*~History~*
*~The Dragon Campaign~*
The Dragon Campaign, the great war of the races that took place over 11,000 years ago. Humans and the races fought against the powerful Winglies that oppressed them. The enslaved races that wished only for freedom from their captors were lead by one man, called Emperor Diaz. Under his command were seven powerful warriors, the incarnation of dragons, the Dragoons.
Dragoons, people who joined with the spirit of a dragon, they merged themselves as one. To call forth a power that could match that of the race that held themselves above the others. Within them was a strength that could both protect or destroy.
While the Dragoons fought on the frontlines as the main line of offence for the humans, the Winglies had their own trump cards, the Virage who fought toe to toe with against the Dragoons.
There were countless causalities on both sides. In the end, the humans rose as the victors. But due to the sacrifices, the humans and the remaining races were now free to live their own lives. The age of man had begun…..
*~After the campaign....~*
Dart, a young man on a quest for revenge against a fiend known as the Black Monster, returns home to find his home village destroyed and his childhood friend, Shana, kidnapped. With his quest for revenge aside, he leaves home once again to rescue her from the bowels of the Hellena Prison. As he is rescuing Shana, he meets another man, a knight of Serdio, Lavitz. , with his aid, Dart rescues the woman from prison.
Upon escaping Hellena, the three travel together to the kingdom which Lavitz serves and meets with King Albert. The two, Dart and Shana, agree to aid them in the war against his enemy and travel to the village of Hoax. Where they fight a man called Kongol, a massive creature known as a Giganto. Right when the battle seemed lost. A woman emerges from the night sky in dark armor and wings. She calls out to Dart, awakening the power within his father’s memento, the Dragoon.
With a burst of unknown power, Dart rises and defeats Kongol, who retreated with his army. After the power was released, he went unconscious.
When he wakes up, he finds the woman, who introduces herself as Rose. The woman explains that she had been following him. Interested in the power he possessed in the treasure he carried. That it was a Dragoon Spirit. That he was a Dragoon, like she was. Rose goes on to teach Dart about the Dragoons and follows him and the others on their quest.
As the four continue, they meet and fight a third Dragoon, the dragoon of wind. After the man was defeated, his spirit, rose and joined its power with Lavitz, making him the new Dragoon of Wind.
Shana, who got infected by the dragon’s poison, is taken to a clinic. After hearing of an antidote, Dart, Lavitz and Rose, leave her behind to seek out the herb. When they arrive, they find not the healing herb, but instead they find the Dragoon Spirit of the Silver Dragon, the Dragoon of Light. Left with little option, they take it back to Shana. Where the spirit, not only healed her, but claimed her as its next master.
The four warriors wander the town for awhile where they meet Haschel, an old companion and a mysterious silver haired man called Lloyd. After some relaxation, the group proceeded to leave the city, only to meet with a dying soldier that told that the castle and King Albert had been captured and taken to Hellena Prison.
Lavitz, with his duty to his king, leaves with Dart, Shana, Rose and the newly joined Haschel, leaves to go to the prison. Where the young knight ultimately meets his end by the hands of Lloyd, who stole something from the body of Albert.
With the spirit of the dragoon in the hands of Albert, the five continue to the palace to face Albert’s uncle to end the battle between their two kingdoms and unify the land. When they confront him, he reveals that he carried a dragoon spirit of his own. After they battled, the Emperor told them to follow after Lloyd. Afterwards he died, and his spirit choose Haschel as its new master.
The five warriors travelled in the path paved by Lloyd. Where they met a new face, a silver haired woman called Meru. And eventually met up with Kongol who decided he would aid them.
As the warriors continue on their journey, they found the sixth dragoon spirit that glowed in the hands of the Giganto. Soon afterwards fought the woman, who was on Lloyd’s side, which possessed the final spirit, the Dragoon Spirit of Ice that choose to be in the hands of Meru.
As the quest continued on, the seven warriors followed Lloyd into another country. As they visited the castle a bright light shined over Shana, releasing her from being a dragoon. Unable to fight, the woman stayed behind. While another, Miranda took her place.
As the warriors continued to travel the country, a dragon of ultimate power was released. The Divine Dragon, after finding a way to defeat him thanks to the help of Meru, and her people, the once mighty Winglies. The dragon met with a fate that the group wasn’t expecting. He was changed, by the hands of Lloyd into a dragoon spirit.
The group proceeded to follow him once more. The group succeeds in beating the rouge while he used the power of the ultimate dragoon. It is through Lloyd they learn of the kidnapping of Shana. Under Lloyd’s direction, they travel and meet with the man whose instructions Lloyd had been following.
When they meet the man, he removes the mask he had put on, and revealed himself to be Zieg a veteran of the Dragon Campaign, the father of Dart and the lover of Rose who they had both believed to be dead. It is there that Zieg reveals who Rose’s alternate identity, The Black Monster, who Dart had sworn to get revenge upon, for killing his family. That Rose too was one of the original dragoons who fought during the Dragon Campaign over 11,000 years before. She was on a quest to kill the Moon Child that was born every 108 years. The child that possessed the soul of the god of destruction, the Virage Embryo. He told of how Rose had missed the real Moon Child. The soul was within Shana. While the flesh of the god was in the sky, the Moon That Never Sets.
Zieg disappeared, taking Shana with him. The group soon followed him. They finally have their final confrontation at the Divine Tree. Where Zieg is released of the hold of being controlled by Melbu Frahma, the leader of the Winglies during the Dragon Campaign.
After taking the soul of the Moon Child from Shana, Melbu Frahma joined with the Moon and became the god himself. Lloyd tried to confront Melbu, but only met with his death, leaving the Spirit of the Divine Dragoon in the hands of Dart.
Together, the seven warriors: Dart, Rose, Haschel, Albert, Meru, Kongol, and Miranda, combined their powers as Dragoons and defeated Melbu Frahma.
After the defeat of the God of Destruction, Melbu attacked the group one last time to defeat the dragoons. Rose and Zieg put themselves in the blast to save the others at the sacrifice of their own lives.
*~The After Journey~*
A quarter of a century after the fight within the Moon That Never Sets, the world is at peace. The dragoons’ strength uncalled upon since that day. Many of them with children and families, while others have yet to take up their arms that have been untouched since their journey ended.
Though many of them aging, the dragoons agree to make one last journey, to the place where their original quest had ended, The Divine Tree. All of them carrying their respective spirit, except for the spirit of Thunder, which is now in the hands of Kongol, after it’s owner, Haschel passed away many years before.
The warriors had all gathered to this secret place only they still know the location to witness for themselves as Meru, had discovered, the dragoons of Fire and Darkness. The spirits that belonged to Zieg and Rose who sacrificed themselves to save the others after their battle. The two had been embedded into the soil at the bottom of the giant tree.
The warriors, after much debate amongst themselves, they agree to bury the remaining dragoon spirits at the base of the Divine Tree. So that the power that could cause war would never fall into the wrong hands, even after all of them passed away.
As they laid the gems into the ground and proceeded to cover them in dirt, the eight spirits: Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, Thunder and Divine, glowed together in a blinding light. After the light faded, the warriors opened their eyes to find that the eight spirits were gone…
