Tsensu layed his tired body next to the calming falls of Mirage Pass. He had only heard stories from his parents about the falls, but now he could see it with his own eyes. The water slamming against the smooth stones at the base of the falls demonstrated to Tsensu how powerful water can be. So gently was the mist glazing his fur with droplets, it soothed his worn body. How he remembers that only minutes ago he felt like he was running for the falls for dear life. His heart called him here, he has always felt he was ment to be here. This could well explain the symbol on his right hind leg, meaning "Water Spirit." Tsensu rest his head and listened to the roar of water falling.

The light colored wolf lifted her nose from the ground that she was smelling. She was trying to remember the way to the falls. She had been wanting to go there for a while to hang out and relax. Her wounds were fully healed and she was coming back from her training session. She was still a little sore where and there but for her that was no reason for her to stop. However one thing was for sure was that she really excited to be able to go out and train for a little while.
She paused for a moment and sniffed the air in front of her the smell of water rushing to her nose. She had to be very close. She started to trot into the direction of the water with a grin on her face, wagging her tail slightly as she walked. She knew that most of the time not many others were in the water when she headed in this direction so she was sure it was going to be the same. She paused mid trot for a moment thinking as she did. Why not get a little extra training out of this.
With a smirk she was off. Running in the direction that she was already heading. A large grin was on her face as she went. Her mind was clear and she was calm as she ran. She was going to enjoy herself. She pushed her way through the bushes excitedly and looked around. Making sure no one else was there. She could be aloof at times. She was very unsure of herself around other wolves. But she didn't notice anyone and she thought the coast was clear. But as she moved closer to the water she caught the smell of something else. There was another wolf around.
She sighed slightly and went to start going the other way hoping that he wouldn't see her. She moved sneakily. However because she was so focused on wandering away she didn't see the large rock... That she stubbed her paw on. She let out a loud yelp and stumbled backward. Well there went her cover...

The loud yelp brought Tsensu to his feet in a hurry. He was caught off guard by the noise and quickly scanned the area in which the sound came from.
It was another wolf, lightly colored, almost blending into the mist of the falls. Tsensu was attracted to the blue markings on her fur, it reminded him of himself, and brought back memories of his brother teasing him about having such a dark coat with bright blue everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but it seemed like it to Tsensu sometimes.
He sniffed the air, trying to identify her. He decided to step her way, carefully watching her, observing whether she was friend or foe. Then he spoke "That sounded like it hurt."

Great what she wanted to not happen of course happened. She tense up at the sound of the other's foot steps approaching. She shook her coat for a moment getting the feeling of the mist off of her fur and also slightly getting rid of the tense feeling that she had. However she still wasn't a big fan of the other creature coming her way. She didn't trust other wolves much and the fact that the other one was coming her way and she didn't know him made her nervous.
"Yeah it did." She said quickly and sharply. She pulled herself back up to her feet and pulled herself back together mentally before speaking again. "It mostly just startled me." She mumbled a little quietly before looking around. She knew she couldn't run away. There was no way that she could just wander away from the male. she didn't like strangers but she didn't like being mean either. "Um... so is that all?" She asked curiously half of the way wandering to wander away but she still knew that she couldn't just do that.
She blinked as she realized what she said, it must of sounded pretty rude. She grunted for a moment as she flopped back so she could sit on her haunches not wanting to be even more rude. "I mean um... was it the only reason you wandered over here... Her voice trailed, she was never sure how to handle herself around strangers she always thought they were criticizing her as soon as they met her.

Tsensu was greatly confused. He knew she wanted to get away from him, he could see it in the way she moved. But then she just stopped herself. She let him know she was nervous with the impolite response, as if she was excusing herself from their encounter. Tsensu didn't know how to go about meeting someone new. The only wolves he knew was apart of his family. There was never strange encounters like this. He decided that if he was friendly then maybe she wouldn't go away, he didn't press his luck by walking any closer and risk her fleeing. He stood from a comfortable distance.
"I'm sorry if I startled you. You gave me quite a start too." He forced a small smile. He was nervous as well. Thinking back to her question he answered "Oh, and I'm here because...." Tsensu didn't really know why himself. He was drawn here. He thought quickly and finished "...I have a thing for water." He couldn't help but smile at himself for such a stupid response.
"So what about you?" He was reffering to the reason why she had come.

Lithium tensed a little more when the male got closer. Sure she felt a lot more comfortable around males above anything else but the fact that she didn't know the male just didn't help anything. She licked her ilps for a moment before nodding slightly. "I apologize for scaring you." She said a little quietly before flicking her hair fur away from her eyes then letting out a small sigh.
"I like the water to." She said quickly for a moment before then nodded at him, trying to think quietly to herself she was trying to take her mind off what was going on. "I'm... I'm just going to relax." She grunted for a moment then wiggled her toes looking down at them still trying to take her mind off of the situation.

Now Tsensu thought she was playing a waiting game. They were both uncomfortable in eachother's presence and yet no one semed willing to leave. He thought she was waiting for him to leave so she can do what she wanted to do at the falls without his eyes looking over her.
Tsensu's father's side started to pur inside of him. He thought of how his father treated his mother, always throwing out flirty comments and keeping his voice cool. He always made her smile. And now he wanted to make the lightly colored she-wolf smile. He felt something for her. Was it the color of her fur? The pale blue eyes afraid to make contact with his? He didn't know.
Tsensu took a breath in, and let it out, as if retiring his nervousness. "I'm Tsensu."

Lithium was trying her hardest to stay around but part of her just wanted to sneak away. She looked at him trying to figure out the right moment to wander away and find something else to do however at the same time she had a feeling that she couldn't just do that. She seriously didn't want to be rude. She sighed slightly then nodded toward him. It looked like she wasn't going to be going anywhere. It looked as if she was going to be staying here for at least some time.
"My name is Litihium." She half grunted, her normally motherly voice was it's gruff style that she was around other wolves that she didn't know. She normally wasn't used to the other wolves around her and she normally got really gruff aroundd them. "it's nice to meet you."

"Lithium? That's a pretty name. Very unique." Her name was very unique indeed. It made Tsensu want to question about her origins. But instead he was attempting to flatter her. He looked her over, admiring her fur. Then he spoke "Forgive me for staring but..." He stopped mid scentence. Something changed the mood, it made Tsensu's fur stand on end. His eye's widened as he looked past the female. He scensed something comming, something evil, his stomache started to twist in knots.
A low growl came out. "Did you bring something with you?" He questioned the she-wolf.

Lithium looked at the male and arched a small brow that was a moment she always got. She was almost always hearing about how 'different' her name was. It bothered her often but it was something that she could shove off her shoulders after rolling her eyes once or twice. But she was over it now and then nodded toward him. "than you, I get that often." She chuckled quietly then flicked her tail behind her.
She turned toward the forest after giving the male an odd look. She shook he rhead as she looked back at him and huffed slightly. "No Id di not." She said very simply in response to him. She was a little annoyed at the fact that she came out here, there was some one else out here now something strange was going on. Oh dhe wasn't that happy.

A dark mist morphed on the ground a few feet away from them and snaked it's way through the trees heading ever so slowly towards them. Out from the mist came a guttural roar that sent fear shivering down Tsensu's spine. From what he was told, this was 'The Darkness'. He had heard the roar before, and had learned to fear it, run from it, and learn of it's destruction. 'The Darkness' had never personally effected Tsensu in any way, but he has heard tales of wolves being engulfed with the dark mist and never returning. He knew that they did not just simply dissapear, they were killed.
Even if Lithium didn't bring it with her, or even perhaps just following her they had to get away from it, and fast. "If that mist touches us, we're gone!" he barked loudly. His thoughts ran quickly through his mind as they were trapped between the evil mist and the waterfall.

Lithium looked at the male before looking at the mist heading her way. She was slightly annoyed at the fact that he accused her of brining it with her, or for that matter even asking if she had brought it with her. She shrugged the idea off of her shoulders before looking toward the makle and nodding. "Lets get out of here." She half grunted before she started to keep up with him with a run.
She was oddly calm about all of this, she was never much of one to panic at all. She was oddly clam about of a lot of things. She panted as she watched the male in front of her. He obviously had encountered this kind of thing many times more then lithium had. She kept upwith him as quickly as she could waiting for him to stop sos he could too, she wasn't going to stop until she knew it was safe.

They both ran along the shoulder of the river as Tsensu led the way. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure the female was keeping up with him, and to keep an eye on her to see if she would all the sudden sprint off on her own. He didn't want to know the possibilities of what might happen if they split up.
Glancing back a second time Tsensu could tell that the mist was getting closer. He was trying to think of another way of escape from the dark cloud instead of running. Thinking was the hardest thing to do at the moment. When fear has you in it's clutches it floods your mind, much to what fear was doing to Tsensu.
He stole a glance of the river, fearing it was going to be the last thing he saw before the darkness consumed them. He then realized the current of the river was running faster then them, and strongly considered jumping in. But what if Lithium doesn't follow? What if she looks at the river and thinks it's to dangerous? At this point Tsensu's thinking was ' I'd rather get beaten and bruised from the rocks in the current rather than running out of breath and the darkness getting us anyways.' Tsensu then ran along side with Lithium opposite of the river. He was hesitant to tell her what he had in mind and not wanting her to reject his idea and leaving them both still running, thinking of other ideas of escape. "Please don't hate me for this," he murmured as he suddenly rammed his shoulder into hers, knocking her off balance in the direction of the river.

Lithium looked at the male a little more concerned she wasn't that sure what both of them were going to do. She really didn't know what she was going to do herself. She didn't want to run the other way this was the first time of hers running into something like this and the idea that she wasn't that sure of what she was going to do with herself. She grunted slightly trying her hardest to figure out what was going to go on.
She wasn't paying attention at the second before she felt something hard his her shoulder and she yelped loudly. She had no clue it, what ever it was hit her. On top of that it made her even more nervous of what it was because of the darkness following them. For a moment as she stumbled she thought it was the darkness until her thoughts and processes caught up with her. She realized that it was the male running into her. She wasn't sure why he did that.
She held her breath quickly as she felt her paws hit the water. She franticly flailed her paws as she pulled herself above the water. "What did you do that for!" She snarled before she noticed her body being swept with the water she snarled her head being thrashed below and above the water. She loved the water and she loved swimming but this was something Compeltly different. She tired to hold herself avoce the water trying to keep an eye on the male, she wanted to know where he was but she was having the hardest time see him when he was going under the water. "Where did... you go!" she shouted inbetween breathlessness.

Tsensu quickly jumped in as soon as he tackled the female wolf into the water. He splashed into the river and the current pushed him into Lithium. "Sorry!" he said in reply of her questioning his actions. He saw that she was struggling to keep above water, and he knew that they needed to stick together in the current, so he softly clamped onto the back of her neck and said through clenched teeth and fur "We need to stay together." Other then the obvious fact that Tsensu stated, he was also trying his hardest to help Lithium keep her head above the water, as well as his own head. He paddled his paws as frantically as Lithium did and sometimes accidentally scraped his paws on Lithiums sides, it was difficult to swim when he couldn't throw his paws infront of him with Lithium there. Tsensu knew that now they needed to wait out the current until it brought them to calmer waters. He shifted his eyes to see that the dark mist was diminishing into the distance behind them. Now wasn't the time to relax yet, they needed to survive.
