 She'd been out of her basket for a few days now, and all that Auster had accomplished was getting her back to his home. He had no idea how to handle a foal, but since he had found out she was an angeni, he had no intention of letting someone else take care of her. He could do it, if he put his mind to it. He just wish he'd known how much trouble she would be before he'd made up his mind.
"Suriel! Come back here!" he hollered, a deep frown crossing his face. In her innocence, she always wanted to run around and explore. He hated to crush that, but what if one day she ran into a kalona or a skinwalker? Now that'd he'd gotten attached to her, he didn't know what he'd do if something were to happen to her. He was still worried that she couldn't fly with those tattered wings, but she was too young to be worrying about that for now. He'd have to wait until the time came for her to learn how. He still wasn't even sure how he was going to teach her.
"Suriel!"

 Suriel was getting stronger every day she got to run about and explore. she was still a bit shaky on her legs at times but over all she was doing great. " BUT DADDY I WANNA RUN!!!!!" giggling, she was bounding about on ahead with her tattered wings all flared out and flapping. of course she was having a grand time of running off ahead of him, that was until she suddenly tripped over a tree root that she was no watching for. now fallen to the ground, she had a major pouting face with tears coming down her face.

Hearing her trip, Auster bounded forward to check on her, his frown turning to an expression of worry. When he found her in a dejected heap, tears running down his face, he rushed over to make sure she was okay.
"Suriel! I told you not to run ahead!" he scolded softly, nuzzling at her in an attempt to make her feel better. "Are you okay? Are you hurt any where?" He nosed at her, trying to see if he could find an injury himself.

Suriel sniffled as he scolded her, but nuzzled him back when he started to nuzzle her. "i think i'm ok." slowing getting to her feet, she then shook out her little mane. " i'm ok." smiling up at Auster, she started to prance about him to forget about the pain of having fallen down. " what are we going to do now?" stopping in place, she stared up at him with big wide eyes.

He only stopped nosing at her when he was certain that she was fine. Sighing in relief, he straightened back up, keeping a careful eye on her.
When she asked what they were going to do next, he paused. What were they going to do next? He had no idea. He was new to this, he had no idea what to do with foals, and he knew no one he could ask. Frowning a bit again, he asked "Are you hungry?"

Suriel fowned when asked if she was hungry. wrinkling her muzzle some, she shook her head. " no i'm not hungry yet." suddenly she grinned and started to prance about flapping her tattered wings. "i want to fly!!!!!!" still prancing about, she wanted to fly just like her surrogate father could. though it would be quite some time before she would be able to fly since she had only been out of her basket for a few days. "teach me to fly, please, please, pleeeeeeeeease!"

His eyes widened a bit. Teach her how to fly? She was far too young. And he was still doubting she even could fly. Frowning, he quickly shook his head. "No," he said firmly, starting forward again. "You're too young." And he still hadn't figured out how he'd teach her. Its not like his lesson with Phae went all that well.
But.. Phae had eventually learned how. Maybe he could ask her to help. He mused this as he walked on.

Suriel was quick to follow but she was pouting the whole time. she had really wanted to learn to fly already even if she was too young. "ok.........." ruffling her tattered wings, she still was pouting since she couldnt learn to fly yet. "can we play a game or do something fun?" tilting her head as she looked up at him, she looked hopeful that they would play a game or do something excitingly fun.

Still deep in thought, he didn't hear her question at first. An ear flicked as she spoke, but that was about all the reaction he gave. When he realized she had spoke though, he turned to look at her, his expression blank. "Hm?"
Games? He didn't know any games. "Oh. What sort of games were you thinking, little one?"

Suriel quickly nipped at him and then took off running as fast as her little legs could. "TAG YOUR IT!" laughing, she wanted to see if she could out run him in a game of tag. though being a foal, an adult could with ease catch up if they wanted. wings flared as she ran, she every once in a while would leap about and flaps her wings in a attempt to fly. "catch me if you can!"

If he was the sort to curse, this would have been the perfect situation. "SURIEL!" he yelled, bolting after her. Did the child never learn? She'd just fallen from running! "You're going to hurt yourself again!"
It wasn't that he didn't want her to play and have fun. He was just worried about her getting hurt again. That was it. He was going to have to find another foal for her to visit and play with. "Stop running!"

"Nooooooooooo you have to catch me first!!" still running as fast as she could, she was actually having lots of fun playing tag with her father. giggling as she was running, she actually had no interest in playing with other foals as she was rather shy of anyone new. unlike her father/daughter relationship with Auster, it was going to be hard for her to ever warm up to anyone new. "come on catch me!"

Grumbling darkly to himself, he continued chasing her. He knew he could out run her easily, but he didn't want to ruin her fun, and he also knew that if he caught her and stopped her, he'd be back at square one, and she'd be asking him what they were gonna do. And who knows what her next idea would be. He'd just have to keep a very watchful eye on her.

Suriel was grinning the whole time she was running, and suddenly decided to take a big leap into the air as best she could. she thought her running start would help get her up in the air, but that wasn't going to help when she was still way to young to fly. flapping her wings like mad, she went crashing right back down to the ground to say the lest. so now she was a all in a heap on the ground, with a major pout and tears. "it didnt work..........."

"I told you it wouldn't!" he said as he helped her up, checking her out again for any bumps and scrapes. "I wish you would listen. You're too young to fly. When you're old enough, I'll teach you. Until then, you need to be careful!"
He sighed and looked down at her. She was often so rash. What was he going to do with her. "Come on, lets go get something to eat."
