It was a cool, breezy day in the meadow where a liquid blue Hind was lazing about. Just to sit and watch the wind move the tall grass made Zydra feel happy and serene. Life in this place was so much different that her old home, so much more peaceful. She would spend her days doing nothing more but watching the fields and flowers, and the occasional fawn.
Thinking of fawns, Zydra lifted her head a little more to scan the area, wondering where her favorite one had disappeared to. She had been all kinds of excited the day before, saying she had been working on something secret. But then again, with Snow, that could mean just about anything.

Snow was trotting through the meadow with her head held high; her legs pulling up close to her body as she made her way through the field looking as if she was a trained horse. Her hair swished back and forth as she moved through the tall grass; looking for Zydra. She wondered where she was hiding... Snow wished she was taller... if she was taller she would have been able to find Zydra much easier. She let out a huff of a sigh as she stopped and blew at her bangs in an annoyed fashion.
Looking around a few more times Snow realized she probably wasn't going to be able to find Zydra at this rate. She jumped a few times to get the length of her body out of the grass a bit at least.
"ZYDRA!" She called out looking around as she jumped. "ZYDRA WHERE ARE YOU?"

As if on cue, Zydra herd her name being called out. By Snow, of course. A pleasant smile spread across her face as she stood up, her body halfway swallowed by the tall grass. "I am here, Snow. Stay where you are, I'll find you." Stretching her head up as much as she could, Zydra saw the little path that Snow must have created in her search. And there, she saw the cute blue fawn pronk above the grass level. Her smile widened into a grin at the girl's antics.
A moment later she pushed through the grass and leaned down to nuzzle her friend. "I apologize for the workout I caused you in finding me. How are you my dear?"

Snow stopped immediately when Zydra told her to and waited for her to find her. She looked up at the sky and squinted a bit; trying to figure out around what sort of time it was in the day. Not that it mattered... Snow was still young; she didn't have to worry about any of that... but she always felt a bit silly when she didn't know if it was closer to dusk or dawn.
When Zydra was there though she smiled up at her and nuzzled her back sweetly nosing at her under her chin gently. "It wasn't that bad." She told her giggling slightly; even though her legs were a bit shaky from the work out.
She shook out her body and smiled up to her slightly. "I'm fine! I want to show you something though!" She chimed excitedly turning around in circles a few rotations before stopping to look up at Zydra again. A bit dizzy her head moving slightly. "which way is the quickest way to the water? I can only show you this in the water."

She giggles as Snow shook out, rather "The water? Uhm. This way, I believe." Zydra pushes her way through the grass easily, using her tail to make a buffer between it and the smaller Snow. But not long she leads them to the edge of the meadow, easier walking for them both. "Maybe a few minutes from here?" With a curious look down at her friend, she starts the short path towards a pond. "Can you really not show me now?" She giggles, sniffing the air as the smell of moisture begins to fill her lungs. "Ah, here we are. Not far at all~. Now what is it~?!" Her tail swishes happily, ears pricked up in excitement.

Snow followed after Zydra closely; not wanting to lose her or to get hit by the grass either. Not that it bothered her of course but if Zydra was going to lend her tail to help her keep it out of her face and hair; she was happy to accept it. A small excited and proud smile was on her face as she moved behind her; and when the grass wasn't so tall she moved to Zydra's side and looked around.
"No Zydra I can't!" She told her as if she'd explained this a hundred times. "I've got to do it in the water otherwise it doesn't work!" She explained for the hundredth and first time to her friend. She sniffed the hair as well and her nose got a bit colder with it.
She walked into the small pond and smiled up at Zydra full of excitement and pride; "Ok watch this." she told her. Dropping her head down and looking at the water intently. She wondered what she should make for Zydra.... maybe a daisy?

Zydra chuckled softly as she was chastised by the younger hind. And that was their friendship, Zydra loved it. Snow might be younger but she acted as if that didn’t matter. She had finally found a friend. A real friend! It made her shiver with excitement just thinking about it.. Or was the temperature dropping?
At the water’s edge, he stood silently behind Snow. Zydra peered curiously at what was going to happen, wondering just what trick it might be. Sure she had noticed before Snow was colder in body than most hinds, but maybe now she had some magical powers~! Quickly stopping her train of thought before she got too excited to disturb Snow. Tilting her head, she began to focus on the water as much as Snow was.

Snow didn't think much about being Zydra's friend; not in a bad way of course; she just thought it was so natural that it wasn't such a big deal to her. Even though Zydra TOTALLY WAS Snow's best friend (including Calix and Chalice). And she knew that was how it was going to be for the rest of her life.
Snow stared into the water for a long time as she tried her best to concentrate on what she was doing. It took her a few minutes; and put a bit of a strain on her; but finally she did it!! "You're gonna really like this Zydra!"
She exclaimed excitedly; reaching her head down; and pushing through the ice on the top to pull out a frozen ice daisy. It was fatter then a normal daisy; and larger to be sure. But that was becuase if it wasn't then it would be too delicate to handle.
She looked up at Zydra with a wide smile on her face; the stem between her teeth. "Do you like it?" She asked around the thing in her mouth.

It took her a moment to process what she was seeing. And then another moment of the shock and confusion that ran through her brain and over her face. And then everything finally caught up and her eyes went wide as she grinned. "OH. MY. GAURDIAN. SNOW!!" She pronked like a fawn from the excitement, her tail swishing about wildly behind her in happiness. "THAT is the most beautiful thing I have EVER seen!!!" She gave a little squeal of joy and stopped moving about so much to gaze at it closer. "It's truely for me? SNOW!" Her body wiggled with pent up excitement. "You are SO talented!"
With a deep breath she sighed, releasing all the energy and excitement. "There. I'm all better now." She giggled, leaning forward to carefully take the flower from Snow's charge.

Snow almost dropped the daisy when got so excited. She wasn't sure what to say or how to react. Zydra seemed really excited about this... but she didn't think it was such a big deal. Maybe she was wrong? When Zydra told her it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen Snow got a little embarrassed. It wasn't THAT good... at least not to her... When she asked if it was for her she nodded her head and motioned for her to lower her own; before tucking the flower into Zydra's hair; laying it behind her ear. When she'd put it into place she pulled away and frowned.
"I wish it didn't melt..." She told her sadly. "It's so small and thin... It'll melt in an hour at least." She admitted a bit frustrated. If she'd been touching it; it could have stayed frozen for ever; but the moment it leaves her clutch; it's done for sure.
"But I'm glad you like it so much." She said a proud smile on her face. she liked making her friends happy; and she liked to see them smile.

Zydra tried to stay still, so it wouldn't fall out, but she couldn't help but walk over to the water and peer down. "I love it. Oh Snow~ Even if it does melt, it's still so beautiful~"
She stood back up and turned to her friend. "Think what you could do when you get even better. Make an entire thicket for yourself out of ice, on a lake even!" Zydra wiggled happily at the thought, "A beautiful ice crystal forest~ Oh, everyone will admire you for your talent, I just know it." With a giggle she leaned in to nuzzle Snow. "And if they don't, you can poke them with your nose and startle them with a cold chill!"

Snow tried to think of something like that... a home for her made out of ice... But if she had something like that; then no one would be able to come and visit her! Zydra and Calix wouldn't be able to she was certain, and that made her a little upset at the thought. As pretty as it would be, she was certain it wouldn't turn out for the best. So she threw the thought from her mind.
"I don't think I'll ever be that good." She said shyly splashing some water in the shallows as she said so. "It takes a lot of concentration and energy to make stuff out of ice... I don't think it would be able to stay up for very long." She added on laughing a bit.
She looked up at Zydra a big smile her face as she nuded her with her colder than normal nose. "I already do that silly!" She said laughing like a child and trotting out of the water happy with herself. "Besides!" She continued on now on dry land. "I don't want everyone to admire me; becuase then that would mean lots more people would come to talk to me and you know I don't do well in big groups."
