Da'at. No one can say when or how the tree was built. The only solid fact is that is exists. While Las Noches lies at the center, this expansive home of the Arrancar lies at the furthest reaches of Hueco Mundo. It has large and small rooms, personal areas for each of the arrancar who managed to survive the purge some hundred years ago.

Since that horrible time, there were only a few adjuches who managed to live. The rare ones who did were gathered by Ein Sof: a Vasto Lorde who could manipulate spirit particles has he saw fit. Hiding himself, he waited until the time was right, and forced the evolution of those worthy adjuches and gillian, guiding their consumption until they developed into their ideal forms.

As quickly as he came, he left, leaving his followers in the ruins of Las Noches.

The strongest of them, Ori Shikoku De Nō, after some decades, grew tired of the boredom, and set out at random, or so he thought, the collective in tow.

When they came across Da'at, the surprise gave way to intrigue. Not only had the massive bone tree been hollowed out per each individual's liking, but their names had been inscribed at the base in accordance with their new organization: The Sephira.

There is no way out

Ori was sitting at his desk typing somethings into his computer. His room was huge, convenient for him, and his constant curiosity, of this tree name Da'at, has been growing immensely as the days went by. He was typing up possible reasons on how this came to be, how it had rooms big enough for them, and even had things within the said rooms that benefited them. It was more strange then confusing to Ori. He found this entire tree, being as large as it is, to be as old as Hueco may be. How it was never found until now was strange to him as well. Who ever found this place, before Asuna, or even made this place was incredibly powerful and had some sense of travel as he made his was to the out skirts of Hueco Mundo.

Stopping for a second in his typing splurge, Ori switched to a different screen as a low beep ensued. The screen pulled up a radar of sorts and two other screens that held other information such as the number of actual hollow that the radar picks up as well as any other type of being in the area. His radar began to pick a few hundred Hollow converging onto one spot. The radar seemed to want to pick up another source, a shinigami one, but it must have been quite faint. This was only countered by the amount of hollow there. Letting out a sigh into the air, Ori leaned backwards. "To go or not to go, that truly is the question. It is a potential test specimen that I could have free of any labor on my part. Perhaps there is a god worth praising if he so happily places an object like that, there, just for me to find. There is nothing better to do to keep myself occupied at the moment. Asuna could probably care less about what I do any way." Sitting up, Ori checked the radar again, taking some coordinates down in his mind, before he stood, turned off his screen and moved over to a drawer near his bed.

Ori opened it and took from it, a glove with a round half orb on the back of it. He placed it on his right hand and made for his door, of which the door way was enveloped by roots. It irritated him to no end that they were there, and he watched them carefully in case they decided to start to move again; He did not want to have to rewire his entire room. Ori pushed open the door and looked down the center of the tree to the bottom. He leaped off the edge, his robes billowing behind him, and just before he touched ground was gone within time just short the speed of light.

Ori returned to his room a few hours later as he had walked back with the small hollow 'pet' of his that he had carrying both he and Tomomi. The hollow was forced to climb the entire tree to his room as well, and was allowed to stop at the door frame and place his face on the ground. Ori stepped down the Hollow and proceeded into his room, grumbling under his breath at the length of time it took to get here. Ori called for the Hollow to come in a few seconds later, in which Ori had procured a metallic autopsy table. The Hollow lifted Tomomi onto the table for Ori and sat patiently awaiting anything further to do. "Now now, let us go ahead and let you out, yes?" Ori led the Hollow out to the area just outside his door. He grabbed the Hollow by the neck and tossed him off into the middle area that ran to the bottom of the tree. For an added measure, as he was still not mollified with how long it took to get here, he pointed a finger at the Hollow and destroyed him, scoffing before entering his room again.

"Now that ignorance has been removed from my air, what shall we do with you, oh body of mine." Ori strolled over to the autopsy table and looked at the boys body. He removed the Haori and examined the number on it, pegging him to be the Sou-Taichou or, at least now, the previous Sou-Taichou. He nodded his head left to right, "Tsk. Tsk. Shinigami. they are probably still trying to find you, if only somewhat. Hahaha." Ori placed the Haori into a near by incinerator, which precariously made its self apparent through the floor. Ori moved over to the wall near his computer and clicked a button, and a hose came down from the ceiling. He removed the robes from Tomomi and began to wash his body off, as it was now filthy. After a good rinse, Ori turned and went back to his computer, typing a command in quickly and moved back to the body. In a distant part of his room a large tube was erected and filled with a liquid, which was about to change.

"Off to the containment tube for you Shinigami. I have a need for you." Ori wheeled of Tomomi, clean and in his bear essentials, over to the tube. There was a small pad next to the tube, off which he punched in a few things before it drained and opened. He lifted Tomomi up into the tube, which sent out cords to hold him, and also inject themselves into his body, before it closed and filled again. It had a soft green glow to it and Ori returned to his computer. He began typing, "So I can finally start my wonderful Hybrid project. I have one brilliant mind, one captain level Shinigami, one of the most powerful captains at that, and now I need one extremely powerful Arrancar. It seems that leaves me or Zenos, but I do believe Zenos would be against it. He seems content with his power. So, along came a scientist, I suppose." Ori grit his teeth as he became more irritated as he thought about the risk of having to use himself. It was a necessary risk, at the moment, and he hoped everything would go well.

Ori began to rap his fingers against his desk and bit his lip, staring at the tube containing Tomomi, and cursed under his breath. If everything was not perfect, then this could end in nothing but a failure and most likely at the expense of Ori's mental state. He would become a mindless ape, in his book. And so he sat to contemplate the ordeal of what he had planned.

There is no way out

Ori, now having contemplated for well over an hour, his abyssal eyes moving to look in multiple directions unnoticed whilst doing so, let out a long sigh as he 'slammed' his hands into the desk. "So obviously, a hybrid situation is completely ridiculous to ponder on as well as being completely risky. In order to hybridize, the two subjects must be similar..." Ori looked over his shoulder towards Tomomi and squinted, taking a breath with it. Turning back to the computer screen, Ori began typing at a blinding speed. The multitude of 'taks' that came from the keys sounded much like a toy machine gun. Many windows popped up on the screen, mainly the command screen that was simply a black box that allowed for command codes to be entered. Ori used this screen to use the built in scanner within the Stasis tube Tomomi was in. Throwing in the command for it, as well as an activation key, the scanner hummed to a start.

In the back of the stasis tube, along the wall, a thin light strip that began to slowly circle the tube, moving in a 360 around Tomomi, started up. It was at the base of the tube and began to pick up some speed. Before long the strip was spinning so fast that the liquid within the tube began to slightly whirlpool, as well it appearing to simply be a permanent strip in the tube. As soon as it reached the peak speed, it began to move upwards. It scanned everything from his toes to his last floating hair as well as his reiatsu signature and resonance. Had his zanpakutou been within it as well, it would run the specs for it, though it had been previously removed and placed in a small cylinder container to the right of the tube.

Soon after the spinning came to a stop at the top of the containment tube the results of the scan began to pop up upon the computer screen. It read things like: Reishi mass: Captaincy, Reishi type: Elemental: Water/Ice, Reishi Wavelength: 400hz. More information flooded the screen, such a body condition and any abnormalities with his being, though the ones dealing his Reishi was what Ori paid the most attention to. Running is finger along the desk, Ori bit his lip as he figured how he would keep his reiatsu at Tomomi's wavelength, which was at this moment in time well below his natural 600hz, while completely non-responsive in a slight induced coma. He searched some files within his computer to see if he had ever created a feature for the system to consciously let out a reishi frequency at all. He spotted one folder that had the beginning of such a project, but nothing more than a few rough ideas over it.

Frowning in displeasure, Ori mentally stored the file and deleted it, standing from his seat, and moved to a part of his room, near the tanks, and picked up a few pieces of scrap and began to melt them down in a nearby pre-heated 10,000 Kelvin oven. He poured them into a mold and began to make a 4in x 4in circuit board that would be programmed to allow Ori's body to only let out 400hz while still in a coma. After an hour of slaving over the circuit board Ori moved to his CPU, a huge room full of large towers, about 6 feet tall, that ran his labs. He moved to one in particular and installed the chip easily and returned to his desk. "Now that all of that s**t is done, I can move on to the actual Hybridization process. Command process AI4-NLFHST4. Planned for Stasis tubes 4 and 6, result within tube 5. Use Chip 748 as coma guide. Once the frequencies are the same, begin the resonator. Once they begin to combine upstart the backup generator to add more energy and speed the fuse. Once result form has been created, moved to Tube five for a period of 5 hours before injecting the Adrenaline. We will find out what has become of it at that time. If subject has become rabid and does not execute code: F417S4F3, lock down the room, back up all data to the CPU room, then incinerate the entire room."

Ori took a soft breath after a monologue of his commands and moved to his bed. He stripped himself to nothing but his skin and neatly left his clothes in a folded pile on the edge of his bed. Softly walking towards Stasis tube 4, a soft taping noise coming with every step, Ori yawned and stretched his body. His body became covered in prickled skin when he stepped within the tube, as it was cold to the touch. Reaching out to type a few begin commands before leaning back, Ori was soon being stabbed with a few needles as the tube closed and began to fill. His eyes rested upon the bed that was some 20 feet away from him, before his body shut down and his eyes closed.

The computer system took over from that point forward. On the screen of the computer, one would see the monitor reading the frequency coming from both bodies. Tomomi's was a good range between 395-405hz and Ori's was dropping from 600 down to the same range so as to resonate with Tomomi. As Ori's frequency hit 405hz, a small arc of electricity would form from Ori's tube to Tomomi's. As it reached the ample range, multiple arcs would begin to form and jump back and forth. Before long, there were as many as 5 at a time of different sizes moving between the two bodies. After a few minutes of their frequencies resonating, something denoted on the computer screen as two waves beginning to flow directly in line with each other, each body began to become separated spirit particles, making each body look like a fuzzy, bright blue mass that seemed to be vibrating softly. As this occurred the computer showed an image of two orbswith lightning between the two as the two bodies began to merge with the peak resonance. The picture on the screen explained what was happening as the souls began to stream to into each other, in tube 5. At first, tube 5 would seem like a storm of the blue particles, but as 20 minutes went by the entire body was formed, if only a rough model made of blue particles. As the resonance was complete, the body’s particles began to settle and create the image of a slender young man with two abnormalities. On his right side, there was a small wing that formed at his forehead and ran back, as well as a wing joint just at the right of his spine, that wrapped to the left. His skin was fair, and just a bit darker than Ori's original skin, now having a light tan to it. Though the body was formed, Ori's eyes were still a bright blue and glowing, right through his eyelids, while the particles of both bodies began to merge and become used to each other, allowing for any competent usage.

After the 5 hour rest period, Ori's eyes had died down and become the complete black that they use to be, though one could only find out after he was removed. The tube drained the one of the numerous needles within his body shot in a medium to high dose of adrenaline. His heart began to pump and his eyes began to lift slowly. Light flood his eyes with a painful glare and he was dropped to the ground as the needles removed themselves simultaneously. He made no effort to catch himself and simply fell, like a doll, to the floor. His legs were sprawl out and his arms laid out to the sides, up towards his head. His face was blank as it stared along the ground as if lost. Truth be told, his brain hadn't kicked in any functions as of yet. After a minute or two of laying there, his body twitched before a sudden breath was taken, and Ori lifted his body upwards with his arms, panting for breath. He was slouched on the floor, knees together and his hands resting on his thighs. He took deep and heavy breaths before looking around and suddenly bursting out in laughter, which, unintentionally, caused his reiatsu to flare out. Few things had changed about him, other than his memories and appearance. His hair was still the deep black, but now, just below the wing, and parts of the wing's base, were a blondish color. Ori's eyes were still completely black, but were now punctuated by a bright blue pupil.

Lifting himself to a standing position Ori found his Zanpakutou, or rather glove, and slipped it on, releasing to his own release and reformed his clothes to that of a slender armor leaving the right arm with nothing, as his glove was about to become over turned to something better. He placed the armor on, after disbanding his release, and his glove turned from black leather with a large orb on the back, to a full arm silver gauntlet, the silver being what would materialize to a weapon, and a black cloth. It matched his already built in left arm, and would serve nicely.

Clenching his fist Ori looked to his computer, "F417S4F3." The computer bummed and everything went as planned. While Ori was making some final checkups on everything, he found that there was a Zanpakutou within his stasis tube. Something he did not notice, as did his computer, which made him quite flummoxed, but nonetheless grabbed the thing and looked upon it. It had a tsuba that looked like a spiraling galaxy. His eye brow lifted and he placed the blade onto his back, then grabbed the blade of Tomomi, now lost of its powers, and placed it on his back as well. He was well equipped now, and quite happy with the results. Ori moved to his computer and typed,” Project Merge: Status: Complete”. He then sat down and took a quick nap before deciding to do something else.
