing itself for, his leg continued in the arc and, inevitably, pulled his entire body with him. He tumbled, tripping over himself and stumbling onto the ground. Ahh..tata... that's gonna hurt... Lykourgos groaned, feeling an unpleasent twinge in his ankle. It wasn't twisted, from what he could tell, but the way he landed on it certainly wasn't easy on it. Haha. Guess I messed up there. Lykourgos laughed, kipping back onto his feet and brushing himself off. He looked to Delfian and glanced the man up and down. A part of him taking the time to give a quick analysis. He was standing in the same position as before, as if he had remained statue still. He did move.. he must have. Lykourgos thought, frowning as he tried to remember what happened in that split second. He was sure that Delfian had dodged it, but how he had moved faster than Lykourgos, and retained such a posture, puzzled him. At the same time, it intensified the excitement Lykourgos felt. He had never come across someone, or thing for that matter, that could outdo him in speed. Met my match, have I? Lykourgos mumbled. As he went to regrip the twin weapons and get into position to attack again, a strange feeling overtook him. At first it started out as a tingling sensation, Lykourgos became greatly aware of a gnawing pain that began to grow on not just the inside of his mouth, but what felt all through the inside of his throat and chest. Dropping one of his weapons, a hand went up to clasp his jaw, unconsciously gritting his teeth against the pain and running his tongue over the inside of his mouth to feel if he could remove whatever it was. To his dismay it appeared to be on his tongue too, and swiping at it with his muscle didn't help.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> With such a blank stare Lykourgos opinion of him was obviously not of major importance. Though since the beginning of this fight Delfian's face had hardened toward the kid. There was something about his mind which just seemed a bit... off. As delfian pondered the strange blockage which seemed present inside his mind his body prepaired a dual slashing attack. Without a single twitch preceding the attack Tounau arced forward with lightning speed. Shenti followed suit as the second blade would swoop forward after Delfian's body spun round. Tounau his right hand leading Delfian's attack included two slashes and a full turn of his body making both slashes as each side of his body came to face Lykourgos. Each aimed for the abdomen where the damage would truly be the worst. In sequence with his attacks, Delfians voice for the first time entered Lykourgos' mind. "Loose your focus loose your head Lykourgos." The dark and powerful voice was meant to sound as though it were emanating from everywhere around him at the same time. It was now time for the mind games to start.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯[Okay, that makes a bit more sense.] AHHH 'his hurss! Lykourgos complained, gingerly touching his cheeks and wincing as the pain in his mouth and throat persisted. It was unlike anything he had been subjected to. He had eaten some bad foods, and been left in a multitude of states. And yet, this was possibly something he would consider a nightmare. It felt as if something inside his mouth and stomach was trying to eat it's way out of his body. Food should just be good and stay down! He thought, tearing up a little and wincing at a sharp pang of pain that clearly originated from his stomach. Gah, this'll make fighting a pain. He thought, catching movement from Delfian finally. No sooner had he turned his attention to the man there was a flash of movement, followed by stillness. Did he... A flash of blood, pursued by a stinging sensation. Looking down, he saw that the weapons that Delfian wielded had slashed his chest. He had unconsciously stepped back, unconsciously saving himself from receiving fatal wounds. This was not the only surprise that he got from Delfian, for the voice that sounded off in his head took him most off guard. It was not the voice of an announcer, and yet it did not come from just Delfian's direction. It was as if it were a thought, but it no thought he would think nor in such a tone. But it must be! He thought, his eyes flashing back up to Delfian. He wasn't sure what the man meant by the words, but he would not allow the man to do whatever it was he had planned. Taking a quick step back, a motion that would resemble that to Ginga as seen often in Capoeira, he threw himself forward and began a barrage of attacks; Spinning this way and that way with the Deer Horn Knives flashing through the air, swiping out with his legs in attempts to catch his opponent off guard. He was aware that Delfian would try dodging such attacks, and when such manuveurs were made Lykourgos would react as quick as possible, performing break neck speed turns in hopes of catching Delfian off-guard. He was letting his body move on it's own, letting his senses overwhelm him during this animalistic fighting style. He only did as much because he was nervous. Not nervous because of his opponent, but nervous becauser he could feel something wrong with his body. The pain was just one thing he could ignore, but there was something he could inside of him that wasn't right. A poison? He didn't know, he didn't care, his mind was nothing more than but a rush of emotions and perceptions. It was, in a way, his way of dealing with things until he felt he had a grasp of the situation. Which, ironically, he would be unable to grasp as long he continued his way of doing things.

<<>>The Black Hearted Delfian the Bloodletter<<>> Unexpectedly Lykourgos's reaction was that of animalistic fury and instinctual reaction. Then again, it wasn't that unexpected. Each kick and each punch burrowed the poison deeper and further into his flesh. In order to dodge the slightly shorter arm thrusts which carried with them the bladed knives Delfian took one step back preparing a counter attack knowing that the young man would attempt to close the gap with a sweeping kick, fortunately with the speed of Lycourgo's movements Delfian wouldn't need to swing his sword to inflict any damage. As Lykourgos' leg flashed forth Delfian's sword awaited contact blade set to meet it mid shin. Though this would only account for one of the twin broadswords, the second still ready to defend, and held Horizontally at chest level. Delfian was acquainted with Lykourgo's speed and power and was expecting to deflect and injure the child rather than stop him. As Delfian could tell his mind was blocking out the vast amounts of pain he would be experiencing. The Kick should however have been deflected upward if it made contact, however in the event Lycourgos pauses Delfian would quickly make use of that opportunity.

≮ Lykourgos of the Silver Breeze ≯ Like an animal sensing a nearby trap but being unable to stop himself from stepping into it, Lykourgos threw his body, through sheer willpower, and rather violently to the side in order to stop himself from kicking the blade that awaited his leg to make contact. Landing on the ground, he quickly rolled about and in a second was back on his feet, prepared to strike Deflian once more. He stopped, dropping one of the knives and clutching at his throat. His breathing was becoming steadily more and more difficult to draw in. It was like being trapped in an airlock sealed room with only so much oxygen left. In those moments thoughts of semi-intelligence broke through the animal instincts, worries of food overpowering his innate instincts. At this rate all that free food is lost.
