Her eyes a deep brown specked with gold seem to see into the heart of the world around her. Her long black hair shines in the sun and is often played with by passing breezes, as though even nature can not resist its obsidian cascade. She wears soft, supple leathers, pale against her warm, dark skin. Zyanya moves in silence as she places her toes first on the ground before her before settling the rest of her foot, learning to walk with the skill of a hunter from watching her father. Often barefoot, or with the most minimal moccasin, she has great strength in her shapely limbs.

My view on potential mate RPs.

This is something that has come up for me more than once. So I thought I'd put out there my thoughts on the issue.

~ I will want to RP before deciding on any kind of mating agreement past quick flings.
~ I have no problems, in the early stages of these RPs with both parties RPing with others to see where the plots take the characters.
~ Once the RP starts heading towards romance, I prefer the other person stop looking with that character [though continuing existing RPs is not a problem].
~ If, at any point during the RP either of us feels the match isn't right, I would ask that there be a conversation out of character to make sure both parties are on the same page.
~ If circumstances change and one of us can't post as much, a PM would be much appreciated. In a PM plans can be made for either continuation or cessation.
~ If you are not posting in an RP and yet actively posting on LR . . . I will be upset. It doesn't take much to let me know that you don't think the RP is going in the direction of mating. I am investing my time and energy into my characters, plots, and RPs. I do my best to respond to tags as quickly as I get them or within 24 hours of getting them. If I can't, I will send out a PM letting you know why. I don't like being dangled along while you look for a 'prettier' mate or further ego stroking for your character or whatever else is going on. If you just don't have time to post to an RP, you also don't have time to start something new.
~ I will expect to continue to have RP with a mate even after agreements have been made.
~ I am willing to do some background plotting instead of RP where needed/requested but I prefer RP most of the time and there are a few instances where I tend to feel background plotting is insufficient.
~ I try very hard to be nice and understanding. I will not nag or poke endlessly. I generally quote my RP partner when replying and accept that the other is busy and has a life beyond that. If I don't get a reply over the course of a month . . . I might poke, politely. But I will not push. If you are someone who needs more regular reminding, please let me know.
