idk if theyll make new episodes, but considering they put it back on air, they just gave the public more power!! they just might make new episodes...who knows.

Invader Zim is finished, there will be most likely be no more new episodes. Jhonen has no real interest in Zim. In fact, he doesn't really own Zim, Nick does. Proof of this would also be the fact that he makes no money off of sales or things centered around Zim (i.e. the DVDs or toys or anything like that). Jhonen feels that he can't trust the company that owns Nick, and so he doesn't want to do Zim. There was supposed to be a movie that would finish off the series, but Nick also cancelled it. So Zim is finished, pretty much. You get what you got.

The Daft Student Invader Zim is finished, there will be most likely be no more new episodes. Jhonen has no real interest in Zim. In fact, he doesn't really own Zim, Nick does. Proof of this would also be the fact that he makes no money off of sales or things centered around Zim (i.e. the DVDs or toys or anything like that). Jhonen feels that he can't trust the company that owns Nick, and so he doesn't want to do Zim. There was supposed to be a movie that would finish off the series, but Nick also cancelled it. So Zim is finished, pretty much. You get what you got. thanks for raining on my parade xp

I'll give you some excerpts from his Mindspill blog post: "show was doing alright on NICKTOONS, getting the 2nd highest rating of anything on the network, coming under Avatar." "I began getting calls from the network," Here's the FUNNY PART: "I loved the idea of doing more ZIM stuff!" "already imagining all kinds of fun stuff, " "more ZIM is probably too crazy for reality! The weird energy around resurrecting the show (that’s actually how one of the NICK execs referred to it) ebbed a bit in recent months and it looks like it’s not going to happen." "Reasons? The usual…too expensive, and not nearly soul-crushingly bland enough. Okay, I added that last part, but come on…you know that’s part of it!" "because the show simply doesn’t die. I'm glad that it's on Nicktoons, but I doubt about new episodes. I shouldn't really judge Nickelodeon, but I have a feeling that if they mainstreamed Invader Zim the show will go downhill. I'm glad we have what we have that was created by Jhonen, and not Nickelodeon. That's just my opinion.
