Imagination and duct tape can solve more than you give it credit for. I'll do the honors and start!
Alex had finally found and empty compartment on the Hogwarts express, and managed to put her trunk on the rack. She sat down and looked out the window. They had barely left and she already missed her parents. She sighed. Alex hadn't been popular back at home. Always known as the nerd. What would people think of her here? Would anyone like her?

Amy was nervous, and buzzing with energy. There didn't seem to be any remotely empty cabins anywhere aboard the train. Then she found one. There was a girl who looked to be her age there.
"Do you mind if I join you?" Amy asked tentatively.

Arianna looked in all of the compartments, she finally found one with only two people, the others where so crowded! "Excuse me, may I join you? All the other compartments are crowded." Arianna said sliding open the door.

Amy went to shake Alex's hand, but tripped and fell into the window. "Sorry," She said looking very apologetic, "I'm a huge clutz." She then shook Alex's hand, hoping the girl wouldn't be mad at her.

Imagination and duct tape can solve more than you give it credit for. Alex laughed and shook Amy's hand. "It's okay," Alex said. Then she turned to the girl that just showed up. "Sure! Come on in!" Alex was overly excited to be meeting all these new people!

The new girl looked a bit older, but still nice. "Hi, I am Amy. That's Alex. Pleased to meet you." Amy stuck uot her hand in an effort to shake Arianna's.
