Mzio yawned, it was getting dark and he had to find a place to sleep. He had a busy day of hunting and watching the wonderful clouds glide by. This was the one thing he didn't like the rouge land. It was so vast and dangerous place, that you had to walk for miles to find a good sleeping spot to hide in. He was never good at looking for places to sleep, wither they were too could or too nosy. He wish that one day he could find the perfect sleeping spot and then keep it to himself, that would be just wonderful. Looking up to the moon he walked on looking for his perfect spot.Mikaile was cranky. It was hard not to be, though, with his stomach scratching and complaining. He had been waiting for his twin to return from...well, where ever he had wandered off too, but he was far too impatient now. He wasn't very good at waiting or any other form of self-control, really. Runaih wouldn't be surprised later when he found him gone.
So Mikaile crouched low in the tall grasses, moving along quickly and as quietly as his large body would allow. He wasn't usually the stealthy type; he was the brawn, not meant for surprise attacks. But he was on his own for now, so he did his best and searched the dark for some bit of prey. After a while of roaming he heard something, but found himself down wind of...whatever it was. At this point he didn't care what it was. He was hungry. He crouched low, maw wrinkled in a snarl, and waited.
Mzio walked along and started to hum a little tune. It help him move along in the dark, it made him seem like he wasn't the only one out here. He smiled and looked up to the stars. He always was thankful for them because it made it light outside even though it was night. Looking at the brightest star, he nodded and followed it's path. It was always helpful to followed that star. That star always led him to a goodnight of sleep. Humming his tune a little more he headed into the grass. He hoped that no one else was in here because the grass clouded his vision and he didn't want to bump into anyone.
A lot of animal seem more anger when it was nighttime. But for Mzio he never grew anger at this time, it was just a time to go look for a place to sleep and sleep. Why be anger when you can just stay clam and hope for a goodnight sleep. This always confused him. Maybe it was that animals had a hard night or was looking for food. Which was troublesome in itself as most animals weren't out at this time. He look up at the star again and kept humming. Not only did the animal's sounds grow nearer, but they changed...they changed to song. Mikaile let out a inaudible snort. The cheerful mood of the creature he was stalking only grated against his poor one. His ears fell back as his irritation grew and he quickened his pace a little. He was close...he was almost there...
The song was so loud now he could barely stand it. Tensing his muscles he paused, took a silent breath inward, and then sprung out from the cover of the grass. He roared, claws extended and fangs bared as he jumped right at...the hyena?
The poor fellow didn't see it coming. He kept humming his tune and happily looking up to his star for his sleeping spot to notice that he was about to get attack. Looking up seeing the lion about to pounce he jump back to only get claw in the face. Bleeding out of his right cheek he yelp in pain. Moving father back to try and get away from anymore danger. He blinked, what in the world was going on. He had no clue and he place a paw on the bleeding cheek and whimper. Was this crazed lion trying to hunt him or was just mad and wanted to attack him. Trying to look a bit tougher he gave a small growl and whimper from the pain it gave him.He was so confused he had what this lion's deal was, "Hey! What was that for?" he asked still very confused. Mikaile took a small step back, not out of intimidation, but out of disappointment. He retracted his claws and sighed, looking frustrated. He couldn't have been a zebra or a meerkat or even a mouse? He had no desire to eat a hyena though. Other carnivors always tasted nasty and though he was hungry he didn't feel like steeping that low. He wasn't starving after all.
"You just had to be a hyena, didn't you?" Mikaile growled in irritation as if it were his fault. "Man what a waste. That was a nice shot too."
Mzio looked a bit surprise, did he actually make the lion scared? He wasn't sure after he sighed but he was happy that he put away his claws. He knew that he was not going to get attacked again, which made him very happy because he knew that he would not win against a lion of his strength. He patted his cheek again and looked down and sigh also. Why couldn't he been more aware and then he wouldn't be bleeding right. He looked up as he talk and tilted his head. He wasn't sure what the heck the was suppose to mean, but he nodded his head and spoke, "I'm sorry I guess."
Thinking about he knew that the lion must been hunting and thought he game. He laugh at the thought but kept his distance. "You should be," Mikaile growled with a roll of his eyes. He glared at the hyena, shifting his muscles much the way a snake tenses in the grass. "I should bash you up just to make up for it...ugh, could have caught something by now."
His ears pressed back a little more. The laugh the hyena made was terribly annoying. His patience was already low. He showed his teeth again, this time in a crude grin of poor humor, "I'd stop that cackling if I were you. I could still take you down...I'm irritated enough." Though not hungry enough, he'd admit.
Well this lion was really rude. He was just being nice. He didn't have to say anything, actually. If Mzio wasn't a hyena for fighting he would make that lion shut his mouth. He snarl at him at his next saying. He had no right to say that. "You're a rude lion. You better watch what you're saying" he said trying to aty tough. He had enough of his mean talk and he was not going to stand for it.
His hair stand up. This was a first in awhile for Mzio. He was not a hyena for fights but this lion was just taking it too far. He was just being plain rude and that was not nice. He frown and snarl again. Well if he wanted him to stop then he was just going to keep going. Laughing a few times his stuck his tongue out at him and laugh one more time before grining at him. This hyena was betting on the wrong lion. Others might have shown some sympathy or even self-control, but Mikaile...well, he was the definition of impulsive. And unfortunately his impulse was to shut this stupid hyena up.
Mikaile's claws were out again within a second and he lashed out with a quick burst of power. He wasn't as smart as some of his brothers, or as fast, but he had a lot of muscle. There was no doubting that fact. This hyena was nothing, nothing compared to the harsh desert he had been raised in. Mzio should have kept his mouth shut...normally Mikaile found beating up on weaklings boring. Today seemed to be an exception.
Mzio felt a bit prideful that he was able to stand up for himself. Usual he would back away but someone like this was just not the lion to back away from. He was rude and mean, something that Mzio just did not like. He could stand mean but he just couldn't stand rude. Mzio guard was up from the start that he said that he was going to bash him up. He just couldn't trust someone that was saying that. Mzio might not be thought or really strong ut one thing he had was speed. Which help him get away from a bigger attack by the lion the first time. Walking and running around the rouge lands help him keep and gain his speed. So if this lion was slow then maybe he get a few strikes in before leaving. He just wanted to show this lion that he was someone that he shouldn't be rude too.
Luckily for Mzio he was right and when he saw his claw come out he was ready to run and maybe hit him with surprise. When he attack he ran and hid in the grass. He was glad it was dark. He could jump out and attack him and run back in. He lightly let out some air and put of his claws. He was ready to hit and ran out as fast as he could and try to swipe at the lion."Chh." How annoying. This hyena was like a mouse; nothing dangerous, to be sure, but a bit quick so that spilling its blood required actual investment of energy. It wasn't something he hadn't seen before, but that didn't improve his mood. What a drag. If he was going to work, he wanted to eat.
He stayed still as the hyena raced about and when he lashed out Mikaile didn't dodge-no, he knew he wasn't fast enough for that-but instead he hit back. And he hit hard. He was definately stronger and heavier than this annoyance and sooner or later the hyena wouldn't be able to take it, while Mikaile was prepared, trained even, to keep going.
Mzio was happy that he was able to doge and might get a hit in but when strike he gleam in happiness. But that didn't last long. When he was about to race back to the satfy of the grass he was hit and hard, pushing his back in the grass just by pure strength. He was hurt but not badly. He was bleeding from the right side of his body but Mzio knew that if he keep hitting this lion that he would just get hit back with more froce and sooner or later he would fall. He had to think about himself and he knew that it was time to back down.
Mzio was happy that he got in a hit but he was not happy that he was bleeding from two parts of his body. He sight and race away from the lion sight. Even though this wasn't the prideful way to leave he wanted to live on to a see another day. He frown and look up to the star and hope to find a sleeping spot soon."Hmph, well it seems the mouse had a brain after all," Mikaile muttered to himself gruffly. He stretched out his legs, allowing the flex to burn the few small cuts he had sustained. Well, it hadn't been food, but he supposed it had been better than being bored. He almost felt satisfied. Just as that thought crossed his mind, however, his stomach reminded him of the cause of his unhappiness. Grunting he headed off through the grass, off to search the night for a real meal.
