 Wondering around the river Viper was enjoying the sunny day.Huffing she let the sun beat down upon her bat like wings and on her scales.Viper's eyes drifted and noticed some mud near the river that looked refreshing.Running towards in Viper slid and fell into the mud.Laughing her body was covered in the mud.Viper started to roll in it,she loved the mud.But her thoughts slowly drifted off into thinking of that little flutter she had met her first couple days here.Laying there relaxing the mud started to dry upon her scales and wings.Staring up at the sky her eyes closed and she had fallen asleep.She didn't realize that she had fallen asleep in the beating sun,it was just so soothing to her now muddied body.

 Aki grinned as he spotted the tri-coloured mare. Sure, at first she was a bit alarming to some of his stature, but Viper was very friendly and didn't look down on him for being a male flutter. He loved it, however, he never saw it as a great thing- how could he protect a mate if he was so small? Looking at the kalona/kirin hybrid, he resisted the urge to snort. She was covered in mud, and it was quite the site to see. On the upside, it'd be easy to clean off than if she'd been a full kirin. Shaking his head of his random thoughts, Akili flew closer to his partner. Landing close by, he tilted his head, unsure of whether he wanted to wake her.
"Viper...?" He settled on speaking softly, seeing if she was possibly snoozing lightly. He looked around, seeing his father and sister not too far off. Seeing the two made him smile; he was his dad's first son, and his sister was his smallest sibling.

Viper's ears twitched as she heard that small voice echo within her ear lobes.Keeping her eyes closed she took her tail and wrapped it around his front leg."Yes Aki..?"She spoke softly back to him.Viper didn't mind that he was smaller than her,or even smaller than an average pony,he loved her that was all that mattered.Slowly setting herself upon her tummy she looked up at him.Noticing out of the corner of her eye two other small flutters that looked similar to Aki."Your family?"She questioned as she yawned.

Feeling her tail wrap around his leg, he gave a small smile. Watching her opening her white eyes made his smile grow larger. Upon hearing his voice, he gave a brief nod.
"Yeah...Kai, and my dad" His voice had a hint of laughter to it, having just seen Viper yawning. "Kai's my youngest sister, and sibling...she's also the smallest of us" He looked out at them once more, a fond smile on his face. Turning back to Viper, he gave her a light smirk.
"Sleep well, sleeping beauty?"

Viper nodded."Kai,she seems cute."Laying upon her stomach she looked up at Aki,nipping at him for laughing at her she glared at him.Huffing and giving a slight smile she looked to his peaceful family once more."Whats your fathers name?Do they know I exist yet?"Hitting him with her wing for the 'sleeping beauty' comment she stood slowly.Stretching her legs and wings out fully she just looked down at him."How many other siblings do you have?"

"Kai is adorable...and my dad is named Zakaili...he tends to go by Zaka, though." He looked over at her and laughed as he got whacked with her wing.
"Abuse isn't nice, you know...and, no...they probably aren't aware that you exist yet. I haven't really spoken with them...we've all been busy. As for my other siblings-" Just as he was starting to share about his family, he was abruptly cut off. Unbeknown to him, Kai had crept up behind him with a grin.
"There's Akili, Athosia, Nikolai, Torren John, Teykali, Davos, and myself...our parents had three breedings, mine had three. Athosia and I are the only females, I'm the smallest, Aki's the first male...but he's pretty small, too..." Kai spoke quickly, hardly taking time to breathe. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at her brother, before turning to the mare.
"So...who're you? I usually know everything about Aki, but we haven't had time to catch up..." Kai was constantly asking questions, eager to learn more. She turned to look at the mare, only then realizing just how big she was next to Aki and herself. A small "whoa" escaped from her mouth, as her eyes widened marginally at the size difference. "You'll have to forgive Kai...she can be a chatter box." Zakaili approached the small group, keeping up with his daughter, while curious about the mare with his son.

Viper laughed and stuck out her tongue at him."Thats what you get."Listening she nodded,then noticed the mare that interrupted him.It was his younger sister who had started to speak."...."She wasn't able to get a single word in.Kai had kept talking.Blushing a bit she looked at herself,Kai had been probably admiring her abnormally large self.Hearing the other stallion she blinked."Its quite alright really."Smiling she started to respond to Kai's questions."I'm Viper,Maybe you should catch up to him.He has quite a story to tell I assume."She nudged Aki and smiled.Viper noticed that Zaka had this vibe coming off him that she didn't seem to understand,a vibe like he was unstable of her being.

Aki snorted. Kai was quite the rocket when she took off speaking. He shook his head lightly, while rolling his eyes at his dad.
The patriarch of the family gave a snort, as his son rolled his eyes, while giving him a look that clearly said 'don't laugh at your sister'...with a smile tugging at his lips.
Kai stomped a hoof rather daintily, though it was meant in annoyance at her brother.
"It's nice to meet you, Viper! And yes...apparently I should catch up with Mr. Rude over here." She gave a light-hearted glare to her brother.
Zaka shook his head at the antics of his two kids.
"Viper, it's a pleasure to meet you. I hope my son has remembered his manners? If not, feel free to whack him upside the head..." He gave the mare a grin
Shaking his head once more, Aki sighed over-dramatically.
"And this is part of my family...are you sure you wanted to meet them? Honestly, they're not that great..." He laughed lightly, stepping to the side as Kai tried to n** him.
"Rude..."

"...Cute..."Viper raised a brow at Kai and snorted."pleasure...You know he isn't quite that rude.."She was starting to get angry at calling her Aki those harsh names."I will not hit him over the head,He's been a very nice gentlemen to me lately."Ears purking up to Aki talking she smiled."Well they are nice.But i think they could be a little nicer,or maybe you just need to respect your family."She giggled and looked at the three of them.

Aki snorted, and tossed his head a bit.
"Kai knows I'm not that rude...however, I've given her hell, and so it's a slight joke between us. We were raised right." It was true, Aki had teased Kai as she grew up, which led to the mare calling her brother rude on a frequent basis, though she'd very rarely meant it.
"Eh...he just needs to respect the family..." The mare gave her older brother a grin, before turning back to Viper. "In all seriousness, we're a close family. Aki was raised right...like he said, it's just our way of joking with each other. Odd quirks, and all..." She really hoped that the mare that Aki was enthralled with didn't have a bad view of her. She was ridiculously happy that Aki had found someone.
Zaka gave a small smile.
"We could probably be nicer...but we're family. We tend to give each other a hard time, at times. I hope you understand. Aki does have great respect towards his family members, having grown before he had siblings." He was proud of his oldest son, even if he didn't say it often.

Viper looked at the three.They were all so confusing.Tilting her head to the side she huffed."So its kinda like mean affection?You mess around with eachother but you know you love eachother?"She looked at them,she didn't quite understand anything at all.Viper looked to the older stallion.A giggle left from her lips."Well thats wonderful.I guess you all pick on him because hes the oldest of the siblings?"

Giving a light shrug, Aki nodded.
"I suppose you could call it that, yes. I could sit here calling Kai a 'twerp', but she'd still know that I love her."
Kai gave an lady-like snort, before grinning at Viper.
"Sounds about right. We all care about each other...and it's not meant to be mean, but more of a teasing, really." Kai hoped that one day Viper would understand, and possibly even join in, on the light-hearted teasing.
With a smile, Zaka nodded at the mare.
"To some degree...more stuff on the boy...makes it easier to tease him." He gave his son a grin, which was returned. "Yet, at the same time, we have respect for him. He helped raise Kai quite a bit, helped with Niko, some too, along with all of his siblings. He's family oriented." Zaka gave a fond smile towards his two children, a warm look in his eyes as he spoke of his eldest child.
