Quote: The mountains slowly become forest as the sky is swallowed up by overhanging trees. It's dusk, the sky painted in brilliant oranges and reds fading into purple and deep blue where the brightest of stars just begin to sparkle. The air smells of pine and the afternoon's rain. The barest of breezes plays through the tops of the trees. Dulph didn't know how long how long he had 'slept' unknowing in that cave. But something had awakened him and he again made is way out into the world beyond. Making his way slowly out of the mountains, Biddulphia found himself in a forest. Not even sure what he was seeking, Dulph moved into the darkened depths, drawn by something silently whispering inside him.

Cai's small frame blended in quite nicely to the shadows of the undergrowth. His bright blue eyes nearly glowing in the shadows. His small frame began to tremble as he picked up the sounds of someone or something moving through the woods. They or it was moving towards his hiding spot.
His eyes widened as he scanned the surrounding area for a new hiding location. They were getting closer. Deciding to take his chances, Cai leapt out of the bush he was hiding in. His small frame heading for a larger bush not too far away.

Dulph, startled by the sudden small darting form of something dark, stopped. In complete stillness, he scanned the area where the thing had gone. Musing aloud, "Small, compact, dark, analyzing . . ."
Spotting the small Usdia as it's tail disappeared into the large bush, Biddulphia finally had enough information. "Young, alone, in danger." He processed the information for a moment before calling out to the other, "Greetings. You may emerge, I offer no harm. The forest is not safe for one so small to be alone. Please allow me to assist you in returning to your maternal or paternal caregivers." While Dulph's intent was to be reassuring, his tonal qualities did not change at all from his slightly metallic earlier musings except in volume.

He edged towards the back of the bush as whatever was approaching halted. His ears began to swivel wildly, first to the left and then to the right. Whatever it was, had stopped moving at least for the moment. Cai began to relax as the silence stretched onward.
However as the figure on the other side of the bush spoke, his muscles tensed up once more. Tilting his head slightly to the left, Cai regarded the voice quietly. Maybe he could trust them? Reaching a decision, Cai craned his neck out of the bush. His small muzzle and eyes just visible. Though he remained silent, at least for the time being.

Dulph stand still, waiting. Finally a small head appears from out of the bush. Biddulphia nods slightly in greeting. He processes for a long moment, trying to decide what to say to the small Usdia. "Do you need assistance, have you damaged yourself? Perhaps I may retrieve your caregivers for you."
His mind worked over the situation, trying to determine what was needed and how to accomplish it. Dulph, however, had never been one gifted with personal interaction skills and recognized that he was out of his depth.
Realizing the best course of action would be to find another adult to take over the care of this youngling, Dulph begins looking around, trying to see where the guardians, which he supposed could not be far, might be.
