Inside this large chamber is a platform upon which many battles have been played out. Inside there are only two rules. Kill your opponent before they kill you, and of course no God Modding. I'll be acting referee, and any disputes should be submitted to myself in a PM which states the action and the tournament room number.

To say that Kaiden hadn't been surprised by Jing's instant display of rage would have been a lie. In fact, Kaiden had expected it. It made much more sense to ask Jing to a fight if she was mad at him than if she wasn't. He actually did want to fight her, and wanted to test her strength. The only problem was he wanted her to fight at her best. She might hold back if she wasn't angry with him, not that it was hard for Jing to get angry with Kaiden. Still, Kaiden had been surprised back in the lobby when Jing had suddenly took ahold of him. He had chosen at that time not to react to anything, a rather good trait by him in fact. It wasn't until she was gone that he had actually, surprisingly, cracked a smile as he followed after her. He sense this fight would be much more entertaining than their fight when she had been drunk. At least now she might be able to follow his movement, and then break him like a twig of course.

Kaiden found himself coming into the room marked with a two before rubbing his head lightly. Well, this should be interesting to say the least. After all, Jing was by far much stronger than he was. At the same time though, Jing hadn't seen much of Kaiden's skill in their previous fight. He had spent most of his time avoiding her rather than fighting her. Now, it was a fight and that changed everything. 'Should be interesting.' Kaiden thought to himself as he undid the clasp that held his cloak around his neck. He could always try his trick from before against Jing with disappearing from the cloak at the last second, but that might also get him hurt if she remembered it clearly enough. So, Kaiden threw the cloak to the side as he pulled his eye cover, an actual eye-patch this time, from his eye and threw it aside as well. He would get them later if time permitted.

"And now, the fun begins." Kaiden said, finally turning his attention to Jang as his right hand dropped onto the black sheathed sword on his back waist. His second sword was there as well, similarly black but with an almost redish hint to it. He doubted he would need the second sword, but with Jing Kaiden couldn't be sure. She might be much more competent than he had originally thought, and if that was the case quite a few thign would have to change if he expected to fight her and not be broken into tiny little pieces.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

Grasping her belt she undid the clasp, pulling both it and her sword off. Though a useful weapon, she found, she had no real training with a sword. Her experience in the desert with Jang was enough to tell her that by swinging it around she was more likely to break it trying to hit her opponent than actually dealing damage. Kaiden himself seemed proficient in swords, which made her uncomfortable with going against him in his at his own speciality.
Jing was not a weapons person, as has been witnessed in the past, but an unarmed combat specialist. Not that she knew a multitude, or any, martial arts. But when one grows up from a babe in the mountains, and with Lykourgos as a father, one begins developing techniques that prove useful. Against smaller animals, or even some large, all it usually took was a well aimed strike to the neck or head. In cases where a bear was on the menu, it was not always so simple. The bears in the mountains were large, and vicious. Even for Jing, attacking a bear head-on would have been like asking it to dinner. She would have been mauled before she landed the hit. Because of that she was put on "restraining duty", holding it as still as possible while Lykourgos gave it a lethal bite. It should be said, for the sake of Kaiden who brought this mess upon himself, that Jing once threw a small female bear two meters (think brown bear).

Flexing her fingers, Jing reached into the pockets of her coat and pulled out two seemingly simple leather gloves. They were, to be specific, Cestus. Slipping them on, she flexed her fingers once more to feel how they would affect her grabbing abilities. Good. She thought, feeling little restriction.
Undoing the coat, she tossed this to the side. She did not wish to have any of her movements restricted, and though it would be leaving her body unprotected against his blades it also meant she would likely be able to get him to draw closer to her.

For me. Jing muttered, catching Kaiden's words. It seemed, she realized, that he had purposely taunted her in order to get her out into the tournament room. Even though she had realized, it didn't change the fact she was still furious by his taunts and still quite wished to use him as a ragdoll.
Needless to say, at this point, she was ready to begin the match. The arena was on an elevated platform, shaped like a large square that would give plenty of movement, and though the sun beat down on Jing it was not so unbearable she would be unable to fight at her highest potential. Just don't forget you brought this upon yourself. She called, taking note that he already had his hand on his sword.

So now Kaiden was standing and facing a very angry Jing armed with a cestus. That was an odd weapon of choice in Kaiden's mind for good reasons, the most important being that she couldn't block his sword with those leather gloves. One connected swing from him, and this fight would be over. The gloves didn't even appear to have metal on them at all, so what she expected to do with them was lost to him. She looked like she was expecting to fight in a hand to hand battle, in which cause, she'd come to the wrong fight. "Don't get too rash, you'll get yourself killed. Allow me to point out though, that glove isn't going to protect you from my sword." Kaiden warned. She would have noticed though, she wasn't stupid.

Kaiden also realized she had probably chosen to not use her sword simply because Kaiden was a swordmaster, in a way. He had spent much of his life learning to weild that blade like an expect. He probably couldn't have taken on a true swordmaster, one who had dedicated their life to the blade, but he could have given them a challenge with all he knew. This was not the time for idle thinking though, the announcer had already said go, and Kaiden still hadn't moved from his spot. Realizing this, Kaiden let out a sigh. "I suppose I should begin this..."

Kaiden slowly brought his free hand up to his necklace and closed his hand around it. Slowly the shadows at his feet seemed to creep up his leg. What was going on was simple enough, he was bypassing the necklace's sealing property without undoing the seal. he had to focus to do it though, not that it mattered as the shadows at his feet suddenly launched up around him, Kaiden being lost in the shadows as his hand started to pull his katana like sword from it's sheath. And then he was behind Jing, the only warning being his sword clicking faintly as it left its sheath, the blade being thrust backwards at Jing with Kaiden being to lazy in appearence to actually turn to face Jing. He had used shadows to actually make it appear as though he had teleported. In actuality, he had actually took several running steps towards Jing before jumping, landing behind her. He had done so using the shadow as a disguise though. It wasn't a bad plan at all.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

Jing had a reason for not being afraid for going up against a sword with her gloved hands. She had learned in combat, and through Lykourgos' lessons, that as long as she could greet an object moving at her with an even greater force that she would not only be able to stop it, but would likely be able to push it back. She wasn't too sure just how swift and how much force the blades would carry when swung at her, but she reckoned, hoped, that as long as she struck out with her fist tightened and allowed her strength to burst the moment her fist came into contact with the weapon that she would be able to stop it while taking little, if no, damage. This she had yet to test in real combat, against a blade at least, but felt she would be more than able to. Besides, even if she could not stop the blade, there were other ways to diverge it from it's course.

The moment the battle was announced to officially begin, Jing closed her mind off to all that did not pertain to the battle. Thoughts of useless things were shunned out of her head. Her senses, although sharp enough as they were, were focused on so to enchance her abilities to react. She took in everything that seemed important. She listened for the sounds of movements around her that were not her own. She watched Kaiden and everything little thing that happened around him. She sniffed at the air for the smell of metal. And of course, she prepared herself for the inevitable feel of the blade.

It was because of this she had seen through the clever, and well performed, trick he had attempted with her. Had she not focused on her senses, she would not have heard the sound of his footsteps as he ran, nor would she had taken notice of a slight breeze that brushed past her. So, even though he had stepped behind her, blade drawn, she was fully aware of an attack. How and where it was to come she did not know, but she would soon find out.

Standing still, even though Kaiden was behind her, she waited for the attack likely to come. The moment something prodded at her back, she whirled about, pivoting on her heel in a direction that would cause the blade to pierce air. It had knicked her, no doubt about that, but she had moved as soon as she felt it, allowing only minimal damage. Now, she was facing Kaiden's side, and while he had foolishly attacked her lazily he had given her a chance to attack. She was not passing it up. Not stopping, her hands shot forward, one grasping the wrist that held his weapon, so he would not be able to attack once more, while her other hand grasped the collar of his garments once more. Fool. She allowed herself to say, her feet flying in a position to give herself a steady base. In a matter of three seconds, if that, she had avoided his attack, taken hold of him, and with a surge of power thrown him in a half spin toss to the spot he had stood before his sneak attack.
Even if he told her not to do anything rash, she was far from that. She was no longer under the influence of the strong alcohal, and therefore thinking clear and with complete focus.

So maybe Kaiden was missing something here, but he didn't think it really mattered. If Jing thought she could stop his blade then more power to her. As for as Kaiden knew, the pressure that would be created by her blocking his sword with her hand, regardless of the force she pushed out, should be enough to cut her even if she did block. Kaiden wasn't going to make this comment of course, he wanted to see just what she could do anyways. The only problem was that Kaiden forgot the most important thing about hand to hand fighting, you had the advantage when you were close. Kaiden quickly remembered this though as he felt Jing's hand close on his wrist. Well, he hadn't expected her to take ahold of him, but he might as well just let that thought go. What was the worst she could do anyways? A lot apparently.

The next thing Kaiden knew, Jing had ahold of the collar of his shirt and was throwing him through the air. Kaiden blinked as he realized he was airborne before twisting in the air and landing soundly on his feet, though he did slide about a foot before coming to a stop in a kneeling position. His hands were empty though, so where was his sword? With a thunk' the blade stuck in the ground next to him as he slowly stood up and sighed lightly. "Jing, throwing me isn't going to do much unless you smash me into the ground." Kaiden explained as he quickly pulled his sword free from the ground next to him. He had to be honest, Jing was fast and strong. Her strength was what worried him though, not her speed. He could see he might be able to beat her in speed if he removed the seal from his necklace, however what fun would that be? Jing was much more of a challenge this way, and she was much more likely to break him into tiny pieces.

Kaiden looked at his blade for a moment before frowning lightly as he turned to be facing Jing slightly sideways as he flicked his blade out at his side. Slowly he raised his left hand, the hand facing Jing, before giving her a motion to come. He was telling her to attack him, because he knew charging Jing would be like charging a bear. The bear would win, clearly. However, Kaiden wanted to see how offensive Jing could be. He was more defensive than offensive anyways, though he somehow managed to intermix the two all the time which created his style of fighting.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

Ah. She hadn't meant to do that, and though she could hear Kaiden landing safely she was looking down at her hands, flexing them. Had she been in an enviroment with trees, the impact likely would have broken a bone had she launched him at one. Broken a few bones, in fact, and had his head hit the trunk a concussion was likely. Her body had reacted as if she were still in the forest, which was why even at the bar, rather than throwing them down she threw them away from herself. In a place with snow on the ground, throwing a wolf, or a deer downwards would do little but make getting up difficult.

Slam him. She told herself, positioning herself so she was facing him. He hadn't moved, despite having been standing long enough to have crossed the distance and attacked her. Planning. She guessed, staring back at him as she thought out the possible things that could happen. After a moment however she stopped, finding she was unable to comprehend anything. He wasn't a bandit, nor a drunken man so she couldn't try to use them to compare his fighting style. Yet he wasn't a mountain animal, so she was unable to compare their patterns to his. Least to say, she was fighting him in the dark. What she could guess, from his motion to her, was that he expected her to charge him.

Inhaling slowly, and exhaling calmly, she decided to do something unorthodox. Walk. She considered charging him, but from his stance it was clear to her doing as much would be foolish. True if she were to walk close enough she could charge the last several feet, but still yet that seemed like a bad idea. In terms of speed she was not poor, what with having Lykourgos who expeted her to be able to at least keep up with him while moving at a minimal speed. Something that even today would have exhausted her. But how must faster than Kaiden was to herself she could not guess. Likely faster, but we'll see. She was now only several meters away from him, and being so short a distance she decided to quit the slow movement and rush him. Fists held before her, prepared to knock away any oncoming blades so she could get close, she went for a frontal assault, wanting to see how he reacted.

Well, Jing seemed to realize that throwing him wasn't going to work shortly before he had told her so. He watched her almost with a bored look as she slowly started to come towards him, walking. He really found this an odd thing to do, but he wasn't stupid enough to believe Jing would approach him at that pace the entire way. She was wrong about one thing though, Kaiden wasn't planning anything. He was simply standing there, doing nothing. If he was planning something, then he might have actually been coming up with an idea of how to dodge Jing when she did charge him, however he didn't. He didn't see a point in it with Jing's close range fighting style. She could change a motion in a second, so developing a plan really seemed pointless unless he could rule out every action she could perform, which would take a little bit longer than he liked.

"Hm, what are you up to." Kaiden thought aloud, though he whispered it to himself. Jing was getting close at this point, but she hadn't tensed up at all. On that same thought, neither had Kaiden. His stance was still loose rather than constrained. He was waiting for her move, no matter what it would be. Sure enough, as he had expected, she waited until she was mere meters away from him before suddenly charging at him. Kaiden smirked lightly as he saw Jing's rush forward, but he didn't move until she was literally within arms reach, and then his movement was very simple. Kaiden moved a step back from Jing as he changed sides so that his right side, with the blade in his hand, was facing Jing. Then came his attack.

Kaiden flipped his blade in his hand so that it was in a dagger position, that being with the back of the sword resting against his arm as he moved forward, meeting Jing without pause as he brought the sword up. At the same time though, his left hand flew under the blade as Kaiden stepped into the swing, his fist aimed for Jing's stomach. If she was too preoccupied by his sword to notice the swing then he had no doubt it would collide, however he was no where near as strong as Jing so the most he could expect to happen would be for her to maybe have the breath knocked out of her. She wouldn't be pushed away from him unlike what would happen if Jing punched him.

She continued her approach, ready to strike out, but holding back. She was waiting for his reaction, to see how he would act against her rush. Sure enough he did, and as she drew close he acted as she thought he would, and though the counterattack was swift, it was expected and she was prepared to stop it. Even as she drew close, fists raised as if to attack, her hands loosened open ready to grab at him again as she had before. The reason they opened was because the sword, which had he swung at her normally with, would have sliced through the glove before it stopped. If anything, but punching it and moving against it she would increase the cutting capablities, and would have likely lost some fingers. So, rather than try to stop the blade, she decided to follow through with the next best option. Grab the thing controlling it.

Her own left hand flying out and grasping his wrist, she stopped the blade from coming any closer, having just done so in time before it reached her. Her other hand reached forward to grasp the front of his torso once more. This time, she would be prepared to slam him. Or so she thought, but as she got a grip and prepare to lift him something connected with her abdomen. Gkuh! A sharp breath of air escaped her mouth, her grip weakening instantly. She looked down to see that he had punched her in the stomach. How did I miss that. She thought, attempting to regain her breath quickly. As she did, she spun herself about and tossed Kaiden away from her once more. This time intentionally, so to give her enough time to catch her breath and prepare for the next attack.

Cheap. She growled, positioning herself defensively. Her left hand was raised before her, her body turned slightly sideways and right hand gently placed against her stomach to feel if there was any real damage. As unlikely as it was, it was best to check anyways. Just winded me. She concluded, dropping her hand away from her stomach. Shifting out of a defensive stance, she went into a neutral one. Legs spread shoulder length apart, she left her arms to dangle at her sides. She had a reason for positioning herself this way.

A neutral stance has many advantages. The major one, and one most easily notable, is that like this one is unable to tell just how one is to attack. Better yet if the person was going to attack at all. Jing, under Lykourgos' tutelage, had learned to mute her killing intent. Doing as much made it easier to hunt without alerting prey as to their whereabouts and intentions.
While in Kilawli Jing learned that the training could be applied to humanoids as well, and when against those who are unable to determine how their opponent will come at them can be nerve wracking.
She doubted Kaiden would lose his edge just because she went into a neutral stance, but just the same she didn't wish to give herself away. Improv time. She told herself, focusing her senses once more on the battle.

Kaiden had been a bit concerned when he felt Jing's hand close around his right wrist, stopping him from swinging his blade all the way at her. That was fine, as he noticed she wasn't moving to stop his left hand. It still didn't help his nerves that she had ahold of him again. The more Jing got ahold of him the more likely she was to slam him into the ground, and that could end a fight in a second if she did it right. It was still surprising to Kaiden to see Jing lose her breath at his punch. He had half expected her inhuman strength to transfer throughout her entire body, which would have made his punch worthless. After all, if he were to collide fists with Jing she would no doubt snap his wrist, breaking it rather easily.

And once again, Kaiden found himself airborne as he was tossed away yet again. Kaiden flipped in the air and landing on his feet again, but this time he was frowning. This fight was going on rather uneventful. He and Jing couldn't actually hurt one another because they were both going about this with surprising ease. Their fighting styles were so different, and yet both of them were clearly skilled at defending themselves. Kaiden couldn't hit her with his sword, and she had yet to be able to slam him into the ground. If either one managed to land a blow like that, the fight would be over, most likely. "Hardly cheap. I'm only using one sword, it's logical to use my left hand in a fight as well." Kaiden said with a light shrug. He usually didn't fight like that though, even though it clearly could work. In Jing's case it was an excellent idea, however Kaiden didn't have the strength to fight like that.

Kaiden slowly sheathed his sword as Jing suddenly took a neutral stance. That was a dangerous stance for an attacker, as she could easily read what an attacker would do and adjust to it before an attacker could. Kaiden slowly brought his hand up to his necklace as he watched Jing carefully. A faint light flashed there for a moment before it disappeared. "I'm going to try to make this a bit more interesting, if you don't mind." Kaiden said lightly as darkness appeared to start covering the lower portion of his body, moving upward. Kaiden slowly dropped his hand away from the necklace as the darkness snuck up his body, forming what appeared to be a tail and then ears on his head. The shadows slowly cleared away leaving cat ears and a tail as he watched Jing. Oddly, Kaiden's left eye did not change to a yellow color like one would expect, instead it remained it's dark blue.

Kaiden's hand droped back down to his sword before he crouched slightly. Suddenly he was in motion, covering the distance between him and Jing in only three steps and about a second, his blade flashing out from it's sheath on the second step. The blade had darkened a great deal, giving it more of a shadowy appearance than it had look earlier with it's normal metal blade. Kaiden's blade came up at Jing, however the blade never cut her. Instead, Kaiden sidestepped suddenly only a yard from Jing putting him almost at her side. Then his blade cut inward in a thrust at Jing, the blade aimed carefully for her side.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

Whether or not that it was Kaiden's style, now that she had been through the experience once Jing was not likely to let herself be subjected to it again. At this rate, the more times Jing got ahold of Kaiden the lower the possibility he was going to keep getting himself lightly tossed around. Jing was used to pain, she had allowed herself to be bitten by a wolf and even take a blow from charge of moose in order to get close. As long as Kaiden didn't go for a killing blow, she was determined, now, to make her next grab be the last.

She watched with cool eyes, her mind calming itself in her stanceless position, and she looked onward and observed that Kaiden had resheathed his sword. It seemed like a foolish thing for him to do, as anyone in unarmed combat against Jing was bound to meet the ground quickly lest they had some technique or ability that gave them an edge against her. Other than Kaiden's speed, she could not imagine anything.
That was until he reached up to take hold of his necklace, her eyes catching the light that reacted with his touch even if only for that one moment. His words meant little to her, merely a distraction in her mind, and she watched, her body growing more tense, as something strange began to happen to Kaiden.

Darkness. She thought, recalling what had happened earlier when he attempted to side-blind her. Yet he did not appear to be doing the same thing as before, rather the darkness seemed to be washing over him, changing his appearance and giving him a more feline appearance. Or rather, he looked more like his race than what before. He is a cat. A fleeting thought, and one that caused the woman to smirk briefly.
When Kaiden took out his sword and crouched, Jing tensed once more, prepared for an attack. Or so she thought, blinking but once before Kaiden had practically flown the space between them, sword already in motion. Despite the speed at which it moved, she had noted that it too had changed, and with it a instinctual foreboding telling her that it was not be so easy to deal with as before. To her, it looked that if she made any attempt to touch or grab it she would find that he hand would pass through it.
A quick thought, hands shooting forward to take hold of him, attempting to grab his wrist and put an immediate stop to the weapon before it found its target. Yet when she moved, Kaiden was no longer that. Fast. She thought, whirling around, brown hair whipping at her sudden movement as she turned to face Kaiden once more. He was not on par of Lykourgos, as she had seen Kaiden's movement, but it did not make her feel any easier about the matter.

The turn had, ironically, turned out to be a bad decision. Had she rolled forward, rather than done what she did, she would he dodged the thrust. The blade, as she felt, had found its way into her, the weapon more than glancing her side, stabbing her just below the ribs. The pain made her wince, but it also made her actions sharper, and with his weapon lodged, well stuck into her, she grabbed his wrist, as it was close, closed her hand into a fist, and threw a punch towards his stomach.

{{Ooc:// If you want me to edit, just tell me. I did explain how he escaped her grasp, but if you'd prefer it he didn't, I can fix that XD}}

Ok, so Kaiden had missed that Jing found amusement out of seeing him change into having his ears and tail, but it didn't matter. It wouldn't have changed his action, nor would it have even paused him for a second. The only thing that did surprise him was that she, instead of trying to dodge, had actually initially started to try to grapple him before he could hit, of course his movement had made that impossible though. Or so he thought! If Jing had tried to take a hold of Kaiden's blade, she would have found she could. The blade was certainly still solid, even though it had grown darker with the effects of shadows. It was good for Kaiden that Jing didn't know that though, otherwise he might not have hit her at all, even though his surprise at having hit her was astounding.

Kaiden couldn't believe Jing had actually turned into his swing, thus getting his sword deep in her, just below her ribs. That was obviously going to hurt, but not as much as what Kaiden had to contend with. Jing had taken ahold of his wrist, meaning he couldn't well defend himself as she swung at him. If she hit, he knew she'd likely break something, it didn't really matter what to him. Kaiden brought his left arm up and blocked her swing with his forearm, a not so pleasant snap could be heard from his action. Kaiden let out a grunt of pain as he pulled his sword free from Jing and jumped backwards, clearly in pain from the look on his face. He actually dropped his sword on the ground as he went, moving his right hand over to his left forearm, holding it as he watched Jing.

"Well played, you broke my arm." Kaiden said with some surprising humor on his face, a small smile. The shadow at his feet slowly crawled up to his left arm and slowly went around his forearm, clearly acting as a brace for the broken arm. Kaiden slowly let his arm drop to his side with a wince, clearly still in pain from the broken arm even though he did have it stable now. "You done? Are do you plan to keep going?" Kaiden asked as he dropped his unbroken arm down to his second sword. The shadow one lay between him and Jing, and he had no intentions of going to get it. He couldn't use two swords now anyways, or at least it was more than likely he couldn't. He could probably use his left arm so long as the brace kept his arm completely supported as though his bone was still attached, however the pain would likely be enough to make that impossible. It was much smarter to just deal with things the way they where.

So how long could Kaiden last with a broken arm? Every movement would cause pain, and likely make his arm worse. It wasn't just that though, the more he was forced to use that arm the more likely he was to pass out from pain. A broken arm caused a lot of pain, and with time it could only get worse. It was possible for him to pass out due to the pain, he was still human, or relatively, after all. What about Jing though? Her wound wasn't particularly pretty either. Both where hurt rather badly, though Jing was going to lose blood much fast than what Kaiden was. So here was a good question, how had he escaped Jing's grasp? If Jing looked down at her hand, she could likely see little trails of shadow matter still lazily hanging there, disintigrating slowly. Shadows had allowed him to pull himself to safety, though who knew how safe that actually was.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

[Nah, I saw nothing wrong with it... I think.. well, his breaking of the arm seemed fair enough, I just hope --coughcoughliescoughcough-- he can keep up... or last until Jing loses enough blood. >D]

Jing's face twisted into a grimace as she felt the weapon move at the slightest movements. She was thankful towards herself for not attempting to swing or toss Kaiden suddenly or in a manner that would force the blade to remain stuck within her, but turn at uncomfortable, and likely to be even more painful, angles. Being stabbed was enough. Yet in the second that it had taken for her fist to strike Kaiden she found herself regretting her decision. What she wanted most right now was to remove the blade and see to it that she did not bleed herself to death, or have trouble controlling her consciousness. Which would not be easy in the midst of battle, but a split second fear struck her mind at the thought of the blade causing even more damage on its exit.

Jing's grimace contorted even more, the weapon being suddenly pulled from her, but she found it was a clean and quick removal. Organs. She worried, the hand that had gripped Kaiden falling down to the wound and pressing her hand against it, hoping to stop the blood flow. She had witnessed his attempt to defend, as foolish as it was, and though she would have sympathized with him for the pain of his now broken arm, he had stuck a sword into her. She was not in a pitying mood.
The sword, not far from her, she stepped forward and with one well aimed kick to the butt of the pommel sent it flying anywhere but near Kaiden. Steelblue eyes watching him, she began walking backwards. One might have thought her movements that of a retreat, but she knew what lay behind her. The coat and sword.

She delayed her answer to Kaiden, having heard it, and though she continued to watch him she stooped down, the back of her heel connecting with something tough but loose. The coat she barely hesitated to rip, tearing it, eyes still focused on Kaiden, and quickly did her best to wrap bandage the wound. This won't last. She told herself, not knowing how much damage the weapon had done. The pain was tolerable, she had certainly felt worst, but blood loss would be a problem. How long before my control falters? She wondered, in the back of her mind intending to continue this battle.

And you stabbed me. She finally replied, staring back at Kaiden with a passive expression, though a glint of deviance shown in her eyes. Yet I don't feel satisfied. Ignoring the wound, Jing wanted to press onward. It wasn't often she found someone, not that she ever looked nor had the chance, who could push her as Kaiden had. In a way, she hoped that he would prove much more of a challange, that maybe by fighting him she may feel the satisfaction of an equal.
This, of course, was only what she was beginning to feel now. Her earlier emotions to his taunts had faded in the battle, and with them her safety. So don't think about resting. As she spoke, her eyes began to faintly glow, flickering several times before returning to it's original blue tone.

Raising the blood soaked gloved-hand, Jing removed the glove. As it was now, it would make grasping Kaiden difficult, the blood likely to be slippery and give little friction or grip to her grasp. This one she tossed, but the other remained on. Finished with the action, Jing inhaled deeply, exhaling a moment later. Here I come. At the thought, the glow returned.
Pulling her leg back, Jing brought it forward, suddenly, performing what would be quite a fatal kick to any mortal being who tried to take it on. Yet Kaiden was off a way, no where near her, so to anyone watching the motion it might look at useless as could be. It was not Kaiden she was aiming for.

With the sound of the earth cracking from sudden impact, her leg ripped through the arena ground like a pair of scissors through paper. The amount of strength and force she had put behind the kick proving too much for the tournament's floor, resulting in minimal, so to speak, destruction. When her leg exitted on the other side, raised straight as if she had kicked a ball into the air. Yet with the movement, chunks and shrapnel of what she had just obliterated shot forward like arrows, stone ranging from the size of peas to heads on a trajectory path towards Kaiden.
Yet done she was not, for as soon as she finished up with the kick, she spun about, continuing the momentum so she did a full spin before stopping in a kneeling position, and struck at the ground with a fist, destroying even more of the flooring. With a handful of rocks, which she crushed to smaller sizes for better throwing, she immediately dashed to the left, throwing the rocks and stones at Kaiden with such strength those that missed, as she assumed many would, would cause quiet craters upon impact of their destination.

{{Ooc:// That was a longer one. }}

So what did Kaiden want Jing to say? He wanted her to say she was done, that her wound was more than enough to put a stop to the fight. Kaiden didn't want to continue fighting either, his arm was in bad shape as it was. Fighting Jing was just stupid, she could break him like a twig, which was clearly possible after her quick display on his arm, though she hadn't intended to do that. That had partially been his fault. Kaiden barely recognized that Jing was stepping away from him, in fact he wasn't even watching her. He was looking at his arm moving it slowly. It hurt, but he would live. If he passed out, that would be bad. He would hope though that Jing would simply stop fighting rather than kill him. She didn't seem like someone to kill someone why they were out cold, but maybe. He didn't really know.

Kaiden looked up to the sight of Jing wrapping her wound with her jacket, or a rip from it anyways. Kaiden couldn't hold back a faint grin as Jing mentioned him stabbing her. "That wasn't my fault, that was yours. It wouldn't have been so bad had not someone stepped into by attack." Kaiden pointed out, without much reason. She had already stated she wanted to go on. He did notice the glow to her eyes, but his expression nor his stance didn't change. He seemed calm and collected, even with a broken arm. Kaiden really wanted to go get his arm checked, but if she wanted to continue, more power to her. To prove this, Kaiden tightened his grip on his sword causing the sheath to light up with symbols of red. She had kicked his sword away, the blade having actually stuck in the wall. That was likely to be annoying to get out, but whatever. Kaiden would worry about that later. He had his other sword still after all.

The glow returned suddenly as Jing kicked forward suddenly, though for what reason Kaiden didn't know... for about a second. The ground, much to Kaiden's surprise, suddenly ripped up as chunks of earth launched themselves at him at a speed equivalent to an arrow from a bow. If those hit, particularly the big ones, Kaiden had little doubt the pain in his arm would be much of a problem. That was why Kaiden rippd his sword from it's sheath, a flash of what appeared to be red before suddenly the blade exploded in fire as Kaiden brought it forward, swinging the blade quickly as he lunged to the side. He knew he couldn't block everything, so it was smarter to dodge and block. It was safer that way.

The flame on Kaiden's sword was clearly hot, uncontrollable hot. That was just it though, Jing would know Kaiden couldn't control fire. He was using a fire elemental blade though, meaning he had no control over the fire from the blade. It wasn't a uniform fire burning on the blade, it was a blaze. He couldn't control it, but lucky for him the fire was still contained by the sword itself. If it hadn't, he'd have already been burned to a crisp. That was why Jing might have noticed right away that some of her smaller stones she had thrown had ceased to exist, the flames causing them to disintegrate. As for the larger ones, well that was why Kaiden was moving sideways.

Kaiden had managed to avoid the hail storm of rocks that had been sent at him via Jing's kick, however her throwing was a different story. Kaiden managed to pull his head out of the way of one just to hear it smash, and embed itself, in the wall behind him. Kaiden frowned as he quickly brought the blade forward catching one rock and sending it to the side, though from the way Kaiden's arm bent at the elbow from the impact it was clear he was thinking twice about blocking the rocks. So what could he do? Well, standing around and playing dodge ball wasn't the answer.

"Freaking rocks." Kaiden mumbled as he suddenly planted his feet and lunged forward, in the direction of Jing. One of her rocks nicked the side of his face drawing blood, but he didn't even hesitate as he continued forward. He was fast, fast enough to make it hard for Jing to throw a second rock in that second or two interval that it had taken for him to get to her. Still, it was in her hand. Kaiden brought his balde up without warning, the fires scorching the floor to a black as it suddenly lashed out at Jing. It was as though the fire knew she was there. Kaiden quickly planted his feet and dodged to the side though, all to aware that being close to Jing was also deadly. At a range and up close, Jing could cause serious damage with her strength. Kaiden did not want to break anything else after having broken his arm.

Jing of the Ellian Mountains

User Image

[-chuckle-]

The raging flames that erupted from the blade caused Jing to stop, her eyes transfixed on the fire. Never had she seen, just as she had never glimpsed upon an ocean of sea water and sand, she had never seen such a horrific amount of fire. Even from here she could already feel the heat, sweat breaking out across her body and an internal urge to shy away from it nearly making her step back completely. Fire was warm, it was what kept her body from freezing when in the mountains, but it was also hot, and had as voracious an appetite as a bear out of hibernation. Times a lot.
It was an unexpected move on Kaiden's part, and whether or not he knew of her fear for flames --being only able to stand quiet flames of a camp or cave fire-- he had made quite the right decision in drawing the blade.

She blinked, and in the time it took for her to gulp and recover her senses Kaiden was upon her, the sword with its flames so close she felt as if her body itself were already on fire. Adrenaline kicked in, and she kicked back away from him and the weapon, eyes fixated on it and mind screaming at her to get away from it. Jing's mind was reeling with images and thoughts, and, without a doubt, emotions. She had paled considerably, even more than what she already was, and she was drenched with sweat. Her hands opened and closed unconsciously, while her legs continued to shuffle backwards as she moved farther away from the weapon. Need to take care of. For a second Jing's logical mind resurfaced, but the sight of it's scorch mark across the floor returned Jing to her previous state.

Stay back! She barked at Kaiden, having come to a stop, legs feeling like jelly beneath her. Her hands were now tightly clenched into fists, her nails digging so deeply into her skin she was drawing blood. The pain she did not feel, her full focus on the flames and the distance she wanted to maintain between her and them. At this point, if the battle continued on Jing would be forced to withdraw. Just like Lykourgos, when pushed into a corner she went into a frenzy where her senses and instincts took over. Yet it also meant her emotions would peak, meaning in this state it would further make things impossible to continue.
With that weapon drawn, Jing had no hope --or even will at this point-- of winning. Already he had proved to overcome her barrage of rocks, and if she were to try to deal a blow against him it would mean drawing close to him and... the thing in his hand. As Jing's mind resurfaced, she found nothing seemed proper. I surrender... She muttered, voice strained as she said the two words. Despite herself, tears of frustration swelling up. I forfeit! She shouted, glaring at Kaiden through moist eyes. Just... put that thing away!

Without waiting to hear the disembodied voice announce Kaiden's victory, or to see Kaiden's reaction or actions, Jing stormed out of the room, leaving behind her own weapon, the glove, and shreads of her coat. Along the way, leaving a path of destruction that one would find led to the lobby...
