Well, if you live in Hawaii you know how expensive and difficult it can be living here! Things are always more pricey and we never have the same amount of stores and activities available on the mainland! So this thread is a place for collecting little-known helpful hints and information regarding stuff in our islands. Basically stuff that's cool, saves time/money, or things most people don't know about!
Here's a few things I happen to know:
- If you order a large fountain drink while eating at Zippy's (in the restaurant side) you get unlimited free refills! The perfect way to save money on a date here is to order just one and share! <3
- Toys N Joys, one of Oahu's popular anime-based merchandise stores, has a
Bargain Bin section of their website that always shows TONS of cool stuff on sale! Some stuff goes for as low as 80 to 90% off, plus you can choose to buy the items online!
- The Body Shop has several locations throughout Oahu, and almost ALL of the time they have some type of sale going on! If you're looking to get some normally pricey make up, bath, skin care, etc. stuff as a present for a girl friend, you can get a bunch of stuff at a really good price. I highly recommend checking one of their stores out during sale time!
- The second floor of Shirokiya at Ala Moana has a place that sells bubble tea for about 3-4 dollars. It's a pretty good sized serving and they have a TON of flavors. I recommend the Mango Banana. ;D
So what's some stuff that you guys know?
