Alright, so I'm not sure if this is really much, but last night close to when I was going to fall asleep, I looked over towards my open door, which is made of wood and has been stained a dark color. In front of it, I saw a light-colored figure that seemed to be dancing at first. My eyes hurt from staring without blinking so when I began to think that I wanted to shut my eyes for just a moment to make them hurt less, in the air above it, a very scary face appeared, with an inhuman mouth, open, full of very sharp, sharklike teeth. I got a little scared. When I continued to observe this figure, it looked very feminine, and it looked like she was clutching at her chest where her heart would be. Then at her neck, like someone had wrapped something around it. It looked like she fell to her knees, doubled over, and she did the same when she was standing. Then she put her arms together and rocked them back and forth as you would with a baby.
I'm not really sure what to make of this. Any thoughts?

Whoa, if what you say is true. Then trippy encounter... As for what the creature is. It could be anything. So, I guess the thing didn't mean any harm since you're fine. Or did you feel threatened? Was it fear on your part or fear coming from your instincts because of the spirit's intentions being emanated? Do you think the spirit was even aware of you? Do you just have a scarier looking guardian? Do you have something stalking you?

Sounds like you have an unhappy spirit if you ask me.
I would try to first find out a little more about what it is and then try a room blessing. See if it comes to you again and think about the questions S asked.

I think the spirit, or whatever it was, just wanted to keep my attention. I saw the same type of thing last night as well, and I think someone may have hurt her, but we have no records of who built the house in the twenties.
Underworld Priestess: Well, I think I want to hold off on the room blessing mainly because I'm afraid that if I do, she may go away.
I believe she may be someone who lived in the house originally, because I've seen people in my room before, one woman and one man, with clothing from around the time it was built.

I believe she may be someone who lived in the house originally, because I've seen people in my room before, one woman and one man, with clothing from around the time it was built. Try talking to her. Ask her what happened.

Guys, I believe I've solved this mystery. So one of my cats has been a little less than healthy lately, and she passed away today. I believe this spirit, whoever she was, was trying to tell me this was going to happen. It seems to explain everything.
The clutching at her stomach/doubling over: C.C. (the cat) would not eat, suggesting a problem with her digestive system.
Neck and Chest: She also had trouble breathing, and had blood around her mouth when I saw her.
So now the only question I'm left with is this: Who was this...woman? A guide? I have no clue, but I thank her.

Probably someone who floated behind your shoulder and read what you just said more than likely. You can always say it aloud and get the message passed on to be sure. Or meditate and try to contact her.

That is why I said to find out more about her first. If she is unhappy perhaps she needs to find a way to move on. Just see if you can find out what she wants.

unfortunately my comments are gonna be kinda redundant. the best idea is to try meditation or some other form of spirit contact to see who she is and what she wants or what she truly does. if you never see her again then i'd say she's done what she meant to do. if you see her again then you definitely want to try talking to her. a house blessing would allow her to pass over into the void or at least put her spirit at rest and releive any pain she is currently feeling
