Sitting up at the top of the the great tree of Denia sits a silvery dome building. During the daylight hours the dome is closed shut, but when the sun goes down, it opens up to reveal a very large and impressive telescope that points skyward. Porta Denia’s observatory is one of the most well known places of astronomical studies, due to the fact that it is the only permanently standing observatory this high up. It has some of the best equipment that astronomy can offer and to many up and coming astronomers and star gazers, it is their dream to be able to study there.
The observatory is open during the day to those who are interested in tours and learning how astronomy works. During the summer months, night classes are offered for those who take an interest in astronomy. The Observatory often works with the University for the students pursuing a career as an astronomer.
The first floor of the building acts as a lobby and a mini-museum, with artifacts from original star maps made by ancient Gaian civilizations to a model of the first working telescope. The observatory’s most prized artifact is a set of stone tablets which describe an ancient religious ritual preformed by a society of peoples that worshipped the stars.
The second floor is the computer and records room. All of the information that comes from the the telescopes are fed into the computers on this floor, and all of the information ever recorded since the opening of the observatory are kept here. Currently, the employees at the observatory are in the process of transferring all of the analog information from their file cabinets to a digital format on their computers. Due to this process, tours do not come to the second floor for the time being. Only visiting astronomers and employees at the observatory are allowed on this floor.
The top most floor is the telescope room. It houses all of the working telescopes in the observatory and is directly open to the sky at night. There are a number of smaller, personal telescopes about the room, but in the center of the room is a giant telescope that sticks out through the top of the dome. Some of Gaia’s most advanced astronomical equipment is kept here, as such, there is very high security for those who are not scientists here to use the equipment. On some nights in the summer, the Observatory will put away some of the telescopes and hold a night sky sleepover for school children, where they teach students about constellations and bodies in space.
The head astronomer at the Porta Denia Observatory is Stephen Gray, who transferred to the observatory roughly five years ago from the observatory on the outskirts of Aekea. He is a generally enthusiastic man, excited about learning and will often lead the tours around the Observatory and help out any students that come to the observatory for their studies.

The night sky was surely something special. It was pitch black and yet it was filled to bursting with hundreds upon thousands of tiny sparks. The stars shimmered with a silvery greeting, and they were greeting back with a near silent swish of wings meeting air. It was steady beat, serene and calm, blending with the silence of the night. A lone devil imp flew skyward, swiftly gaining altitude. She reached out her hand, long fingers reaching as if to trail through the liquid stars. She smiled a quiet smile, and then pinned her wings close to her bodies, arching back and soaring down. A spin, a flick and a much louder swish, and she soared over the sky bound island.
She sighed as she flew by the myriad of colorful foliage, as if disappointed by her monochrome disguise. Black to blend with the darkened skies, grey to blend with ashes left behind. She missed with painful reminisce her crimson coated locks. But, well, imps will do as they do, and there will be those that dislike them. Soon enough she would be able to drop her disguise and bounce around with eyes so green they gave the forests envy. She laughed softly to herself, and landed outside of a building built for the stars. She smirked, bemused. Well, at the very least it reached closer to the stars than the observatories down below.
She walked in, pinning her wings close to herself. She would've thrown some imp magic, call to the olds and turn herself into a puppet of sorts, hidden her impish nature. After all, the devil in devil imp wasn't just for show. But, well, this place was empty, silent as the skies she just danced through a mere seconds ago. Her eyes slowly roamed, finding herself surrounded by exhibits. A museum of sorts? In a house of the stars? Quaint. She walked slowly, letting her fingers trace over the glass. What pretty little trinkets they had. How compelling the age that whispered from the old velum pages, sketches of the skies pressed into them. Her attention was drawn to the stone tablets, and she bounced over to them, taking in the magics they used to call to the stars. Perhaps she could try it herself, pull a new spell into her arsenal.
But no, no, It would be a bad idea, for this was surely not imp magics and neither she nor her angelic counterparts had any business sticking their finger tips in the magics of the other Gaians. They just didn't work that way. Which is why they had hidden themselves for so long... She sighed. Until Gambino had called them out. It was such a deep loss. She stretched her wings and pulled them back in. "What a pretty little spell they played. Quite the pomp. Could've used some more sparks, if I can say anything to it. Ah sparks. So pretty, and shiny. Oh, golden sparks! Nothing more fine than a spark of gold. Especially if it turns out to be a gold piece. Maybe a spoon, or a coin, or a bracelet, or a tooth..."

With such an elaborate design in the sky tonight, it wasn't difficult for the Puppeteer to fly toward Port Denia unrecognized, riding on his cloud of golden sparkles. After a very long trip all the way from the small port of Roads End, he was finally here. Who knew sitting on a comfy cloud could be so utterly tiring?
SO, what to do? Well, the reason for splitting into two was so he could obtain an airship here, while the other him investigated this world by following Dakki, Wicket...and that tall person. What was his name again? Oh well, he wasn't important.
For someone who could pull a ship out of his hat, he was very excited to find his casimir tree and make his own ship. It wasn't just the sheer thrill of actually creating something, but he felt that the casimir tree's were somehow linked to his world's disappearance. Plus, there would be even more misadventures! HUZZAH, MISADVENTURES!
But alas, for he was under the night skies spell this time around. He wondered whether there was actually other planets all the way up there, or whether they were gems pasted onto the magically painted ceiling. He also wondered if he could take a closer look. After floating awhile far above the shadows of the empty street, he decided to land on a tall building with many large telescopes sticking out of the roof, just to take a peek...

Lunar was struck with a thought while she was gazing at the tablets. Star magic. That was one thing that neither species of imps had never done. Now that she thought about it, Lunar had never seen star magic before. Granted, there was probably someone in Gaia who would wield it. She may or may not meet them any time soon, but it would take an awful long time. Perhaps too long. She sighed, and stretched her wings. She didn't really care. Star magic was probably related to light magic. and Lunar didn't like light magic. Devil imps in general weren't fond of light magic. They had lived so long in the underground that they barely enjoyed sunlight. Lunar didn't want the stars to be ruined for her anyway. They were good companions at night.
Lunar stretched her arms and paused mid stretch. A sound. Someone else was in the building. She pulled the staff off her back, feeling better with a weapon in hand. She loved surprise attacks when she was the one attacking. But she loathed being surprised herself. If it didn't frighten her it made her want to repetitively whack them with her staff. She slowly turned around, starting to summon up a shadow spell. It was her favorite sort of magic. Well, aside from appearance magic, but that was more of a practical every day sort of favorite.
Lunar nearly dropped her staff when she realized who it was. What a surprise, it had been so long and she had nearly forgotten. With a laugh and a twist, Lunar popped her staff back into place, and ran over to the visitor, with small leaps that let her hover slightly in mid air. She paused in front of him and gigged. "Blast! It's been quite the while, then hasn't it? Somethin' nice meeting you up here, while I'm actually not doing anything illegal! I thought if we ever met again it'd be while I was setting something on fire.... or blowing something up. same difference."

A sexy chick who appears to be a devil imp that knows him even though he's never seen her in his life: AND SO THE MISADVENTURES BEGIN! But seriously, who was this lady? Both her presence and appearance felt familiar...it reminded him of a certain joyfully psychopath who was with that [quite literally] foxy girl far down memory lane.
But she called him Blast...while it's true that he is Blast and Blast is him, they are two separate individuals. Besides, the person who this person COULD be never met Blast...WHATS GOING ON HERE?
"Why hello hun! Fancy meeting you here..." He decided to play along for the fun of it, even though he couldn't wipe off that confused look off his face.

Lunar grinned, ever so excited to meet an old friend again. It wasn't often that she met a friend of hers outside of a jail cell. That was a little worrisome, how so many of her good friends ended up in trouble with the guard. Then again, she was insane, they were questionably sane, and the fact that they couldn't go outside to tip a cow without garlic trying to eat them probably screwed them up mentally.
She paused, and noticed his confused expression. She giggled excitedly. "Oh, I know I look a little weird, I mean, with the black hair, and my eyes being all black and white, literally, but, well, the Barton Guard and I don't do well together. That's actually why I'm up here! They can't arrest me when I'm outside of their jurisdiction!" Lunar chimed. To be truthful, she could probably go to her bar, but there was a good chance that Leon would follow her to Durem and arrest her there.
Lunar was awfully tired of getting arrested. It was an annoyingly long process. First she had to go through the whole trial, then she was thrown into a cell, and then she had to blow up the cell. Lunar had other uses for her explosives you know. She sighed, folding her arms and shaking her head. She looked at Blast with a grin. "That reminds me. Why are you up here? I mean, well, there are plenty of reasons for you to be gallivanting about the Port but not many for you to come by this temple to the stars. So, what's up?"

Huh, she fell for it. Oh well, this should be fun while it lasts. Besides, this lady was quite interesting. HUZZAH FOR NEW FRIENDSHIPS WITH SOMEONE WHO ALREADY KNOWS ME~
"The sky is so pretty tonight I couldn't resist taking a peek!" He said as he looked up at the sky with delight, waving his arms around wildly. He saw that the lady had that sort of 'really?' look on her face. "...and I thought it would be fun to smash a few monocles. But that would be meeeean, wouldn't it?" He said quickly with a delightful grin.

Lunar followed his eyes to the sky, and grinned, leaning back to stare at the stars. They were so very pretty. She wondered if she could find some sort of fire magic to create the same shower of little lights that the sky boasted each night. Lunar frowned and slightly shook her head. It was unlikely. To have the effect that she wanted, Lunar would probably have to play with light magic. Or, well, maybe not. A grin split her face as she thought about illusionary magic. She could probably pull off a star shower with illusionary magic. And it would be less likely to seriously injure her.
Lunar glanced at Blast out of the corner of her eye. Something seemed slightly wrong. Slightly off. He seemed perfectly normal, physically and personality wise. But there was something that bugged her. Her impish intuition was tingling. Lunar sighed and pushed it away. It wasn't good to center on what may be wrong. If she let it go but watched without comment, then the problem would reveal itself. Lunar brushed her hair back a little, and then grinned.
"Monocle Mashing? Why would there be any monocles here? I think it'd be more likely to find some regular glasses here, and then we really shouldn't mash their glasses. Because if we did, chances are I'd probably have to run to avoid getting arrested again, and the only places left are either Isle de Gambino or the underground, and I still can't go to the island without crying, and the underground sucks a**, so I'd rather not to performing any illegal actions that are, well, in public." Lunar looked around, and then giggled, noticing the complete absence of other people. "Then again, there is a lack of tourists here at current, but that also leads to a lack of either monocles or glasses."

"WELL, I figured someone who hanged out here too much would develop bad eyesight from looking at the sky too much, so i think this would be the second best place to find monocles, right after a store for glasses." He quickly looked throughout the room, but there were no monocles in sight. "WELL, I suppose I was wrong, and will have to look for a pair of monocles elsewhere. Where are you headed?"

"Where am I headed?" Lunar was quite surprised by that question. She had absolutely no idea where she was headed. She really ought to have a better idea of what she was doing. Then again, she had left in a bit of a hurry. A change of clothes and a spell later and she was out of Durem, off Gaia, and into the sky. Her first response was to just get the hell out of there. And well, she was now out of there. The only question was what to do now. Lunar giggled, and rubbed the back of her head.
"Fair question. All I really came up here with is my weapons, the clothes on my back and my magics, so I suppose I should first get some supplies, a bag to put them in... Then I could find a place to stay. I mean, I have a box, but, it's an a** to unfold. From there... Eh. I guess then I'll find something to do. A job. I'll probably end up stealing stuff, now that I think about it." Lunar said, folding her wings close.
It wasn't uncommon for imps to steal stuff. It was actually how they got by before most of them started working for Gambino. Many imps only worked for Gambino part time, and spent the rest of their days either doing small work for the Dark Elves or other, more, questionable activities. It was rare that a devil imp start up a business, such as Lunar's bar. Most of them enjoyed their more illegal ways of gaining gold. Gravedigging was more popular than most Gaians knew.

Wow. She wandering aimlessly, making it up as she went along. Reminds you of a certain someone doesn't it? Accept, you know, the Puppeteer kept a personal hygiene, and would have a cozy airship to settle in as he wandered. All she had was a box, which are always incredibly fun but aren't a very good place to live.
And so the light bulb lit above his head. Though that would mean it was inside his top-hat for no one to see, and he probably has a bunch of light bulbs jammed in there with the rest of his stuff. But that's not the point, he had an idea. This was a brilliant opportunity. He can't do all this "solving this world's mysteries" thing alone, and he doesn't have a good enough knowledge of this world to begin with! Besides, he found this lady incredibly comforting....
Why this was being thought of as such a big and awesome idea he did not know, because anyone watching or perhaps even reading what lunar said made it obvious what was going to happen next, which was...
"WELL WE CAN'T HAVE THAT CAN WE? You'll just have to come with me then! We'll go searching for my casimir tree RIGHT NOW!" He jumped up on a table, and made many hand gestures while he spoke, his voice had much spirit in it, "we'll have a glorious airship in a matter of seconds, and you'll be able to bunk with me for as long as you like~"
He looked down on her with a beaming smile, and outstretched his hand toward her. "Well lassy, are you in?"

Lunar was stunned still for a moment, and tilted her head, watching him spazz and wave his hands around while he spoke. She grinned softly. Someone had a wave of inspiration. It was always nice when the Muse gave someone such a gift. She listened to him, and then blinked when she finally got it. She had been so concentrating on his excited state that she hadn't actually been listening to it. Wait. Lassy... That was a little weird. Lunar brushed it off, and grinned brightly at Blast, taking his hand with a shake. "Of course I'm in! There's nothing better than watching the magic of a Casimir tree!" Lunar cheered.
She stretched her wings, and then grinned, letting go and motioning to the door. "Well then, shall we?" She said brightly. Lunar would enjoy working as crew for her old friend. Even though something was bugging her ever so softly. She would find out eventually. And spending a good amount of time riding on a ship would certainly lead her to an answer of some sort.
