The days were starting to merge together now that he was home. Things were looking up, his life was starting to come back together again and though his whole family was lost to the quake, he was finding it difficult not to enjoy the simple fact that he was home, that he had a home, that this was his home now.
Having taken up home with Tili, a friend he remembered from those days as a youngster. It had become a free and easy time for him though wandering around trying to get the lay of the land was difficult. Every time he thought he knew a place, something had changed but he could still see the valley of his childhood in the land around him and that at least made him a bit happy.
Still he knew as the days ebbed by that he had to go and find Ngeo and speak to her about becoming a guard. Days of easy living and simply slobbing couldn't just carry on endlessly even if it felt good to do so at the moment. A thud on his head reminded him what he was doing. "Tomorrow Fai we'll go and offer our services, I think we've lazed enough don't you?"
The steely blue falcon clacks her beak and takes a strand of his mane in her mouth "If you think so Lor'dah" She whistles her words, she knew her friend couldn't sit still forever, she knew he was finding it hard staying still having traveled for so long. "Maybe we should get you some food then if you're going to work? it's been a few days you should try and eat something."
The slender lion nods his head "You're right of course." he chuckles, he had become so accustomed to only eating when desperately necessary that he had forgotten he should eat regularly, that he could now eat often. it was a hard habbit to get out of he was discovering, eating when he should and not just waiting. "Lets go and find out if anyone has made a kill and will let us have some hmm?" he smiles, he was a useless hunter and usually depended on the kindness of others or on Fais skill at diving on rabbits. She had kept him fed half the time on their journey.
"Sounds like a plan." She whispers with a whistely click of her beak keeping herself perched on his head with a strand of his mane firmly clenched in her mouth, using it as a sort of rains or handle to keep herself steady on his head.
