*Short appearance by Kay It was mid afternoon as Kay walked along the path from her place to the shop, already feeling the pressure of time as she was running a little behind to a rather important meeting to discuss her future with her job. "Of course, the one day I can't seem to be on time..." She cursed, jogging down the familiar path as the sun speckled on the dirt infront of her from the beams of light seeping through the leaves above.
With tote bag slung over her shoulder, she pulled up her sleeve to check the time; thirty minutes....at least it would give her time to catch her breath once she got there and compose herself before it began.
However, glancing to the side of the trail she noticed the scuffle marks in the dirt and slowed her jog down to a hault. It wouldn't have phased her but the sigh of smeared blood rose her curiosity amongst the boot prints. "This is....odd...." She commented and followed further up the path, trying to play the scene out in her mind till she saw it veered off the small hill from the path. Pushing aside the bushed and looking down the slope; her eyes widened as she saw a figure laying near motionless with a spray of red locks making her sure it was a female.
"Oh s**t!" She gasped and quickly abandoned her bag along the path and slid down the incline, nearly tripping as she stumbled next to the vixen and immediately checked her pulse. Still breathing, but the wounds and bruises on her face made it seem she had been beaten up pretty badly. She had a small laceration on her forehead but it was nothing too serious aside from what seemed to be a concussion. Knowing she had nothing on her to help the vixen, Kay gently maneuvered the unconscious vixen onto her back; thankfully being bigger than her and navigated her way up the hill to get her bag. Holding on tight as she slung the strap behind the red haired vixen as a bit of additional strapping to keep her own she proceeded in a speed walk/slow jog.
"Help!!! Is Anyone out there!?" She hollered into the quite woods, aware the faster she could get help, the faster she could make it somewhere that could help her.

It was one of those days where the weather was balmy and the sun illuminated everything possible. Even on this day, the normally illusive Snake Eyes found himself walking down a forest trail, slowly and nonchalantly. It wasn't often he felt it safe to venture from his tree perches, but there was nothing for him to do anymore. He had heard of nasty things lurking in the forest, but he had yet to see them. In his mind, he secretly wished he could find one of these beasties.
He let out a silent sigh as he stopped on the path he was in as he heard a faint echo from his left. Perking his ears up he tried to hear what it was. Still only catching faint echoes, he jumped onto a nearby tree limb and raced towards the sound, soon finding a path where he spotted Kay running down it...with someone on her back?
Perplexed he jumped down and motioned for her to stop. Tilting his head, he looked at the black clad fox and swore something was familiar. Then he saw the red locks on the vixens head. His eyes widened and he gasped, his expression of shock easily apparent on his whole body as he took a few steps back

Nearly getting scared out of her skin as Snake appeared out of no where on the path infront of her; she nearly dropped her cargo but readjusted in time to stop like his paw motioned. Breathing heavily, she smiled in relief.
"Snake! Thank goodness....I need some help as she's in pretty rough shape....Snake...?" Kay's brows raised in confusion as something came over the fox....why did he look so shocked at this vixen? Trying to look behind her but only could see a mess of ruby locks in her vision, she adjusted the limp body once again on her back....even though she was bigger it didn't mean carrying her was any easy task.
"What's the matter with you?" She groaned, having to take a few steps forward to at least get a comfortable motion going than having her legs get tingly from pooling blood at her stationary position. "If you don't want to help then just nod so; but i'm already going to be late for a meeting I can't miss!" She hated to sound rude, but her future was a stake here and even if she was going to drag this vixen all the way to the shop she wasn't going to miss it as she once more moved into a slow jog after moving around Snake down the path.

But...but...How? his thoughts were just as speechless as he was..for once in his life. He honestly couldn't believe what he was seeing. He shook his head in disbelief, just now catching on to what Kay was saying. Why did she even bother helping if she's late? he asked himself, fearing he didn't understand, but all the same he couldn't just leave his former team mate like this. He had a few things that could fix her up...so he motioned for Kay to put her down.

Looking up as she caught on he wanted her to put the vixen down, she seemed to hesitate a moment. Looking from him, down the path, and then back to the ninja; she sighed, obviously feeling the stress of time. "Listen....I have a meeting to go to, to decide if I can still keep my job since I'm not going anywhere. Its reaaalllyy important that I make it there or for sure I'll lose it. If I keep going I can get her there on time and still get to my meeting. Unless I can leave her here with you and you'll take care of her, I have to go...."
For once there was a strange look of desperation in her eyes, clearly conveying her worry over the matter and the fact she wasn't going to leave this vixen unless it was in good paws. Never had she been left behind since coming here and she wasn't going to break that chain now.

He watched as Scarlett was put gently to the ground. He only watched helplessly as he felt old emotions he was sure he had hidden away, arise once more. But he would have to worry about that later. Kay was still there and going on and on about a meeting and how she was late. Swiftly he pulled out his communicator, typed frantically, and showed it to her. It said: Then why are you still here?

Raising her brow once more at just how long he was staring at the vixen, questions began to stir in her mind; yet as he whipped out that trusty communicator she couldn't help the smile creep onto her face. "Thanks, Snake. I owe you. If you need to bring her back to my place, I'm sure I can find a room for her!" The vixen waved and took off running as fast as she could down the path and out of sight towards the shop.
However, as Scarlett laid on the ground a small groan escaped her lips; slowly slipping back into consciousness as her head turned to the other side.

He watched as Kay took off like a bullet. She was almost fast enough to give him a run for his money. But now wasn't the time for thoughts of competition. He fished a small roll of gauss out from one of his pockets and some scissors. it was all he had, and it would have to work.
He looked back over and noticed Scarlett was starting to move. He acted fast, gliding over to her and kneeling down to the vixen's left side, quickly taking out some gauss and wrapping it around her head, lifting the tangled mess of hair so it wouldn't get caught in the bandaging. Only a few seconds and already he had covered up the wound on her forehead. At least it would stop the bleeding

Why does everything hurt.... She thought with another groan, feeling the pressure of someone against her skin...more specifically her head. There was a sharp pain there, but her eyes were so heavy that they dare not open. She was laying on something hard...but she could hear the distant sounds of birds and feel the gentle breeze....so she must have been out doors. Yet what had happened?
It was then the smell of blood reached her consious nose, and the flashback of being in the Cobra base's lab....the bright lights and the glint from the needle as it drew closer. Then darkness....followed by the image of one of those damned drones punching her...and further blackness.
Bristling as her body kicked into instinct she lashed up and grabbed the wrist as it was tying the gauze during that last second he pulled his paw away and snapped open her eyes....only to have them widen at just what she saw. She'd know that visor and suit anywhere....but what was with that snout, and ears? "S......Snake?"

She had grabbed his arm. That was...a good sign right. His ears perked up as she opened her eyes and questioned if it was him. Quickly, he nodded, feeling his ears fold down in sympathy. Than god he had them he could portray his feelings a bit better now....even if it was near impossible to move them at all.
He offered her a paw to help her up. Something he always did at Joe. He waited patiently for her to take it, knowing she probably has no clue of what she was now

What had happened to him? There was no hiding the confusion which stretched along her expression, not to mention some of the hurt she felt that it was now that he decided to show up. She could easily read his emotions now, even more so than she liked to believe she could when he was human.
Staring at his ears, she took his paw without fully realizing her own and hoisted her aching body up only to suddenly feel the full effect of the body change as she stumbled heavily; using his hold to keep herself in a standing position. Looking down the vixen's face would have paled if it could, her mouth slacking open as it was obvious the gears in her head were trying to work things out.
"W...What is going on, Snake!" What happened to him suddenly doubled in her concern as it seems the same thing has now happened to her as well; and she didn't like it one bit.

A look of worry stretched on his face as she had now realized that she too was not human anymore. He watched her momentarily trying to find something, but it didn't take long before his trained eye caught what he was looking for. A small patch of fur behind her ear seemed to move unnaturally. Similar to what he had as well.
Wasting no time he whipped out his communicator, typed only a brief second, and showed it to her. The message read: Nanomites.
He figured she being used to his way of communication, had read it fast, so he was equally as quick to flip the screen down. She wasn't like Kay..he didn't have to wait for her acknowledgment of the information before closing the device

It was true, as soon as she heard the familiar flick as clear as day of his communicator and looked over she had read it without a moment to waste...it pained her that it was a small comfort of days long gone. "That....explains things....Cobra...." Scarlett felt her jaws clench in a hidden anger, how dare they inject her with Nanomites.....
However she couldn't help but allow her gaze to keep shifting back to Snake....how did he get them? "Where...have you been?" There was an odd premise of hurt in her tones, she knew it wasn't her place to inquire about his missions....but for how he suddenly had been listed as MIA as she drilled Duke to tell her....he'd never know how painful a blow it was to hear it.
How hard it was to tell herself he was really gone.

His ears flattened at the mere mention of Cobra. Why are they messing with Joe like this? he thought to himself as he gave a bush not far by a look of death, but he didn't have time to make a comment, when he was soon grilled.
His head returned to look back at her, but beneath his visor his eyes were avoiding her emerald ones. It wasn't long until his head slowly turned to the right and down, having no answer, or not wishing to tell her. He wasn't sure which was the case

So that's how its going to be, huh Snake? Scarlett thought with a bit of distaste, not that she could really expect too much from him; she knew he was more reserved than most...even though she would like to think she did get him to open more since their time in Joe. Her own ears folded back as a clear sign she didn't approve of his true silence, before realizing and drawing her paws up to her ears. "Goodness..." She muttered, feeling along the large appendages.
Meanwhile as her eyes began to search around this new land, she couldn't help but wonder where on earth they actually were. Although Snake was indeed not the same, why didn't he try and get back to Joe? "Care to give a briefing of the place, then?"
