Tajahi once again found herself weaving through the dense foliage of the forest, drawn to the sound of running water. Her travels around the lands had brought her to this spot many times, it had become a personal favorite due to the peace often associated with her. The larger mare used her strength to get through the overgrown path and turned her gaze once more on the thundering waterfall leading down into one of the many rivers. It was still the same as ever, though it did look as if a tribe of two-leggers had passed by recently.
She paid the fresh tracks in the dirt no mind and made her way over to the waters edge to drink. The water was still as cool and wonderful as she remembered as well. Several silent moments passed before she raised her head to watch the falling water. How many had been here since the last time she passed through? A mystery that often crossed her mind each time she returned to a place of interest or favoritism.

The scent of water was closing in, Syri's nostrils flared as he took in the sweet scent. His ears could hear the water rippling, it was a welcome sound. He was parched and could use a drink and a bit of rest. Exiting the forest, he scanned the area quickly. His eyes almost missed the blue figure in the distance. He watched for a moment before making himself known, he didn't want to startle the soquili by approaching un announced. He nickered a hello and waited for a response.

The mare turned her focus away from the waterfall to find the source of the greeting. She was only mildly surprised to see a Kirin standing in the clearing with her. It wasn't often she saw Kirin in this part of the land. Turning her ears toward him curiously, Tajahi nickered back a hello and stepped forward. He seemed nice enough after all.
"Hello there. ...what brings you to this part of the world, if you don't mind my asking?" She asked, her voice soft and much older sounding than her looks implied.

Syri was pleased to see that the other soquili was accepting of his greeting. He slowly made his way forward, realizing that the figure was that of a large mare. He had seen few draft size females in his lifetime, he thought they were beautiful and majestic creatures. He always thought that it must be such talent to be so graceful in a larger frame.
"Merry met, Ma'am," he lowered his head in greetings before continuing. "None at all! I am a traveler, just passing through," he offered a friendly smile, shaking his mane out of his eyes. "I hope the day has met you well?"

Tajahi chuckled softly at his bright cheerfulness and personality. She enjoyed that in the world and was glad to speak to someone like it. She lowered her head in return to the greeting, then looked back up at him, her smiling growing bigger.
"Not often do I see other travelers like myself." She started, looking him over again. He must have taken very good care of himself, usually most travelers of the world she met grew dirty and tired. "Yes, yes, this day is lovely and perfect to be out in."

He nodded, agreeing with her statement. "It has been some time since I have run into another," he paused and thought about it. He had been traveling solo for several weeks now since his last encounter or conversation.
"I was following the scent of water, I do hope I have intruded?" he inquired. He would travel down stream for his drink if she prefered solitude. "I can always travel down stream if you would like to be alone." he nodded his head. It would only be the polite thing to do since the mare had been in the area first.

She chuckled softly and moved to walk toward him. "No. You're perfectly fine and allowed to enjoy the water here. ...as well as the clearing. It's the only one this nice for a long while depending on the direction you are going. It has become my favorite place." She stated, looking up at the trees around them and listening to the sound of birds somewhere nearby. It was rare to find a place so peaceful. Let alone a place one would return to at anytime.
"So feel free. I'm not going to chase you off." Tajahi finished, stopping short in front of him and lowering her head to drink as well. After a moment she quickly looked back up at him in surprise. "Oh--forgive my rudeness! My name is Tajahi."

"Well thank you, Tajahi," he bobbed his head in greeting, "I'm Syri," he quickly took a sip of the crisp water going by then lifted his head with a smile.
"You have a lovely resting place here, I can easily see why it is a favorite," he took a moment to look around and enjoy the view.
(Its been a month waiting on a reply, I'm moving this off of my active RP list.)

(Been more than a month now D| I just haven't felt any inspiration to RP)
The larger mare smiled as she watched him drink and enjoy himself and the peace of the clearing. It was nice to have another there, being alone in such a wonderful place isn't always ideal. In fact, it always got sort of lonely, she thought. Tajahi closed her eyes and stood still for quite some time, enjoying the peace and just listening to the sounds of the forest around them. She finally snapped out of it when she felt as if someone was staring her down quite pointedly.
"Oh...forgive me. I often lose myself in my thoughts around here. I didn't mean to go so quiet and look as if...I fell asleep on you. I promise." She said sheepishly, turning her attention back to Syri once more.
