Gishoni
Gishoni was very pleased with himself, he now had a pregnant mare under his belt and the fact that she was worthy just made his day. She was due to pop any day and the excitment within him was wriggling like a snake. Growing with each moment until it would explode and taste blood. He loved blood. And right now he really wish he could find a willing donor, afterall Gishoni never forced a woman, nor did he need to. No, Gishoni just charmed them and tried all his tricks to discover their worth. Those without wings or anything of real interest to Gishoni where automatically unacceptable, after all Gishoni would only gift his genetic material to those would do him proud and elevate his already great genes to a higher level.

Feeling pleased within himself but unable to stop his nature Gishoni found himself walking through the forest, heart pounding steadily as he licked his lips. The breeze blew in his direction and he got the distinctive sweet scent of a near by mare. It consumed his sences.... this could get interesting.

Sauda
This just wouldn't do.
A lone mare stood staring down at a peculiar rock formation at her hooves. A frown tugged her mouth downwards, the soft feathered wings atop of her head tucked neatly into themselves.
Tilting her head to the side, she confirmed that it was indeed the same pile of rocks that she had passed by just a few minutes before. This was just frustrating.
She had left the herd this morning with the intent of making herself a flower necklace. One of her herd mates had taught her how to construct one and Sauda wanted to give it a try.
She should have known better than to leave by herself. The mare always somehow managed to get herself lost, even with the most simple directions. It was like a curse to her.
Luckily, it was still around midday, and she had time to retrace her steps back to the edge of the forest.

If only it were so easy.

Gishoni
Gishoni followed the scent and came to stop before a creature that simply took his breath away, he licked his lips- his tongue pausing to feel the long strength of his fang as he looked her up and down. To most she may appear to be a simple wind, but he knew from those interesting wings upon her head and the ghost like drift around her that she was so much more. A smile covered his lips as he approached. He may be a pig but at least he was always straight to the point.

"Why hello there pretty lady," he tilted his head to the side, almost in an attempt to make himself appear less threatening as he took in the scene before him and added. "Are you lost? Maybe I can be a gentleman and help you out?" In more ways than one if he had his way.... but that was a thought for another moment. No he would take his time, get to know this interesting creature and help her out in the process.

Sauda
It felt like her heart lept all the way up into her throat, when the voice suddenly interrupted the silence that she had surrounded herself in. With a startled gasp, Sauda swung around to face a large stallion. Sauda felt her heart drop.
The male looked to be a kalona, yet something was different about him. The markings on his coat reminded her of a certain feline that she had spotted one day, while traveling. The markings were of a predator. His long fangs sent a nervous shiver down her spine. His leathery wings were much longer than her's, and she wondered if she gave flight, would he be faster? Sauda couldn't see the stallion's tail, but she could guess that it would be in the shape of a spade. Yet out of all of those things that she observed in him, none were as chilling as his eyes.
His eyes were dangerous, and held an emotion inside that only could be described as carnal hunger. Sauda couldn't help but to take a hesitant step back, wanting to put as much room between the male and herself.
It wasn't the first time that she had an encounter with a dangerous breed, and she knew that she would have to tread lightly around him. Never give him your back.
Pausing, to listen to him, Sauda's eyes widened a tad. "Pretty lady?" She murmured to herself out loud, partly in shock. She couldn't help her face from redening slightly at the compliment.
He probably doesn't mean it! You're most likely just a pretty meal to him... You can get through this. Just go along with it. Maybe he does just want to help...
Sauda doubted herself, yet took a step forward to speak with him properly. Taking a deep breath in, "Hi." Sauda gulped hard. Nice start.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude." Much better.
"I have seemed to lost my way, and if you would be so kind as to escort me out of this forest, you would have my deep appreciation". Though Sauda knew that her 'appreciation' probably wouldn't be enough.

Gishoni
Gishoni couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. He had seen much worst so at least that was a start, it was part of the reason why he avoided the 'purer' breeds, prefering those of coruption and malice. At least then he was more likely to get a satisified purr as a reaction, the scene played in his mind..... worthy mares purred like the pregnant woman he left behind him, if he had his way this mare would also purr for him. A rolling roar of expectation rumbled in his throat, it was most likely a threatening or strange sound but it was by no means intented to have such effect.... no.... it was simply Gishoni enjoying himself.

The hunt, the challenge, it was all part of the game that he loved so much. And the soft pink blush that covered the mares cheeks was an exotic welcome that he found also so appealing. Controlling his reactions -mostly- he flicked his tail and let her speak, each word causing his ears to flicker softly. "Lost?" He cocked an eyebrow and looked at her, not such a good trait but one that could be overcome easily enough. He gave her a soft a smile before he spoke once more, "Which direction do you need to leave the forest? After all it is rather larger." He chuckled again, enjoying the very prospect of spending time with this interesting creature. Without even thinking about the action he licked his lips and looked to her neck, did she taste as sweet as she looked? He would only take a small amount, never enough to kill or harm, and he only ever took blood from those of worth, after all he didn't wish to polute his body.

Remembering his manners he bowed his head softly and looked at her hooves, delicate and much smaller than his own -interesting. Looking up at her, his eyes shining a bright red through the darkness of the forest canopy he spoke. "My name is Gishoni little lady, and I will tell you now that your very scent intregues me." If she ran she would not be worthy. Backing away to compose herself he would accept, he was not a fool as to not know he was threating -especially since he made every effort to appear so. He added with a lick of his lips, "May I ask you one thing? What are you?"

Sauda
Sauda visibly shivered as she watched the male take in her appearance. She tried to keep her body relaxed, if it turned into a chase, she would be watching to keep her mind straight. And she didn't want to prove to be jumpy. Though he was probably used to that reaction from his prey.
She could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. Sauda felt like a poor, defenseless deer in the eyes of a wolf. If worse came to worse, and he struck, she knew that she would at least be able to run. Flying wasn't her forte, but in a dire situation, she was willing to give it a shot.

When he spoke again, Sauda couldn't help but to listen to his every word. She watched as his spaded tail came into view. She couldn't help but to allow her own lion like tail wrap around her back leg. A nervous tick of her's. Hopefully he wouldn't recognize it as that. "I didn't know that the forest was so large." Glancing around her, Sauda honestly didn't know which way she should be heading. "The direction that would lead me out of here fastest, would probably be the one I want to take. I can't imagine that I've been walking long enough to get to the edge of the other side," She spoke, the later part more to herself than the stallion. Her eyes flickered back to his just in time to see him lick his lips. Oh my goodness
Sauda felt goosebumps on her front legs as he observed her neck. She could almost feel her own pulse where his eyes burned into her. What did he want from her? Could he really restrain himself from hurting her?
Her ears perked up when he introduced himself as Gishoni. The comment of her sent disturbed her slightly, but she knew that it was something that any predator was bound to notice.

"My name is Sauda," she responded in kind, more by habit than anything.
"Well, I'm a mix between many breeds." It was the truth. Sauda knew from her parents that certain breed's blood was more appealing to Kalonas and Skinwalkers. It just so happened that she was a mix between Angeni, Uni, and (As her grandfather told her) Imp. All very pure breeds. She could only imagine that her blood would be a pure ambrosia to any predator. With fangs like his, it wouldn't be difficult for him to drain a mare her size, dry.
"May I ask what you are?" Sauda questioned, hoping silently that he wouldn't ask her what specific breed she was.

((for some reason it won't let me edit my previous post.....))

Gishoni
Gishoni couldn't resist but smile at he comments, by her wanting to find the closest ways to escape the forest he could only assume she had been lost for a while but figured she was not far from the egde -she was wrong, but he would indulge her fantasy. Looking around he noticed the direction of her previous hooves and knew that the forest exit was not too far in that direction -they would come out near a lake. Gishoni had been to this forest many times in his life, and despite the fact he lived in cave in the mountains now he knew this forest very well.

"Ok then beautiful, this way." He flashed the most charming smile he could and started in teh direction he had already decided upon... if things went well he would just have to take a small detour as an excuse to spend more time with her, after all he had the feeling she would run away as soon as she knew where she was... or maybe she would once she knew WHAT he was? Not ashamed by any means of his genetics he spoke with confidence and a soft purr rolled of his lips, "I, my dear, are a full-blooded Kalona." He licked his lips once more, she really did seem to be born of the purest of all the races, something that usually turned hm away but there was something interesting about her -he wanted to know where her mutation came from, but he would not ask more on the subject. Turning he grinned at her, "There is nothing wrong with being a mix of course.... and from the looks of you it has worked to your advantage." He gave her a wink and continued to lead her through the forest.

That was what she had expected. Hearing it, oddly, made her feel better. Gishioni didn't act like he wanted to take a bite out of her. Sauda figured that if he was going to try to eat her, that he would have already tried striking out. And if he was the kinda who just wanted to play with his food... No. Sauda thought. Gishoni didn't look like a half breed, so the odds of him being safe was small. But as it was, her parents had taught her well and with a straightening of her spine, she decided that she would at least try to trust him.
"Th- Thank you," Sauda said, slightly shaken at his compliment. A small smile flickered across her lips. "I'm told that I look like a perfect mix between my mother and father," Her coat matched her father's wonderfully, and she received the most of her mother's physical traits. The only thing missing was the Uni horn, that didn't find its way onto her forehead while she was still in her mother's belly. Sauda made sure to keep in step with the large Kalona. "Do you know what your parents looked like?" Sauda asked, not thinking that it could have been a sensitive topic for the male.

Gishoni actually like her feeling uncomfortable, it made hr pulse race below the surface and leave a healthy glow to her pelt. He could hear it, and could swear it was able to smell the thick iron liquid that gave her life. He licked the inside of his mouth since he was unable to get rid of the reaction completly and didn't want her to see him licking his lips.

Of course the happy feeling didn't last long as she asked him of his parents. Turning to face her he snapped at her -far more aggressive that he had wanted to be with- "Do not mention things that do not concern you!" His voice had erupted like a roar, the concentration of his anger was glowing bright red in his eyes as he looked to the mare and then forced his gaze away from her from fear of harming her and then losing the chance to test her worth. Sometimes the impulse to find worth made him almost go against his nature. He was a lonor most of the time, enjoying only the company of Mishua. Which reminded him... where was the little wolf?

"MISHA!" He roared as he looked around swiftly, "Where the hell are you woman!" As always it didn't take long for the wolf to appear, her ears where low on her head but her eyes kept his gaze as always. She knew when to be submissive to him, and although he would not admit it out loud he actually regretted harming her in his hazy raged states that he sometimes found himself comsumed by.

"Gishoni?!" She said, tilting her and watcing her master. She was jeaous that he was in the company of another but at the same time it was nice to see him actually attempt to be nice for a change. "I was scouting the area. Do you need me?"

He growled low in his throat at the wolf, she was doing it on purpose and he knew it. He flashed his canines in warning to her. The last thing he wanted was to scare Sauda off now. "Report." he barked.

She smiled at him, but lowered herself to the ground -afterall she didn't have a death wish. "Nothing in the area that could be considered a threat."

Gishoni smiled nodded and then dismissed her with a turn of his head, he was much calmer again now. The distraction had been just what he needed. As he looked at Sauda he heard the footsteps of Misha as she returned to the forest out of view. Good. "So.... what brought you to the forest this time of the day anyway?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:41 am
With a startled gasp, Sauda stumbled backwards away from the furious male. She stood staring in shock, while her heart screamed at her to run. Sauda had thought that Gishoni had looked frightening without his anger. He didn't attack me, he just yelled... that's showing alot of control for their breed, right? "I-" Sauda coughed and took a deep breath in. "I'm sorry,"
She whispered quickly. The reaction that she had recieved from him shocked her. Did he even know his parents. She frowned at her own stupidity.

Just as she was about to take a hesitant step forwards, he begain to call out for "Misha" and asking where she was. Oh no... dumbdumbdumb. Now you've done it. Her heart was beating like a drum against her chest, as she felt the blood rush away from her face. He was calling for his mate, wasn't he? Sauda felt so foolish, as she stood paralized in fear. She had angered him, and he deemed playing with his food a waste of time... and was now calling back up. Though before she could react or start to move, a wolf appeared infront of them. Sauda just stared at the smaller animal. She missed their entired conversation due to her relief. He wasn't going to eat her? Sauda hadn't noticed that she had stopped breathing, until the wolf dissapeared back into the forest. Taking a gasping breath in, her eyes flickered back over to Gishoni.

Taking her time in replying to him- she didn't want to sound like an idiot with all of her stuttering-, Sauda remembered the reason why she had traveled this far away from home. "Flowers," She said after a short while. A smile unconciously found its way onto her face once more. "I left home at dawn. It didn't take me too long to get here, because I flew." Sauda blushed, "I found myself in this forest not too soon after, and have been here ever since." She added as an after thought " And I haven't even seen any flowers yet."

Gishoni tried to ignore the disaster that had occured moments before, instead he focused on what he has asked and her reply. He grunted and tried not to growl too much although the sound was low in the back of his throat he didn't know if she would hear it or not.

Yet he was literally forced to stop in his tracks by her answer. "Flowers?" He whispered, more to himself than to her. He looked around him and then up at the canopy above before speaking to her once more, "it's not exactly the right place. They need sun to grow beautiful..." unable to resist the opportunity to flatter her he flashed her a grin as unthreatening as he could muster, "just like you. My beautiful little Sun Goddess." He winked a her and continued forward.

It was getting to the point now where he could folk to the left and delay their exit of the forest or continue right and get out sooner. Not really needing to think about it he turned left. He was curious about her, and the fact that his temper had not sent her running scared made him all the more interested him. Yes..... she could be worthy.

"So...." he looked to the large wings on her head, "don't they hinder flight?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:31 pm
Sauda paused in step when Gishoni came to a complete stop. Her eyes followed his as he looked up to the heavy canopy above them. Only a few rays of sunlight made it through the leaves and branches above. The smile on her face widened as he comments that the flowers that she was looking for wouldn't grow in the darkness of the forest. Then, he went on to surprise Sauda by paying her a not so subtle compliment. It felt like her face was on fire. Did he just wink at me?
She wasn't used to flattery. Of course, her family always paid her compliments, but that was to be expected. Getting a compliment from a large, strong -intimidating-, Kalona male on the other hand... that was quite unexpected. "Sun Goddess?" Sauda blinked. Her father might disagree with that. While Sauda loved being out in the sun, she felt much more safe in the shadows. There was always a comfort there, that she missed when out in the light. She felt more exposed there, where anything could be watching her. However, a compliment was a compliment, and her stomach still flipped around happily. "You like flowers?" Sauda asked shyly. Never before had she ever thought that she'd be in a situation where she would ask a Kalona that question.
The headwings in question flexed, flaring out before returning back to their original position. The muscles in the sides of her neck twitched as they wings moved. "Hmmm. When I fly, I try to keep them close to my neck." Sauda stepped around a rather nastly looking log on the ground. "When I was still a foal, they would hinder my sight." She had a few nasty landings the first couple of times she tried flying. "But I got used to them over time." She chirped happily. "Now, I hardly notice them." Since he got to ask a question about her, Sauda spoke up about something she had been wondering. "Do your teeth ever get in the way? They're so... big." Her red eyes blinked curiously, her head ducking slightly just incase he took offense to her question.

Gishoni kept up with easily, his large stride allowing him to cover large ground with ease. He laughed, actually laughed at her question before cocking an eyebrow at her and watching her intently. "Do I look like I am a flower kind of guy?" He chuckled some more and continued walking, "I am just observant." His voice was gruff, almost a growl as he spoke. It was something he often tried to control when he wasn't around others of his kind but no matter how hard anyone tried it was near impossible to hold back on ones true nature for long.

As her next question landed on his ears he snapped his teeth at her, she had already ducked in a flinch like motion and it was starting to annoy him, "Do I scare you little one?" He red eyes glowed brighter in the darkness as he looked her, her blood was so tempting and despite everything he never drank from those unwilling. He didn't always ask, sometimes the acceptance was clear through other actions, but he knew that this mare would taste sweet despite the unlikelyhood she would ever permit such an act. "As for you question..." he said as he started to walk again in an effort to seek a distraction, "I suppose they do get in the way for certain acts." He would not hide his nature from her, if she delved further with her questions he would simply tell her the truth..... the truth would probably scare her most of all.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude or anything." Sauda paused to give him a hesitant half smile " But you must try to understand. You're probably the biggest creatures that I've met... ever. I can't help but to be cautious." Sauda looked to fit in a compliment of her own. "I doubt that you would have to put almost any effort in hurting me." Her face brightened up "I'm very happy that you haven't." A spark of curiosity lit up in Sauda's eyes. A half of her wasn't sure that she'd want to know what kind of 'acts' that would pertain to Gishoni's use of his fangs, outside of hunting and eating. It was probably best not to ask when she still didn't know much about him.

He chuckled softly, the sound taking him by suprise for a moment. It had been a while since a laugh that was unforced had left his lips of its own accord, he.... liked it. "Well, I can not say you are the smallest creature I have seen since I have met Flutters and foals, but you are a wee thing, but not too much so... puuurfect." The last word seemed to leave his throat as a rumbling purr.

"Cautious is good...." he turned to look at her, taking in her delicate features once more. She really was a beautiful unique creature, he longed to know more about her but didn't want to seem to eager. Instead he kept the conversation to things he understood, and fear was definatly something he was a master of. "...you never know when something longs to do you harm. I.... for now at least," again he couldn't bring himself to lie to her, "...have no intention of harming you." Mislead you, yes. Have you for my own, yes. Kill you, no. "I would like to brag that I am the biggest thing around but I am sure that is not true. I have met a.... large Angeni for one." And although most would consider him the opposite company that any Angeni would play host to he had infact met two, one was a beautiful mare who had slipped through his trap by the name of Terentia, the other had been a herd protector by the name of Maion. Both had... intreguied him. But still, he could not be anything other than his nature. And his nature liked blood.

"I wonder little one,"
he started before he could stop himself, "if we were to become friends would you let me take any of your blood?" He raised his eyebrow in anticipation as he watched her, he would never force himself on a female, especially not one that he was fascinated by... but still, he liked the idea of taking some of her blood. Never enough to be missed, but enough to.... invigorate him.

Sauda blushed at Gishoni's purr. He was like a big kitty-cat. A big kitty-cat that could big off her face at any given moment.
Luckily, his next words calmed her fears towards that happening. One thing he said caught her attention. "You've met an Angeni before?" Sauda's eyes lit up. Maybe he had met one of her family members then! "I'm part Angeni, you know." There was a hop of happiness in each of her steps. She was always proud to talk about her family. "My grandma was an Angeni! And then my auntie Rose, and my auntie Terentia," She spoke, her eyes practically glittering with happiness. Sauda knew that she had been blessed coming into such a wonderful and close knitted family.
Gishoni's next question took her by surprise though. She almost paused in step to ponder what he had just asked. "Well, I..." Was this how Kalona's... flirted with each other? Offers of blood? The thought caused a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach that she couldn't identify with. Though she hadn't felt discusted at his question. The only thing that she would be worried about was starting a chain of events that would eventually lead to him having more than just some of her blood. She didn't want him taking a chunk of her flesh out too. What would her mother say?
I've got to live a little. I don't think that it'd be something I'd regret if it didn't result in death, right? "I don't think that it be a problem. You'd just take blood though, right?" Maybe it'd help him repress his urge to take a big bite out of her! Sauda smiled up at the large Kalona and winked "But that's only if we become friends,"

"Terentia....." At her annoucement of Terentia being her aunty Gishoni stopped dead. Jaw hanging slightly open in suprise. What a small world... but how could this creature be related to Terentia? She looked nothing like her, Terentia had a pelt as white as snow with hair of raven black with glistening highlights of gold, the darkness of her eyes was anything but blank but spoke of the warmth that radiated within her.... yet Sauda was her opposite, pelt of darkest niht, and hair jet black and blood red that echoed her eyes. Perhaps it was the few bone markings that covered her overwise unmarked pelt that struck him as odd in comparrison to Terentia, but she was only her aunty and Gishoni had never met any of her siblings.

His own three children where as different as North, South and East but they all had many striking resemblences to him and their mother, he was proud of them all in many ways.

Part of him should have been appauled by Sauda after learning this news but he couldn't bring himself to feel so. Especially now that he had such confirmation that she was indeed young... but she was... interesting.

Her answer to his own question however removed any doubts in his mind, he even found himself licking his lips in anticipation. The very thought that she was not appauled by the idea of him drinking from her delighted him, so... he just needed to become her friend? Easy enough, he was already on the way surely... after all he had been her Knight in shining Darkness and come to help her to safety. "That... pleases me." He said in a low growl before continuing towards her with a new skip in his step.

"You know my aunt?" Sauda asked, surprised when he repeated her name. Her aunt hadn't ever mentioned meeting a kalona before. Her herd wasn't very accepting of Kalona's though. It wasn't something that one would brag about. Sauda hadn't met anything more than a half blood kalona before meeting Gishoni, and he wasn't a vicious beast. Neither was Gishoni, as far as Sauda could tell.
The look in his eyes changed after she mentioned that it wouldn't be all too weird if she shared her blood with him. It made her feel slightly nervous.

Remembering Terentia he nodded softly to Suada's question, and stared into his memories for long moments before he finally spoke; "Yes, I knew her once, a long time ago... so much so it is more like a dream than a memory." A dream that he both loved and hated!

Trying to faint nonchalance on the subject he finally asked, his curiousity too much to bear; "How is she? It has been a long time." It was true, but part of Gishoni would always remember her as the mare that got away, the one that could have stolen his heart if she had been brave enough to tangle with the beast... and even after all this time Gishoni believed that someone else had had a hoove her never returning to his side, perhaps there had always been a mate waiting for her... or maybe, just maybe she had been prevented from seeking him once more? Wishful thinking perhaps.

Concentrating again on the new development at hoove he asked, in his playfully curious yet at the same nonchalant manner of his while he started to walk her out of the forest once more, "How does one become your friend Suada?"
