The sky was streaked with a brilliant array of purples, pinks and reds as the sun began to dip below the horizon. Night was approaching and the denizens of Lunaria were slowly retreating into their houses to seek shelther against the nightly conflicts.

Children, women, and the elderly were not exempt from the fights that broke out in the nighttime streets. This was war.

Climbing up the side of the cherry tree hill, Kyung panted heavily. Normally, he could climb up the hill and finish panting lightly, but today he had run from his estate all the way up the hill. A feat which amazed and impressed the cobalt Lunarian. Given his weak constitution, it was a feat that made the cobalt on glow with pride. So his morning exercises of walking up and down this hill were helping.

He was aggravated; he was late. Late for his second talk with Huang-Fu.

He didn't know who Huang-Fu was; he didn't know what Huang-Fu looked like. He only knew his voice and that Huang-Fu lived in the shadow of his brother.

In reality, Kyung did not know Huang-Fu at all. But, he found himself anxious to be talking to the person who had sat on the other side of the tree.

Fretting with his sleeves, Kyung continued to run without paying attention to what was in front of him. He let out a grunt as he ran into something and staggered backwards, falling on his bottom. He sat on the soft grass, dazed as he tried to regain his senses.

Huang bit back a deep sigh as he tried to escape his household. His mother was talking of yet another mission to add to his list of many missions to do. He was watching as the sun set over the land and mentally cursed. His friend, The one who sat behind the tree where they talked was probably waiting for him. He would get to mission's if need be but for now he wanted to get to talking to his newly found friend and discuss certain important matters! Well at least they seemed important to Huang and he desperately wanted to talk them out.

He didn't know the person behind the tree and that added to the mystery that Huang found his friendship with the other man. It also made it easier for Huang, to not have to judge them based on appearance or even knowing the man's alliance. It nagged him a bit that he didn't know but pushed it aside for who could ever really be friends with Huang?

He kept his head nodding as he left the house and moved quickly through the streets, avoiding any dangerous subjects. The night was becoming tense with the rise of the conflict that had been going on and everyone was looking for a fight.

Even Huang in retrospect was, He was pissed in his own way because of his mother and not in the mood to have to break a promise to his new friend. As he headed up the cherry tree hill's trail, He stopped suddenly and thought for a moment. He didn't know his friend's face and name so why was he obliged to come up the hill in such a hurry? As he thought this, unaware of him was the other boy and crashing into him, Sent Huang forward to his knee's in a bit of shocked disarray.

"Hey!" Huang turned his head to see another boy sitting across from him. Huang instantly disliked him, well maybe it was cause he was so bothered and distracted that he had been snuck up on, "What the hell, do you not know where your looking?" Huang got up and scowled at the other boy, his anger starting to boil for being mistreated so.

The cobalt Lunarian swayed gently from side to side as he slowly gathered his wits. Though his impact with the night-blue Lunarian had been a weak one, his fall the ground was another story.

Kyung slowly stood up and brushed the dirt off his silk robes. Making sure that there were no traces of dirt or other debris sticking to his clothing, he turned to face the young man he had crashed into. Opening his mouth to voice an apology, he stopped and clamped his mouth shut once he heard the other boy's tone. Not to mention his choice in words. "I was going to apologize for running into you in my haste to meet a friend but the way you just spoke to me leaves me feeling as if I deserve the apology for your rude behavior." His tone was curt and contained none of the warmth that he had shared with Huang-Fu behind the tree, not to mention so formal it would made even a nobleman cringe.

Crossing his slender arms across his chest, he tapped a foot impatiently as he waited for the young man to apologize. Here he was, late in his meeting with Huang-Fu and he was wasting even more time trying to milk an apology out of this insolent cad. "I would like an apology for the way you just spoke to me. I’m a busy person, I have somewhere I need to be. Please be quick. The sooner you apologize the quicker we can be on our ways." And being the obstinate person he was, Kyung WAS going to have his apology. Huang-Fu would have to wait a little longer. This was a matter of pride and one's manliness.

Behind him, the sun was sinking even lower into the horizon. The skies darkening with each passing second. If this didn't end soon then by the time Kyung got to his tree, it would be night time. He had no desire to be outside his out at night time. At the cherry tree hill of all places. It was the cross point of all conflict.

Huang scowled at the other Lunarian and stiffened at the polite tone and noble reek of words that exited it out. Huang could almost feel the air chill with every word the other boy spoke and his scowl deepened even further. He could tell this boy was of course from a higher class of family just by how he spoke.

"I don't have to be the one to apologize, when your the one not looking where your going and running into people..."
Huang anger boiled all over again, "Who are trying to meet someone in important as well. Now because of this, i might not make it to him." Huang glared at the other boy, his mood was violate and dangerous, too much was pent up inside him and the collision with the other boy was a trigger to him doing something he'd probably regret later.

"Are you...." Huang shook his head in a kinda of frustrated wonder at the other guy, tapping his foot at him? "I said i am not apologizing when i didn't do anything, if anything you should be the one giving me remorseful sympathies." Huang glared at the other man, keeping his gaze locked with him.

"As I have said earlier, I see no reason to apologize. Your rude behavior towards me has shown me that I don't need to be courteous to you. If you seek an apology then you should apologize to me first." The cobalt Lunarian's eyes narrowed to slits to match the Legionnaire's glare. "Perhaps you have not heard the saying, 'treat others as you wish to be treated.'" Kyung picked his words carefully. Yes, he wanted to provoke the other Lunarian but only so that he could get his apology.

So, as he stood there in the clearing he couldn't help but scream mentally in frustration. Why wouldn't the boy in the red scarf apologize already? With each passing second, his chance of meeting Huang-Fu at the tree was slipping away. The longer he stood here, the more pointless it seemed to be out. Today was not his day.

"You have said so yourself. You are also busy. Please hurry and apologize so I may go attend to my business. My friend is waiting for me." He flicked his bangs out of his eyes with a deft twist of the wrist. Though he had to admit, the green dragon tattoo visible on the boy's arm was rather intimidating. A delinquent probably, maybe even a gangster.

After all, normally people didn't just walk around with a tattoo the size of a cat on their arm.

... Of the people he could have crashed into, he had to crash into a crazy. The gods loved screwing with his luck.

Huang wasn't sure what cause him to react the way he did but it was pretty much to do his intense angry mood and the lack of a better or proper outlet to release said feelings mixed with that night had just fallen in and the guy in front of him to miss his friendly chat with the stranger behind the tree.

His hand reached back and came forward, connecting to Kyung's face in a sickening thud of skin, bone and other contact. Huang was almost sure he had felt the joy of being able to just let some steam out, regardless that he just smashed his fist into a random strangers face. In what could probably be his master's words, Sometimes there is just a wrong time and wrong place for a person every where.

"How's that for an apology you jerk!" Huang sensed himself a little guilty for his actions but at the same time, a smugness. "I treated you the same as you treated me, hope you enjoyed a reflection of how you act."

Huang turned to walk away, heading the opposite of the tree direction now. with night settled in, there was no point in checking if his adviser was still there.

Kyung was not a fighter. He had no sharp reflexes and he lacked endurance, speed, strength and dexterity. The punch thrown by the Legionnaire was one that could have easily been avoided given that the person it was aimed at had some physical training.

For Kyung, who had never had such training, the fist connected with his nose in an instant with ease and the air rang with the crunching of broken cartilage. The boy grunted and fell to the ground on his knees clutching his nose. Blood began to gush from the cobalt lunarian's nose, staining the boy's palms and dying the sleeves of his robes a crimson. The pain was beyond anything he had experienced before. He could find no comparison for it.

His assailant's last words echoed as if taunting Kyung. Slowly staggering to his feet, Kyung glared figure disappearing into the sea of trees. With his arms at his side and the lower half of his face smeared with blood, he managed to speak without swallowing the blood that continued to run freely down his face. Leaving a trail of scarlet rivulets down the front of his robes.

"Normally, I do not factor alliances into a Lunarian's behavior. But you, your preference for violence coupled with your foul mouth leads me to believe you are a Legionnaire. I hope you're happy. I suppose right about now, your parents must be beaming with pride." Kyung's voice was dripping with malice, thick as venom it seemed to wilt the trees verdant leaves ever so lightly.

Raising his sleeves to sop up the rest of the blood, he flinched and whimpered ever so softly as pain shot through the center of his face on contact. It had to broken. His father would not be pleased at this. More upsetting yet, Kyung knew for a fact that he would be under house arrest -courtesy of his father- until his nose was mended. Something that would keep him from meeting Huang-Fu for the next week or so.

Huang looked over his shoulder at the boy's last comment and sneered a bit, so not only had the guy pissed him off and got his just reward but he was in fact of the noble alliance. Any feeling of regret evaporated in a instant at his crude violence actions.

"And telling from your stubborn lack of courtesy and regal air about you, I figure that your a noble."
Huang turned around, in this case he could've finished the guy off but heard his small whimper and then he sighed. Weakness was not a part of Huang's deal and though he felt no regret for the other man, he did feel a bit of sympathy, "It was your misfortune to have met me tonight Noble, just be lucky that i am not in the mood to continue..." Huang puffed his chest and turned back to the woods. Disappearing into the thicket of woods.

This would be another story for his companion behind the tree, just when Huang thought he could relieve his problems all over again tonight, he was caught up in a skirmish with a very pretty but crude and rude Lunarian. Huang sighed again and tried to think of something else then the man he punched face, he was fairly sure he broke the man's nose...Maybe that would be a little lesson for both of them?

Kyung did not respond to the Legionnaire's comment too fixated on trying to stop the bleeding. Gingerly touching his nose, he winced as it let out a loud pop. This would take a while to heal and that time spent healing would also be his time confined within his estate. He had to let Huang-Fu know. It was not respectable amongst friends to keep the other waiting without a reason.

He did not want to be rude to the Lunarian that had kept him company on the other side of the tree.

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a scrap of paper and a piece of charcoal. The remnants of a day's lesson on classic Chinese poetry. He smoothed out the creases on the paper and wrote on the paper with a crisp, elegant script.

Dear Huang-Fu,
I apologize that I did not show up today.
I was caught in some business.
I want you to know that I will be gone for several days.
Please be careful.

-K

Perfect. Or at least it had been until several droplets of blood ran down his nose and landed on the paper. Trying to wipe it away with his fingers, he scowled when he smeared it across the piece of paper. Great. Now it looked like something a dying man write while escaping from his assailant.

Though, that wasn't too far off from what had just happened to him.

Folding up the piece of paper, he secured it to their tree by slipping one end under a piece of bark so that the other end was coming out. Hopefully, Huang-Fu would get his message. Giving off a satisfied smile, he groaned when his nose gave off another loud pop. Looked like it was time to go home, before he bleed to death from his new broken nose.

"I'll be out in no time." He said to no one. Turning his back to the tree, the cobalt Lunarian disappeared behind the trees as he journeyed back home.

Huang returned to the hill soon after the other Lunarian had left. In truth Huang had come back thinking that maybe He's adviser on the other side was there, still waiting for him. He never broke a promise and after his fury from the other Lunarian's conflict wore away, he cooled his head and returned here.

As he came to the tree, he stood in front of it staring, going to the other side to find no one and felt a small bit of disappointment, there was no one there. Of course there wasn't, Huang thought to himself. It was close to the midnight hour and battles were in their peak tonight, his adviser would not wait around for him to come at such a late hour.

Turning away from the tree he came back his side with one more glance, something caught his eye tucked into bark of the tree. Heading over, he slipped out a little note written to him and felt his heart swell a bit. Not only had his adviser left him something, but it verified that he had been here as well. K, Huang thought to himself, now he had a letter to call his adviser, not just stranger's anymore.

As he read the note over and over again, he noticed the smeared blood, hopefully his friend had not been injured.

"Then i shall return here every night till we can meet again K." Huang spoke allowed, his words whispered on the breeze, carrying it far off and his slipped the note in his pocket and slipped away into the night. He'd return back to this tree for sure.
